i believe i read somewhere that you need minimum 23-24% to be able to get the drop in a reasonable amount of time for events. past two medium events have been no problem and i am hoping its also enough for a hard event. yet to see a hard event.

Feelfree I'm assuming you mean the combined amount of the trophies on that percentage. I'm at 22% combined right now and I have to say I'm not seeing much of a difference in the drop rate for the short term crop. I still only get 3 to 4 drops for an entire field of the event plant. I'm thinking I might plant something a bit more long term for the overnight since there isn't one for the event. Hopefully I will get a good drop with first harvest and then just try to turn the fields as soon as I can.

    @100keltic

I've just read back through the thread a bit. I'm sorry if my post was misleading. The cloud row I was referring to was the prize one for this event. I don't have a cloud row that helps with drops, not sure one exists or not. I increased my drop rate by using comfort fields (CF) yesterday and planting my longest growing crop (spinach) in them. I had to use water, manure and SG (super-grow) on them to get the timing down to something reasonable. That is where I got my big drop increase from not from a cloud row. It was an investment in time as even with all the buffs it was still 20 hours grow time, as well as the buffs themselves. However I did get big ep's, lots of spinach and almost 50 drops for each field. :)

One of my farms started out with really bad drops, only 42 with 3 fields of iris and tea on the Island (29% trophies in the LL rune).

I got 52 drops this morning, no LL rune yet, trophies being lugged for a combined total of 23%, and I had planted cotton, spinach, artichokes, and red cabbage!!! I think the drops are set a bit low for this one!

yes combined, if you dont have LL make sure you f5 or even better reload after moving trophies. this game is so buggy. for a 6 day event thats 100/day, a little more actually to give you time for mill. you are well ahead of the pace. i just harvested, @24% i received 8-10 per field from event crop, 1x1 with cac if that matters. now stand at 139 markers with 4 fields left to harvest before bedtime. then change to a longer crop to be ready to harvest for 8am.
if anything the event crop will take the most time i think, a good 4 days. took a few hours to get enough seed to plant 4 fields this morning. i better take a trip to the market and see how low cac has dropped. maybe i should switch over to comfort fields overnight and do event crop, maybe i could save a cac.

Oh, not you, most likely me, I have a habit of reading as I would like to see/get.
Thank-you for outlining what you did, I will copy this and do it next grow in go event, I will get this one, by hook or sleepless 72 hours, or both!o_O

You know I hadn't thought of that but it's a great idea as 12 hours (water only buff) is reasonable for an overnight.

I haven't really checked my drops yet. Now I am milling the 2nd round and will have 30 books, later tonight. For the night, I am going for some longer crop, maybe blueberries and water. Then, after seeding all my fields, I will mill some more. Trying to get as much plants as possible before Sunday. Might even get all, if using the island. The EP's for the event crops are pretty good lately.

For some reason the trophies are giving me less drops - tested on last two harvest of full 1x1 on glade and main, meadow is not full 1x1 about half still have about 6 pens there, baha have 5 pens and ep givers taking up another 2x2 worth the rest is 1x1 only 15 markers total. Second harvest no trophies same configuration got 27 markers total. Not sure what is up with this but it happened on last event also. First CAC used about 5300 plants so far.
I think eventually I will get the markers - got a good amount from first long harvest 131 markers total so far - 469 to go.
The paint cans is what I am worried about - no paint cans at all.o_O
Even did a couple of quests to get the toolboxes and no paint cans from that either.
I hope the devs make a change to the drop rate for paint cans otherwise I can not complete the event.:(

I have unlocked living legend rune just before this event and my trophies are at 23% combined, I am satisfied with the drop rate: I have collected 193 Markers so far :)

I have had this problem a lot in these events. Until you have very high level trophies.... the ONLY way to get good drops is to plant long growing overnight. By all means use water and manure if you can afford it to speed the overnight crops.
As is mentioned before the only thing living legend rune does is keep you from having to move your trophies around... it will not increase you event drops. I will post this question to the mods since many people have different opinions on the Living legend rune.

Planting the event crop WILL NOT get you the drops you need to complete the event because it is only a 4 hour crop.

The only way I have found to get enough event drops is to plant the event crop when I'm around and then plant the longest crop I have overnight. For the last event I used hazelnuts... I'm trying [organic] cotton now.
I'm giving this advice assuming you will use 1x1's and Carrot apple chutney if you need to to get enough of the basic event crop to meet the numbers needed for the event.

I have never gotten good drops from lg or xl or xxl trees.

I've never heard of a cloud row that helps with event drops.

The flowers decorations items that can be won on the party wheel have a cloud row that speeds event crops but they show up rarely on the party wheel [which is a VERY expensive gamble] and one needs all 5 before they help you at all.

my experience was different, moving with trophies didn't give me a good drop rate, rather i was getting more when two of them were placed in two different fields (fixed, no moving) but Living Legend rune has shown me a better result so far, as I said I unlocked it yesterday only :)

For example, I used to get 20-25 drops from each of my lands with my longest crop Ray, but last night it was 30-33 each land

The flower cloud row does NOT speed up the growing of event crops. It speeds up all "flower" crops. They must say they are a "flower" in the description. Event crops are "Other" even if they depict some kind of flower. What the flower cloud row does for event crops is give you more EP.

    Type: Themed
    Cooldown time: 48 hours
Effects: 30% more EP/BEP & 10% faster growing time for "Flowers" crop category
plus 10% more EP for event crops, all effects lasting for 24 hours!
