What is your strategy for those quests? I seem to have trouble finishing even one of them. I only select them when there is a bonus baby boom but even then I have trouble completing anything. Can anyone give me any suggestions please?

The only thing you could do besides what you are doing is to earn lots of CCs and buy the necessary animals in the market. Breeding quests are a long term goal. Without skips, it takes over 65000 basic animals to breed up to 1 top level animal (plus lots of PF). (This explains why the top breeding animals are so expensive.)

After playing for years, I managed to reach stage nine of all the breeding quests, I wanted to finish them, but it seem it is going to take more years for me, so it is a delayed project, I am not trying to finish these quests now because the rewards are not encouraging, there is a lot of better things to do with the high level colored animals like soup and friends, castles in the sand, they give much better rewards, I found that after these I need to work on red and pink stalls and workshops, yet there is another goal for me before I turn back to these breeding quests, what I think is the chances to get good skips in baby boom day was tweaked so the chances are lower than before, so at this rate it is going to be long and costly if I use the market, my personal advice is to leave them be for now, and keep watching the market for good bargains for colored animals, but to work on these I think it is better to start with goats and bats since their prices are the cheapest among the other animals, have a good stock of these and wait for a BBD and hope for luck to be on your side.

[Aussie] This is a great conversation to have. I have finished a couple of them and am stuck on needing a few of the last levels on most of the rest. I have finished Soup n Friends and as much of Castles in the Sand as I'm willing to (just can't bring myself to do that last level). I would love to hear from some other seasoned players who have finished more and their tips on how to.
Reaching those top animals by breeding them is a long, hard process. I only breed on BBD and will breed a set amount of each animal. If I get a skip, great, I will either keep it for use later or sell it. Mostly I sell off what I have bred and use the profits to buy higher animals to breed up. I'm always searching the markets for deals. Like abubadi66 said look at the goats, bats, pigs, or sheep as the first level can be bought fairly cheap saving you PF. I have found that the higher farm level I reach it seems the less skips I get...or maybe they have just changed it.
I know logically these quests are not cost efficient but, what can I say I have FOCD:)

I suggest.... easy does it. During every BBD, do a little bit of one or two specific animals that you require. Slowly but surely, you can gain some momentum. I don't think there is any easy fix for this one. Half the fun is waiting and the expectation of what you will get. Plus the satisfaction of knowing you bred the animals yourself. This is purely personal choice and as suggested above... you can sell in the market, make cc's and buy what you need at astronomical prices.

i'm at level 91 and have not finish a single breeding quest. I did got a piggy bank pig, but used it in soup and friends that give much better rewards. I was going to work on the breeding, when they started to offer new quests with the babies or other demands and I found out their rewards were much better. So The breeding quests will have to wait. I almost never buy the breeding animals, as I like the satisfaction to have done the job myself. I only breed during BB. Yes, the skip are not frequent, most of the time you get 2 or 4 of the basic animal in addition to the normal reward.

I do not do breeding. I was initially interested in it. But stopped long back ago. I do not buy power feeds. Use only those I get from doing quest. As for breeding events, I do those events which seems to be absolutely necessary or give you very good reward. Others I just skip.

Like several others above, my strategy is to complete the first few easy levels, then to wait and almost do every other quest first (I am also waiting on the quests for the expensive products). Since BBD are mostly offered during events, I concentrate on those then. When that is done I will work on getting any new animal up to about the 3rd or fourth level. Beyond that, soup and friends, or just selling animals to buy stuff for other quests offers a much better return. If I get a great skip, I sometimes will donate it to the next level of a breeding quest, but only if I cannot use the animal in soup and friends or sell for a quick return to buy stuff for other quests.

My next breeding goal, after soup and friends (and perhaps as a duel goal)will be to get a base stock of the first few breeding animals, to use for future events. Only after that will I work on higher level breeding animals.

Just my opinion, most likely not worth a buck,

    1. I hate to buy what I can grow/breed.
    2. I never have any CC, the farm is still eating everything I make, more workshops, stalls etc.
    3. The little suckers are just too cute!

I see the breeding quest, and I look at like this, the barn is the center of the universe.
And as such it must be feed cared for and loved.:music:

I must get a good healthy stock of everything to make it happy.
It will take time to get all the areas of the barn comfy, that being, crops, other, products and breeding animals etc.
Before I feed a quest with my high level animals I need to feed that section of my barn, one may never know what this game has around the corner.
Good ie: the last event, for me this was the 1st time an event called for items from my other area, my drops can be used in an event?! this floored me.o_O
But goes to show me my world here revolves around the barn, and I must feed that before I worry about the quest.
I am trying to get 2nd level animals right now, but you know, them suckers hard to hold onto, hear me out, I told myself I will not sell any till I get them for every animal -.- then at the end of my rope I sold a bunch to get my LL up in % so I would have more on my side of the scale.
So as for breeding quests getting done? take a number and get to the back of the line, I gots more important things to worry about, now to get my hands on more combs.....

Here's my only high level, and he has his own little stall:
His name is Harvey, and I hug him and pet him.

@100keltic, you are a new player and I appreciate what you are doing, in my first year I did not have the luxury to have what I want and this game need patience, I learned it the hard way, so better you voluntarily teach your self that instead of learning it the hard way, set up you goals and work on them, make priorities, no harm in delaying some goals, and make your first goal getting good balance of cc, that helps later, the colored animals can wait unless there is a good reward you can't miss, I tried to do every thing in the beginning and ended no where, just in my place, also I learned that goals are not achieved easily, and what comes on the way is a bonus, the breeding thing here is designed to be for hi levels, so build your self then you will know when is the time to throw all you have into it, now I am level 92 and a few days more I am hitting 93, I have finished almost every thing and what remains is the breeding goals at their highest stages, so my advise is build cc, level up and tackle the breeding things and the colored stall upgrades, avoid the yellow and try for the orange now until you can afford the others later, I am sorry if this is not the thing you want to hear (read) but it is my personal experience I share it from my heart for you and all the other new or mid level players.

Lol, I am going slow, that is why I have all the breeding quest take a number and get to the back of the line, meaning Everything else is ahead of them.
I am working on, during breeding quest love them runes and more bang for the buck, I make XX amount of animals, depending on if I can buy PF yes I done buy'ed it and not regret it or ashamed to say it, it is something I can afford, I allow myself to buy things but only to my limit, would love the harvester, but not in my allowed budget.
Or what I can mill. Harvey came to me from a 1st cuckoo breeding, he is now in my park and will most likely stay there till I get another jump, or win one then can make a pink pen.
I got some great advice here and I listen, I took forever to get 30 stalls of most of the main animals, And will keep buying them until all the main animals have 42 I think, full field anyway.

That is why I do not see me in the million CC club anytime this year.:sleepy:
Right now I am working on getting the barn stocked, all by me growing or raising myself. I read where a farmer sorry didn't write your name down, but they say to get the 1st page of seed plants on the for sale page in barn to 100thou, after I picked myself up off the floor I started with wheat.
As another farmer, again sorry about name, said they got to a lot of CC by selling wheat in market after a 16 hour growing run, so I figured I get to 100thou wheat then do another 100thou to sell when events come up needing it and make the money.
I just got the 1st 100thou of wheat last night yeah for me! and now will have to place that goal aside as the geese came. Will get back to it no hurry I can rest knowing I got wheat to fall back on till then.:music:

As for the quests I did not go into it as you may have to be mad to do it my way but since I only have half a marble it works for me, and I am reaaally bad at math, and I get distracted by shinny things.
<if new sooo do not do anything you will read past this point>

I go about this in a if it fits leave it there.
Thats it my whole way of playing this game.

I will grow something or rise something needed in the barn and while it is out I go look threw the quests, if what I am doing is needed in one or more I will leave it working till something comes up that needs the room on the farm, <see events that pop up and ruin my plans, as I must do them all, yep I must>.
I do not do the math and figure out how many I need to finish anything, <see I hate math as much as it hates me> and yes doing it this way I have put away things I really should have left out like them elderberry trees-.-3 times I came back to the farm took em down to later find the quest that needs just 35 more and the level is done, but oh well just put them out again and hope I don't forget this time around.
Or the quest I did this way and finished right up to needing maple sap tree that I cannot get till I am level 77, well when I get there it will be a quick one to finish:p. Now would it have been better to use the items in other areas that would have been better for me? don't really care, as I did fill as I went threw and now those parts done, next.....

I really just depends on what I have out as to what gets filled on quests, before this I was doing animals, with full intentions to get a set amount in the barn and finish the noah quest, as I been hitting it for a long time bit by bit.
Got to the last of the animals and got suck on horses, then events, came need for crops need for feed now still working on crops to make food I go by what ever is the lowest gets milled next and grow crops for the next to mill got stopped again geese.
well that is my relaxed way of doing this, not smart, wise, effective, or cost anything but it's fun to me as every time I mess up I have to do something around the house I hate the to do jar is getting empty I can tell ya, basement has never been so clean.:wuerg:
I will stomp my foot, I may whine, even hold my breath, but it's a game in the end, and what will happen if I don't finish a quest? not get 60 ostrich, or get that hard to hold million CC? not a thing. I plan on playing this for years to come if it is still around, and I am sure them birds will be there as long too at this point!-.-
Yes, I drool and envy other farms..... but I will be there one day till then I can still lust:inlove:
Right now I am testing the whole if you offer the price will go up thing in market, never been so far up as to be able to mill enough fast enough to play but now I can... :music:

Great post keltic :D I think the most important thing is to find a way to play that you enjoy :)

Congratulations on 100k wheat, well done :D I reached that for the first time last week, with the bonus from the farm wheel.

    Great idea, so funny xDxD:p

Thank-you it was not easy, It has been hard enough to take the laptop everywhere but to get on every 7 min.?! man, the comments that came about being a person that can't let the net alone for a min..... now if they only knew I was playing a game:music:
I had to go for the wheat, I think you where in that thread, I am almost done with your recommendation of getting the 30 stall per animal, and has that ever paid off thanx! but getting 100k is a goal to go for, next oats..... one day back to them big birds lol. xD

Since i have gets reached level 21 i have started experimenting with chickens first.

    4 chickens= 1 roster
    3 chickens + 1 roster= 1 silky
    1 roster + 1 silky +2 chickens = 1 silky.

for now i only did thees.

Hi promaster, you might want to wait until the mini event "Baby boom day (BBD)", then you will get extra animals :D It usually comes one weekend every month. Most farmers find it a waste of PF to breed when there is no BBD.
