Strategy: Country Doodles

I use Cac and Zab all the time everyday regardless of an event, but still drops are low..but they will get heavy soon.

Yeah i know ....I've made it to finish events all except my 1st ever one in fact i always end up having over 300 extra drops by the end of the events .... I dont know why they still create such a feeling of anxiety it's so silly lol ...

 

Sketch book - You have to make in the mill. You can use both mills(Farmerama Mill + Bahamarama Mill). You have to grow the event crops to produce Sketch books and also use the drop items. Drops(markers) + event crops = sketch book. Click the sketch book icon in the mill and then click the icon "mix" found the right lower end.

Drop rates for event crop in 1x1 fields are horrible. Got 2, 3, so on in my 4 fields. Only Roses are going to save me. Putting lot of faith on Roses.

 

Sorry frogs, but none of that improve drops...

 

I have finished up to step 5, only the lat step remains, I need event crops and 150 drops + 125 for the sketchbooks, that's 275 total, my main field with roses overnight gave me 13 drops, while my magical glade with winter jasmine gave 17, I think I might be able to finish by tomorrow morning.
For the comfort fields, to get better understanding for the drops, the comparison should be done using the same crop and 2x2 plots, but comparing hazelnuts with event crop, and CF with 1x1 plots is not going to give a fair comparison, and keeping in mind the random factor that will not give the same results for each harvest and the way the system is dealing with the fractions that some times it adds up to a hole number, or ignored if it is less than 50%.

 

it's ok Mir ...... I have EVERYTHING milled and grown ..... now have Carnations in all the mainland fields... and cactus on baha ... only need 125 drops ... i think i'll do it no sweat

 

That is good From your post it just seemed like you expected the CAC, ZAB, CB and owls to help with the drops, but they don't, so just wanted to avoid any confusion there

Sorry to Hear many of you not getting good drops of Markers using Comfort Fields they do take four times as long to grow but half as many drops as you would using 2x2 Fields. But if you use 2x2 4 times over using same crop you would have got more drops.

I always make sure i try my best to have a good head start on getting Event Drops. I have Milled All 55 Sketch Books Needed and have grown all Paint Jar Plants Needed for this Event too. Just Need to Get couple Hundred Markers needed to Get to complete this Event

I am in the same boat as all of you. Sketchbooks done, crops will be done today (hopefully-- will be gone most of the day) and just waiting on drops. Crops would have been done but I have left out trees and pens that are needed for sale so will have to do more rounds of growing. The plants are pretty...wonder if I have a whole farm of them if I could get into the pink club?

 

I actually like the look of the newly planted event crop better than the mature plants.

 

Made it to the last level! The roses I planted overnight gave me enough markers to finish level 5 (it sounds like carnations are the better bet, but I don't have access to them yet).

All I need now for level 6 is 165 markers and 3 more sketchbooks. I'll mill the last 3 sketchbooks as soon as I can get 15 markers (flowers are already set aside), then it's just a matter of waiting on 150 more drops.

 

I have finished all five farms; I did not buy any baskets etc. However I did use the roses refinement to increase my drops so I could finish before I go away for the weekend. Now I don't have to worry any more. My clouds have been activated.

I do agree with other posters, you still have time to get the drops you need - past experience says the drops seem to increase near the end but there is always the SOS thread for those who are short.

My Drop rate seems to have increased now.

 

I have finished through level 5, waiting on 30 markers to finish the event.
I always throw in some refined roses while I'm building up my starter seeds. This gives me a jump on drops but they are really slow this time. I'm also planting refined onions overnight.
There is still plenty of time and they usually do pick up towards the end.
