Yep, we got 4 inches of rain yesterday with more on the way tonight. At least we didn't get the 14 inches they got in another part of the state. I guess it's better than the big drought we had in 2010 but we could still at least plant crops then. We haven't been able to put a tractor out on the hay fields all winter it's been so wet. Lots of lost revenue right there, I don't even want to think about it.

Mir it's lovely where you live that is a beautiful picture.

Mir, those trees are absolutely gorgeous :inlove:. Very pretty place to live.
We have been having perfect weather. Bright sunshine with a cool sea breeze, temps in the mid 80 F range. Great beach weather ;)

We expected a hot summer. Moreover these are the hottest days of every year (Kathiri Veyil). Guess what ? We had summer rains for nearly a week and it felt like rainy season. Summer rains usually last only for a day or two. But not this season. Still raining in most part of our state. But sun has come to our city. I got myself drenched in rain and felt very happy.

New record set today: My city has gotten 1468 mm of rain so far this year :sleepy: previous record for most rain in the period January to May was from 1990.

Today is to reach 88 and overcast, which is a perfect day to sit deck side and watch my hummingbird family flock to the feeders. I too always drink through a straw so we have a good day for "sipping" our sweet delights :inlove: (I am fed through a tube in my tummy so the straw is a favorite tool for me to enjoy all the calories I can get!):p

Now are 30 degree Celsius. But because the humidity level is high, we feel more than 30. And no wind. I was thinking wile coming home "Please a little wind will be so nice". And then the wind started to blow -.- The wind was so Hot! You know that hot air when open the oven door? I was almost there :wuerg:

Should we say congratulations for the new record Mir?

Well I don't know what to say. Indian summers are always hot. We were lucky here in Tamilnadu. We had some rain due to Heat Convection. So we were able to tide over few days to a week. Now hot once again.

But our neighbouring States like Andhra and Telangana were not so luck. 4 days earlier, the death toll to the heat all over India was 500 and out of it nearly 400 were from above 2 States. Old peoples and road laying workers who were exposed to direct sun were the main casualty. Highly inhuman to make them work in scorching sun. The roads may be laid in Night with help of powerful lights. Why did no one think about it?>:( Now the toll is reaching 1000.:(

Temperatures are reaching 48C (118F)(Allahabad), 44C(111F)( Delhi) and in other parts. If south west monsoon starts within a week. We will be saved.

Wow ! What a write up. I have become an reporter.:D

24C ? We have them during winter seasons- during nights.

    Hi Mir !
    Congratulations !

Today is a reflection of yesterday, 88 and overcast (great for fishing!) The news is terrible though over in Texas with all that rain. Pray this stops soon. Just terrible.

So much rain so much flooding. I'm very fortunate not to live in a low lying area or near one of the bayous in the city. It's impossible to get anywhere though and we have more rain in the forecast for the weekend. Worst part of all is we have not even hit hurricane season yet. Wish we could send some of this rain to California as they could sure use it.

Oh what a glorious morning here :):):) Wall to wall sunshine and warm, but not too hot. Now, do I drive into town, do the shopping, fill up the car, do the domestic chores such as ironing, cooking, washing and housework ...... :wuerg: ..OR ... do I get two steaks out the freezer, knock together a quick salad and adjourn to the garden with a good book, chilled bottle of wine and the obnoxious self-opinionated bag of feathers (parrot) to keep me company ..? ..... Tough choice xDxDxD
