drop rate is way low again. I'm high level, got loads of howies, and know how to plant for drops.....and still i'm not even close to gaining what I need. So far.... I'm thinking this event is not balanced very well yet.

About the only complaint I have is that there doesn't seem to be a clear labeling of the level. It might be flashing too quick for me to see, but I would like to see a prominent label showing me what level I am at. Right now, I have to compare the prizes to those given in the FAQs, which is a tad irritating.

This event is easy for folks who have been around and who have the tools already in stock. It is difficult to impossible for others, impossible if you don't happen to luck out and get boards and paint in drops or purchased tool boxes. If you are offering this type of quest again, it might be worth considering a temporary "change up" of the drop ratios, maybe offer an optional purchasable package of tools with gauranteed amounts of the event items along with random amounts, or maybe offer a product or temporary deco item/mill product that will boost the chances of the particular drops (to something around 30% at least). This could be offered for sale or might be part of the event.

I am with the others in mixed feelings about the CAC row. Its nice, but my concern is not so much dropping the market, its just that it seems this will be a major bonus to those of us who are able to get the row and that anyone not able to get it, (either because they are too new now or have not yet joined) will be at a serious disadvantage. I am not sure how to get around that. If you offer too small of rewards, then they are not enticing. However, any time you offer very big prizes, you will inherently either truly make things more difficult for those coming up later or just make things seem more difficult to those coming later. Since this is an individual game, that is not necessarily a "deal breaker", but I think it should be a concern because when people hear about advantages others have and that are not available to them, it builds up resentment -- to a point. One way to get around that might be to offer repeats of older quests after a long period of time -- perhaps with options of "consumables" (set amounts of powerfeed or craft products, for example) as an optional reward for those who might already have the offered cloud row.

Bizarrely - the cloud row. I ate and crafted my way to level 4, spent BBs on CAC recipe, having even crafted some to sell only to find that now I can have it for free. Gee thanks. Sometimes there needs to be perks for spending and at the moment it seems as if the spenders are getting slapped in the face. Sure give CAC as prizes, that levels the playing field a little but why a cloud row that gives regularly?
    Low drop rate.
Use of wood boards - why not nails? Everybody is always short of woodboards.

I think I will reserve judgement on this event ( namely the cloud row) until we see what is coming down the pike... I have a feeling a not good feeling, that this will give bp the excuse to overwhelm us with massive amounts of even crops needed in the near future. Not a happy thought:(.
I don't know if it will really make much difference in the market, I find that price gouging takes place there on a regular basis already. There are also those players that come to market and undercut to such a degree that you lose money if you try to compete with them.
I would like to hope that bp takes all factors into account when deciding on future changes.

I agree with TCRooster about the cloud row. I have it now but feel cheated that I worked hard for my level 4 confectionary, paid for the recipe and spent valuable farming time on the crops to make it only to have this row show up. If you had to offer this row, why so short a re-activation time? What will BP undermine next?

I liked the graphics, the flowers were very pretty. Big plus to be able to use the Baha mill and I enjoyed the different set up for the event. I don't think the drops are any lower than they have been there is just no long term event crop to plant so it gives the appearance of low drop rates. I do think that an increase in the drop rate for the specific tools needed would have been nice. I watched closely and I've received exactly one paint can during the course of this event so far. If I hadn't already had them then there is no way I could have finished.

As to the cloud row well I would be lying if I said I wasn't excited about being able to have CAC on a regular basis. I can certainly see things from the side of the players who have spent their time leveling up their trade and then purchasing the recipe. I do think this will make the price go down in the market but that might be a good thing for all the newer players and those that do not get the CR from this event. I can only speak for myself when I say I would not and have not purchased CAC on the market as it was simply to expensive. I know there is no way to please everyone but I want to be ecstatic about getting this reward and at the same time having my fellow experienced farmers unhappy (for good reasons) is making that hard.

I like the event and I love the reward of a CAC cloud row. I always use CAC whenever I grow crops (which is most of the time) and it will be a relief to only have to buy one every other day. I get that people who bought a very expensive recipe in order to make CC's will be very disappointed, I would be too. However for me, this feels like a nice gesture to those of us who regularly spend money on practical stuff like the harvester subscription.

I feel like the harvester and CAC kind of goes together. CAC is most useful with 1x1 fields and a lot of us would never dream of harvesting those by hand (carpal tunnel syndrome anyone?). So, hmm. This, unlike a lot of other things BP has done in the last few months looks like a deal that could be beneficial to both players and corporation. Players get access to free or cheaper CAC and BP might get some extra harvester subscriptions. I don't think it's a coincidence that this cloud row and the harvester subscription event take place during the same time. Well, if there was a strategy, it succeded here. I refused to pay last month because I was angry and disappointed with BP and Farmerama but this month I will shell out for a subscription.

The major expense in producing CAC is the investment in TIME - It took me a year to get my confectionary and build it to level 4. Over 50000 experience points are needed either by making various products or by consuming various products. You can make your own or buy them in the market for CCs.

MATERIALS - There are FSQs to build the initial shop and to upgrade it to each level.

One goes through an inordinate amount of sugar and various crops just to get to level 4.

Once you do that, IF you buy the recipe during a half price sale, you spend 100 BBs.

Then you can start crafting the product. If you were to purchase in the market or seed shop the necessary items, you would spend over 20000 CCs for the raw ingredients. If you grow the items needed, you would devote one field for 14 hr 30 minutes average, a second field 4 hours average and the third field 10 minutes plus the space for at least 3 apple trees for 7 to 10 hours. If you need sugar, you would be spending 14 BBs per CAC as it requires 70 sugar for each.

During this time, you would not be growing anything else on these fields.

People complain all the time about not having enough space for the crops/animals/trees/workshops they want to place. There is little room for other things if you are growing CAC supplies.

Those of you that feel the price of CAC on the market is too high, what would you sell it for?

While I understand that the market price of CC has to reflect the resources and time that go into making it, it is also somewhat of a vicious circle. When I could only get CAC on the market I thought the price was too high meaning I didn't have enough CCs to buy it often. After a bit more progress I had the CCs to buy enough for events...then I got the recipe and made most of what I use now. I'm sure I'm not the only one. So I don't know what the impact of the market for CAC will be once things settle down. People at lower level and those without the CR will continue to buy on the market.

I wonder more what the impact will be on the PPP market price. I still have to buy that but since I mostly used it to extend CAC I probably won't need to buy as much PPP.

LIKE the event in general, easy format, good drop rate and very quick to finish.
Great Cloud Row bursting with EP.

DISLIKE: Adding CAC to the mix, no need to destroy the market on CAC as the EP was enough to make the row amazing. I don't agree that the price of CAC in the market was to high, not even close.

Well I really liked this event it was fun the flowers were pretty and the rewards were great. I'm a fan of the cloud row but I think that will be true for most of the newer players. I have not been able to buy CAC for the simple fact that I can't afford it. That is not to say that I think it is overpriced it is simply too expensive for my budget. There is a big difference in those two things.

Well stated, LDCrow. It was a long time before I could buy CAC and while during an event it could rise, I never felt it was overpriced. Needless to say, when I could finally afford to buy, I was careful about when.

At level 63, I think this requirement is going to keep me from progressing any further. I don't have the $$ to drop on potential chances in tool boxes. I need 12 and they are just not dropping. I like the structure and feel of this event. I am disappointed that I will not be able to see it play out to the end because my luck was not good enough, rather than because of my farming/playing ability. I do not think most lower level players will be able to move beyond this point as well. It seems like some of the events are designed so that only very high level, long time players or people with lots of money to spend, have access to the complete experience. If these are repeatable events, I could see that as a viable structure. Something to work toward being able to do. But as a one time event, it leaves a bit of a bad taste in the mouth so to speak, rather than motivational.

The event was easy to me, and all was ok, just a typical event, grow event crops, collect drops, mill the ingredients, the rewards were ok, but nothing new or creative, after years of doing the same routine I started to loose interest in such events, for the graphics, even I like the event crop, the general picture of a field with event crop looks hazy to me and out of focus, lacking some contrast, it looks like a sketch colored with crayons, just like a still live drawing, for the cloud row, even I am indifference to the issue of carrot apple chutney, I am not happy with the cloud row or any cloud row you are going to bring because they are repetitive and we have too many rows, at 29 pages with 85 row existing on my stalk, it is a heavy burden, unless you bring something new and creative that we do not have before, I am not interested, other wise I do the events as a sense of duty, so may be I should start selecting what events I should do and what cloud rows I have to skip, the fun factor is lost here to me. please restore the fun to the game.

Have you checked your farmer society quests to see if you can get any toolboxes from there? That might help you :)
