Strategy: Ocean Day

The way i actually see it is i need 490. I am expecting to harvest 4 times a day for 5 days due to time issues perhaps. This means 20 cycles. SO that means each cycle i need 24.5. So in reality i need 25 stables.

 

Wow ... thanks to everyone for crunching all of the numbers. It looks like I'll be giving this one a miss. I only have enough supplies to build 3 stables, and I'm away at work the next two days. Being relatively new and struggling with Baha EP I would have loved the cloud row ... but maybe next time.

Calculations for For 1 x 1 fields - using Carrot Apple Chutney


Total no. of fields & seeds= 588 plots/588 seeds.

So one round of harvest gives you 588 * 4 = 2352 crops.
Only 1764 can be deposited in the event. 588 needed for re-plantation. 588 can be added to the last harvest. So we need to grow 17300-588 = 16712 crops. 588 will be retained by us through out the event as seeds.

To acquire the total of 16712 crops you need to harvest 9.5 times (16712/1764)

Duration of the event 4th June to 10th June.
Let's leave out 4th (will be taken up for increasing the seeds) & 10th (for many event would end during office hours).So two harvest per day will give us the required amount. That's 2 harvest on 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, and 9th. The remaining days its upto you to increase your drops.



Calculation for comfort fields
2*2 fields. odd 1x1 &1x2 fields excluded


1. Without CAC
Total no. of fields = 128 plots.
No. of seeds required = 128x3=384
So one round of harvest gives you 128 * 15 = 1920 crops.
1920-384 =1536 crops can be deposited per harvest.
17,300-384 seeds = 16,916 crops required to be produced. 384 can be added to the last harvest.
To acquire the total of 16,916 crops you need to harvest 11.013 times (16916/1536)


2. With CAC
Total no. of fields = 128 plots.
So one round of harvest gives you 128 * 17 = 2176 crops.
2176-384 =1792 crops can be deposited per harvest.
17,300-384 seeds = 16,916 crops required to be produced. 384 can be added to the last harvest.
To acquire the total of 17,300 crops you need to harvest 9.5 times (16916/1792)

Note : I have not included the odd 1x2, 1x1 fields for comfort fields.

And for any of the above calculation, the required number of seeds for planting the entire farms should be acquired and planted on the night when the event starts. All fields should be opened. I have not calculated the time factor for comfort field. For 1x1 - 2 harvest per day is easily attainable. All these are only for achieving total number of crops. Not for calculating drops etc.

I prefer 1x1 method.

I think I have calculated correctly. If anything is wrong, please correct me.

a little confused here, stable and workshop mean the same thing for this event? and with above statement from faq, feed=plume animal=?? to get the workshop started.

 

This event is bad timing. The next two days will be spent in school (at least lots of the time), Friday evening is occupied and on Saturday we have lots people over. I think I need to re-read the FAQ's and then decide.

We need to start the mill as soon as we have some left over plants.

12ss12 There is one tiny little flaw with your numbers.... The yield using 588 1X1 plots would actually be 1764, you forgot that you need to reseed.

For anyone interested... to figure out how many you can get for a round with CAC.. (# of plots available) X 3 = yield per round

I think the workshop doesn't need animal. Just feed it and it will blossom into something beautiful and then you can harvest.

This event is going to be hard for my schedule. Ugh

 

I'm not sure yet, if I'm going to participate in this event. It's a hard one indeed, as Teddy has stated in the FAQ. I like the items, but that's only for the looks of it. Although the CR gives a nice amount of BEP, I've got CR's that give much more and which are filled. So I don't really need this one.
I'd really love to get my hands on all the wonder trees and stables. That's something I'd really like, but it would mean about 12k Seaweed, 340 Sea plumes and a little over 1k sea salt.
I don't really have the time to farm that much the coming days. I'll sleep a night on it and decide tomorrow. At the moment I'm leaning towards not participating due to time contraints.

I think I am gonna play this event in this farm only. My other farm farhanas1 will not be able to get 1450 drops! It's gonna be challenging even with 23% trophy boost I guess

I think we will need more harvests.. because even though one harvest gives 2352 crops, 588 of them needed as seeds so effective gain would be 2352-588= 1764, only the last harvest will yield 2352 crops.
Plus the initial 588 will take at least 3 harvests..
so minimum harvests needed will be 13..i think..

 

The good news is 8h event crop. Time for RL. Made me very happy until... I read on...

SoSo news... I'm not terribly thrilled with the CR. I only harvest CRs once a day. I can easily get 3500BEP by growing something and buying Trade Products. I'll decide on last day based on my total accumulation.

The bad news is... 4h/3h stables. Lots of babysitting. VERY ANNOYING!

More bad news... I think this is the highest drop requirement I've ever seen in nearly 4y of playing. If you have trouble with drops, now is the time to post in the SOS thread.

More bad news FOR ME... Unless I want to get up in the middle of the night and setup the farm... I'll miss out on the first 6h of the event. Again... If I don't want to miss sleep... I'll miss the last 6h of the event. That leaves me with only 5.5d. First day is buildup. Last day is mopup.

My current plan...
Today I'm clearing Main, Meadow and Glade and putting in 1x1s. By late afternoon I will plant "refined" carnations on those three fields, wait until after the event starts to harvest. Plant/harvest event crops until done. I'll plant 3 rounds per day w/ water during the day. w/o water at night. Day 2... start the mill. Milling will take half a day. (Still trying to learn the new mill...) Day 3... carpet Baha with 40 event animal pens. Harvest pens as often as I can. I should be able to get 5 rounds of pens per day. (Are sea plumes the same as sea anemones?) Everything should come together on the last day. I've never gotten that many event drops in any event using my usual strategies. I get barely more than 200 event drops per day. Depending on how much time I have. If they don't increase the drop rate... most are going to need to buy drops (which I refuse to do) or grow "instant" roses on the last day. The thing with "instant" roses... they use a lot of resources aka SG, which for some people is REAL money. Faster to just buy the drops.

As usual I'll accumulate everything and make my decisions on the last day as far as if I need to cherry pick.

With my busy RL and all the problems I'm having with Flash and Shockwave and my aging computer... I need some luck too. Getting tired of the demands of this game. Less and less fun...

EDIT: Planting 3 rounds of 8h event crop per day instead of a round of longer crop overnight is going to cost me drops. The HIGH requirement of crops and drops really does make this one of the hardest events we've ever had. If I can't do events without spending money on PF, SG, etc. I'm going to stop playing this game.

 

forget to check the calendar, so plant something long which carnation could not fit as inital
plant. Anyway. I will find the way to solve it.
When typing, I got a way: still plant carnation , but then use SG for 10 (2X2) plot of land , so
that I could have enough land for the frist 10 seeds. As it's 8 hr crop. my carnation will be ready
before the event crop matured.

It's hard event. Huge amount crop, drops & event stable animal need.
For farmers doubt if they could finished the whle event. remember, do not mill all the feeds at once! !
Event need 490 sea plumes, that is 490 salts. you will be getting screw once you find you just need
few drops for finishing certain level but your salts had all gone to the feed But you know that you
could not raise those sea plumes!
Remember, pick the level you want the prize. for Baha item/CR. My advice is , if you do not sure you
could get the cloud row, try the "clean team" first, it had highest BEP (do LV2 diamond)

Hi, ok I got the CAC will buy the EM and ZAB can some math mind work this one out? How many do I buy? how do I eat them, and does that slot thing come into play? where you move things around? I haven't learned that yet. How many of everything and can they be stacked if I need more than one to last the event?

Ok, need these too I got cheese balls, but does that slot thing come again into play here with the other stuff and this stuff do I use eggnog if the cheese balls don't fit?
Again need to buy the valentine pot please how many to last the event will be needed?

watching prices, how many of these can one eat should eat? When all at once?
Sorry to be all eeek a mouse, but I need to do it right and get these thing bought before the prices take a shot to pluto.

I got board, I learned and did not touch it, so should be good on them. now to use Mir85 math and work out what all I need to do with that 4th part not opened.. I am gettin them bananas as fast as I can, still too many chambers away to open anytime soon.
