I had 3 days to spare as far as the flowers went, so I started planting long term crops and went and sewed (not near enough done, but I'm getting there). It took me two full days to get enough drops. AND, I suspect that the only reason I was able to get them is because I leveled up on the trophies twice each. Without that extra percentage of drop rate, I don't think I would have made it even in three days.

The drop rate on that event was bad...really bad.

True SewingLady; very true. I know the site's purpose here is to make money, so they want people to buy the "baskets", but the small amount of drops seemed contrived, which is unfair. But, congratulations to you for completing the task! And for doing some more sewing :)

Congrats Sewinglady on finishing the event! Chris, yep drops can sometimes be really bad. I'm sorry I didn't see the posts until now, I would have sent you some markers! You might already know this, but there is almost always a SOS thread set up for each event. People who are having trouble getting enough event drops can post on the SOS thread, asking for help. It can make all the difference!

what is it used for? it was there at the beginning of the game and still i cant see what it can be used for? havnt seen fsq that uses it.
took me awhile to figure out hit singles and peacocks but still no clue with the dang cheese.

Justin Beaver asks for it occasionally... He doesn't get a lot of his requests to me filled...I don't like wasting products on a customer who barely gives any EP and doesn't give any CC at all.

thnx guys, i see cheese dropping in price a little and bought a few but will stop buying now. i do not fill fho.

I do fill them, but I'm selective about which ones I fill. First off, they don't get platypus or kiwi birds. Period. They also don't get anything I'm saving up for quests (ever notice how they want quest specific animals right when you need them to breed or for an event?). And I don't fill the orders if the buyer doesn't give both CC and EP.

One thing I do tend to do is fill the Bahamarama FHOs. It does help level up on Bahamarama much faster.

I fill 1 in day and I chose the one who give's most of EP an CC. As for Baha, I have just Van Ramme and Tiger Dood. Which I fill both for level up faster.

i used to do them at the start but just too expensive. paying 8-10cc/point on average is double what you can buy an artisan product for.
red punch on my market is going around 4.5cc/point. buy twice as much ep or bep from market than fho.

I usually don't buy stuff to fulfill orders...if I don't have it from what I've grown/raised the order doesn't get filled. I don't know why I feel differently about quest items than I do about customer orders, but I do. Guess I'm just weird that way.

next time you go to fill out an order just take a second and see what you can sell those same items on the market for. those pandas, elephants, parrots, bananas, all those items you worked hard to get, all those hours spent day after day slowly accumulating them in your barn. add the order up and then take a look at langos or red punch or even a chocolate cake.
then ask yourself " why am i selling my hard earned goods for a 50% discount to fho?"

with all these events all the time its getting harder and harder to generate cc's.

This is something to think about it... thanks for the advice.

Okay, now I have to tell about a little thing I've been overlooking. Up until a few days ago, I had never used the "builder" portion of the harvester functions. What was wrong with me? I've been deleting and laying fields by hand all this time! I must be nuts. It's my new best friend.

Woo Hoo!!! I'm trophy free!!! I milked another 60 stars out of FSQ's last night and turned those babies over. Such a relief not to have to drag those things from field to field and then have to refresh just to make sure they register. :D:D:D:D:D

Oh and Sewinglady I love the builder function as well. Just be careful as with all the harvester tools cause if you delete the wrong thing you've deleted them all.

Hi, farm friends! I just want to remind the newbies in this thread that there is a SOS thread where you can ask for help with event drops...the current event is asking for a ton of sea salt, I might end up using the thread myself (It wouldn't be the first time xD )!

Also, I have a quick question: are any of you still looking for a neighbor? A real life friend of mine just joined the game, and she posted in the Neighbor Request Thread, but she still needs one or two neighbors to help her clear some land. If anyone has a neighbor slot empty and is willing to help out, she (and I) would really appreciate it! :D She gifts regularly and has been leveling up fast, almost as if someone named Steph keeps sending her crafting goodies...:music:
    Her name is lucylu_jillaroo
    Thanks!!:)

Is it my imagination or are the drops better for this event than the last one? BP seemed awful stingy with those markers...especially now that I am comparing the drop rate with what I'm getting for sea salt. I got 29 of the sea salt off my main farm field this morning (it had the event crop planted overnight).

Even so this event is going to be tough to finish. I have 25 of those ponds on my Bahamarama - I hope it's enough.

You are right - I was just thinking the same thing; but the harvest requirements are a damn sight higher!
    (ponds??)
