Newbie observation

ponds - those things we have to put on Bahamarama for the plumes. Plume farms or whatever they're called. I dunno. I call 'em ponds. Have you watched them? There's a little starfish that plays peekaboo. too darn cute!

Now I'm off to get myself pasted together - have errands to run - grocery store, Target, bank, and get my nail fixed. Too much sewing. Chipped my acrylic.

 

Plume pools.

Dammit! I made the plumes, didnt realise they were "plume food"! Where the heck do I find a plume pool???

 

Chris, you have to build the plume pools in the workshop (the building is in the lower left corner in the city). It takes 10 nails, 1 hammer, and 5 wood boards to build each pool, and you should make 20-25 of them. The pools can then be found in your island animal inventory. Each pool requires 1 plume feed, and produces 1 plume (animal). You need 490 plume animals to fully complete the event...that's why it's a good idea to make at least 20 plume pools.

valentine pot and water alone drop plume stable to 2:35, thats 5 harvests a day comfortably. if you havnt started by now you will need more stables. before you go ahead check to make sure you have the tools to build that many.

 

Thanks for that bit of advice FF2W; just popped to the market on Bessie (my trusty tractor) and bought 2 pots at a good price.... but is it one of those buffs that you need to activate before you start the stable running, or is it like the CAC, that activates immediately? (don't want to make that mistake again!)

OH! And I just noticed I have a ton of pink jelly - will that work? Or is it just for animals???

Used Valentine Pot before feeding the animal stable(s).

 

Hi Chris pink jelly will only work on the breeding pastures not the stables.

 

I find that most of the animal housing and workshop buffs have to be applied prior to feeding them. Certainly anything that involves reducing their growth time with the exception of water. I think the only buff you can add prior to harvest would be one that increases EP/BEP earned. Most of the crop buffs on the other hand seem to be applied prior to harvest as opposed to prior to planting the crop itself.

 

Thanks gays and gals. Another question (maybe just to keep this thread on page one ) I have picked up a lot of "mandrake" - what trade is it use for? If not one I will be doing, maybe I should sell it or give it away

 

Mandrakes are used in the Alchemist. You can not sell or give it away.

You also can't sell any of the stuff you make in the alchemist either and there's a lot who think it is the least useful of the trades. I haven't opened it and don't know if I will.

 

Like that about the alchemist stuff being unusable outside the alchemy lab, what about these stables we have bought - the pool thingies: at the end of the event, can we break them up and get our nails and planks back? or sell them back to BP? or will they be stacked in the stable crate forever and a day?

I think this task will be impossible to complete; just calculated that I need 8900 seaweeds and a couple of thousand plumes yet, and the salt is not dropping as readily as it was in the beginning either

 

ive always assumed we were allowed 10 trades on the market max. many times i have seen players with 20 lots for sale but today i saw someone with 58 lots of wheat for sale lol. maybe something to do with market problems? even though the market is said to be fixed now.

 

Premium players can offer 20 lots No one should be able to offer 58

 

So I'm wondering what is the best choice for a 1x2 for an open CR? This would be for the free CR's they give you once you open up the beanstalk. I got a great deal in the pirates cove on a couple of small volcano's and the cheering fans are obviously the way to go for the 1x1's but I'm not sure I want to spend 13BB's on a 2x1. The CR only gives 1000EP so I don't want to use the few 2x1's I have since I will get better EP with them in my park using my nightmare pet.

Any suggestions? Maybe I just need to wait for the half price sale in the shop.
