Strategy: Ocean Day

2nd farm BillyWhiskers just got 51 drops from a field of spinach.

 

Oh my goodness I am trying not to panic.... i will hopefully finish with my event seaweed today, than i can concentrate on drops. I keep telling myself to breathe... lol. I try and look back and remember this happening with all other events and it seems I always finish so there is still hope for me. Taking advantage of my week end and in hopes that i can use my work days to gather those much needed drops. So many of them to gather..... oh no!!

 

71 hours left and I still need 500 drops!

 

I don't think there's any way I'll be able to finish this. I missed the first 2 days (got home from vacation part way thru day 2 and had no time to farm before bed), and all my seaweed has been going to plume food, so I have none to donate . I'll do what I can, tho, and hopefully get a few nice prizes. Bummed I missed out on the CAC cloud row, hope they put it for sale some time in the future. Congrats to those who are finished or near finished!

@FarmerMolly, don't worry, you'll get the drops. They always seem to take forever, then at the end there's a flood. And drops seem to be pretty good this time around, so I have faith you'll get what you need.

 

Well i figured i would give my whats left strategy. I will say my goal was to finish the event completely.

According to my handy dandy event tracker, i need:

9492 seaweed
165 sea plumes
450 sea salt

The event ends wednesday morning for me, so that means i have sunday monday and tuesday all day. Plus a possible early morning wednesday harvest for more drops if needed.

I have been getting 150 sea plumes a day so no worry there.
I plant 538 1x1 plots with CAC two times a day for seaweed. This means with 6 to go i will make 3(profit)x538x6 = 9684 seaweed. So i am good on that one.

The tricky one might be the sea salt. I have 450 to go but have earned 1000 so far. Percentage wise i am 70% done and i still have 3 1/2 days to go.

I think the 2 seaweed plantings a day mixed with an overnight crop like onions, or hazelnuts has given me enough drops that i should be able to finish this one.

 

This has definitely been a challenging event. I've done things completely backwards from what I would usually do but had to work around my schedule.
I was gone from the farm all day yesterday so I planted carnations. Came home late last night and put in sea weed overnight. When I harvested this morning I had all of my sea salt. Now I only need 120 sea plumes and 2 rounds of sea weed (1 is already planted).

Hi Spots It a Bummer when this Event was in it 2nd Day. But it is a huge ask to try complete this event. With the Remaining Event Timer. You can be able to grow all the Seaweed. But you would need to have 41 Sea Plume Pens on the island. But Need 490 Sea Salt to Make the Plume Feeds....they do not take that long to mill on Bahm Island. But getting 1450 Sea Salt would be the biggest Problem unless your are prepare to use loads of Super Grow. Growing Seaweeds and Carnations.

Just Try do what you can with this Event. I am on my last harvest of Seaweed shortly but still working on Making Sea Plumes as i have only 20 of them on the island. As I am Trying to Finish the Totally Tea Quests with Green Tea as it needs 25,000 Green Tea for this quest

 

I, too missed some time. I am just plugging along. I have not bothered to check if I will finish, but also not terribly worried. The cloud row is OK, but not spectacular enough to stress about. My first goal is the trees and wonder pens. If I get the row, it will be a nice bonus.

 

spots - you can still make it-- as people are finishing up with still more than 2 days left, that will be the equivalent of you getting started late on the 2nd day. I used 40 pools on Baha and am finished with the plumes and just need to grow seaweed. I did grow seaweed overnight a couple of nights because I was going to miss a harvest due to RL appointments. Good luck! It will be tight but you can still make it!

 

My strategy has been to complete this event in it's entirety. All silver steps are completed, half of the gold (they will be done today), and then onto diamond. I won't panic, there is still so much time left!!! Good luck to you all! And congrats to those finishing.

 

I am all done now, just need 99 more salt and I am finished !!!!

 

Have all the plume feed done, so son't need to worry about that anymore. Step 3 diamond and the rest of step 4 still to go. So I will be done when all my plumes are done as I only need one more round of seaweed, which is planted.

 

WHERE IS TO SEA PLUMES ?

 

You build a stable for them in the city and then place the stable on baha. you mill the food for the sea plumes in the baha mill

 

I don't think I will be able to finish the event if I start planting event junks tomorrow. No need to bother.

 

I didn't think I would be able to finish this event anyway and having just looked at what I still need to get I'm still thinking that way. I still need 556 sea salt and 3622 seaweed so if I can get that finished up and start growing some longer crops to increase my drop rate I might get close.

I've reached my own personal main goal which was to complete step 3 and get all the trees. I've done silver step 4 and I think I'm going to hold off on donating more until I get closer to the end.

I think you are confusing it with something else The platypus was introduced with the Lyra wonder stables, do you can get both kiwi and platypus from them, but no tortoise. Here is the FAQ

 

Well your right of course Mir, not surprising. I'm confusing it with the Lynx stables from the new and old stable event. Easy enough to see where that confusion came from. I will edit my post accordingly and now I have a much harder choice on what to finish out of this quest.

Clearly the sun has gone to my head. I need 121 plume feed, so how many do I have in my barn? 162 Not sure how I miscalculated by that much!
