I'm still doing the crops but I'm on purpose growing more of them than needed just to mill the surplus and feed the sea plume pools: B-EPs they yield are so great that I thought it a good way of taking best advantage of the 100% EP/B-EP bonus gotten from the Summer Calendar thing. My 24 pools are yielding between 18K and 20/21K B-EPs per harvest -figure varies depending on what CRs I have active at any harvest moment-.

 

Task 3 - for the Mermaid giver and all of those trees!

 

hehe I just put my plume pools back on baha cause I made extra crops by accident...

I'm so surprised I was able to finish this event... it's nice to be able to finish something for a change.
thanks again to my neighbors and friends sending the salt.
I'm just grateful to the devs that they made the drop rate so high many people were able to finish

 

Yay so did I. I get between 37k-40k per harvest from my 40 plumes. It's really worth it.

 

Finished this morning, should have been last night but my counting elves were off on the number of plumes so I had to grow another 5 today. Now have fingers crossed hoping for something good on the rare trees and stables. This one was a challenge and fun despite my miscounting!

in addition to building up the trophies [very painful but worth it... cheap high value tree crops]

but I just wanna say this also
I never did the supergrow refinement [there is a whole thread on refinements] on roses [you will get them eventually] because I don't spend supergrow except when I first get the crops started.

when you get higher level crops look for ones that you use a lot or that have refinements you can unlock like early bloomer [with no negative effects] and water love or water effectiveness... manure refinements aren't as helpful because poo costs so much during events. then just keep growing those crops overnight until you get enough crops to try to get the refinements.
it, like everything else in the game take a long time... but getting some good long crops... I've gotten cotton, a 17 hour crop down to 11:15 with water and poo... is worth the effort.

Of course now that I've written the above I realize I'm being a moron for not having the supergrow super roses as a backup so I guess I need to grow some roses to do the refinement LOL

 

No extra plume feed, no extra sea plumes, 7 extra seaweed and 122 extra sea salt. Completed event? Priceless!

 

Just waiting on 30 more sea salt! I've got another one done on my next harvest tonight!

 

i think I may just do it with one last harvest in the morning.... before I leave for work. Nothing like cutting it right down to the wire. I believe I will only need 120 drops to complete the event..... i have one field of a shorter crop that i'm hoping will yield 12 drops which is what I need for the last step of #3. Then only 120 will remain which is what i need for the last step. I am confident ..... keeping fingers crossed that this will do it. I want to thank all my neighbors and those of you here that have sent me drops. You are all amazing and I couldn't do these things without your kindness and all the helpful advice. ps.... i have extra plumes and extra event crops lol go figure!!

Just 22 more sea salt and I will be done. I've got a couple of fields to harvest in about 20 min and hopefully that will do it.

 

Wow, over 300 posts and 17 pages of Strategy..this must really be a tough one!
I'm sad that this is the first Event I've missed since October 2011 (when I missed the last stage of the harvest Event - never got "Bear with Lantern" which is killing me) but my Dear Grandma 94-years of age needed my attention and I missed most of the Event.
I've been trying to keep up with the crops but got weeds twice, they are as pretty as Event flowers so even tried to harvest before realizing

I've plastered my island with the workshops so hopefully I'll get a few Plumes together to collect some rewards.

Thanks neighbours and Friends for sending things my way! I've been hopeless but will get better

 

I was sure I would not complete this event (didn't log in the day before the event, so no initial drop bonanza) but 12 hours to go and I only need 333 seaweed (ready in about 2 hours) and 46 sea salt (not an impossible task in 12h).

So I am very optimistic I'll make it

 

finished event several hours ago, forgot to post, Had other pressing matters to attend in rl.. imagine that! Silly people expect food for dinner, clean clothes, clean dishes... and I even chopped down weeds in part of my backyard they were only 4 feet tall.

 

Finally done! The game took great delight in milking out those last few sea salt to me even going down to just needing one. Finally gave it up and I finished. Good luck to all those still trying to complete!

 

I have finished and planted my trees and stables

 

That was exciting! I finished on both farms. Two fields (on Chevrefeuille) - one of Roses (25), one of Raspberries (53) - yielded all but 30 of the required drops, then my field of Carnations gave me another 39 ... then I nearly forgot to fill and activate my Cloud Row in my excitement.

Thank you to all those who sent me Sea Salt when they saw how many bloomers I made! Still, it gave the event a little more edge!
