My suggestion is that you open one animal you can breed to take advantage of BBDs. If you open Pandas and then the breeding statue for pandas, there is another statue that gives 333 pandas for either 20 GB or 200BB.

@dafodily Before you spend your GB on shipwreck I would check out the FAQ and be sure to have the items needed opened first. It can be a big disappointment to spend all your GB to open something just to find out you need to open a bunch of other things first.

I would say unlock the parrots, they are needed in many FSQs, if you open green tea or something else you might find some demands for parrots that will not allow you to proceed, I always keep a stock of parrots not less than 300. Bahama bar, opening Gala I, Party in paradise, smoothie for Laura, Island cosmetics, and shipwreck bay I quests they all require parrots, if you want my advise, do not jump rooms in the temple hoping to get more BEP, it will disturb the balance, you will need those later when you are at high levels and you need a lot of BEP to level up say after you reach level 150 on the Island, you might open some and jump a few levels and then you find your self stuck with lower BEP animals and trees which makes leveling up harder

Thanks for the feedback @CaliChrome , @offmyrocker & @abubadi66, you all have valid points. Shipwreck Bay is my next goal while accumulating more stars so I can open the LL rune ( only 68 stars to go). I've unlocked the Parrot statue, bought 10 Parrot pens & am milling lots & lots of Parrot feed ... lol.

Hoping to get a Parrot Feather tree or 2 in G&T. I've been keeping the giver items we received for the Easter & Chech events on Bahamarama because the BEP is just so much better than the CR gives, but that takes up valuable growing space. So Shipwreck Bay needs to be opened. But jumping around the chambers opening higher level statues could lead to some frustrations, so will work on completing FSQ's I've already started. With the exception of the Parrots & Sloths (needed for Shipwreck Bay), the Panda statue looks like a very good place to start with island animals.

So who thinks I can accumulate enough GB's to unlock the statues I need for Shipwreck Bay & the Pandas before the Coral Reef opens??? :p

Edit: Parrots are working nicely, only 50 stars to go! :D

Edit: LL rune unlocked! xD:DxD Finally no more dragging around those trophies. (Though now I have a couple of Howie Doughnuts, thanks to my mentor, instead ... lol).

I usually don't grow event crops on bahamarama, since the BEP from event crops are worse than the BEP from normal baha crops. So I only do it if have to, to get enough crops. But if I have time during events I put out my Classic II parrots, that's a win-win-win, they give great BEP, the parrots sell for a good amount of CC, and you get manure to sell during the event. The only thing is that you have to harvest them often.

On baha I mill panda and camel feed all the time. I buy parrot feed, it is cheaper than making my own. The other animals (elephants, sloths and anacondas) I don't raise them at all, I buy the ones I need :)

Mir I follow your advice closely and now have Chopstick Factory's Orange and all the high giver stalls and workshops on Bahamarama all the time. Thanks Mir :)

    Thank you Erridge :)

I want to say that the orange chopstick factories are not as good now, as they were when I wrote that post. After they changed the stable master rune, it is not easy to harvest them twice a day anymore :( (you need lots of buffs to do it, I just gave up on it). But they still give good BEP.

I have 6 Orange chopstick factories and buffs, several pets and 4 howie donuts. I can harvest the factories in 12 hours and 5 minutes. I will have 12 Factories when I complete third level of part 3 of Castles in the Sand quest. I'm doing OK. I'm still following your posts so I can glean good advice/strategies. :)

I use my Baha eps cloud rows as soon as they are ready. Apart from the Workshop row and event crops row, I don't keep them to use strategically. This has helped me to get lots of GB's. 103 spare now. :)

Unlocked Sloth statute :D, end of Shipwreck Bay I FSQ is in sight! ;)
Just need 400 sloths & 1200 mangos (for feed) :wuerg:. Now I know why mangos are always triple the price of mandarins. Think I'll hoard GB's for awhile in hopes of Coral Reef while trying to decide between Pandas & Panda breeding and FSQ's requirements needing Cassava & Monkey statues unlocked. Though unlocking Lychees statue to make my own Chameleon feed (rather than buying it) is appealing. :music: It's been slow (felt like it's been very slow) but steady progress on Bahamarama.
Stars & Golden Bananas can never have enough!:p:cry:

Edit: Sloths are so s...l...o...w, -.- 150 down, 250 to go. I think my depth perception is a bit off, :wuerg: the end is in sight just further away than I was hoping. I've only done 5 Sloth enclosures vs. the 10 parrots, but the CC's & growing space are too valuable. I've got all my XXL & rare trees out (where-o-where is that orchard for trees ), between FSQ's (mostly selling for CC's) & wanting to accumulate as much tree fruit as possible for Oct/Nov event. ;) This is definitely the patience part of farming. LOL!

Edit: Finished FSQ Shipwreck Bay I ... WOOHOO! ... Broke down and bought another 5 Sloths. They were just too S......L.....O.....W xD

Thanks to all the wonderful information in this thread and others, I was able to open the Pandanus Palm statue. I am now almost all the way through Baha (sort of bittersweet, because what next... oh wait, there is still the regular EP levels, lol!.. and maybe even coral reef at some point???? )

With the new rainforest area for Baha Island.

How does this change the strategy for you?

For me, not at all, just speeds things up. I now have more room for more trees, pens and crops. I am expecting some new quests will follow, will wait and see.

For newer people, the question will be whether to open the new land before doing other tree of wisdom items.

For that question I think you will have to shake the "Magic 8 Ball" and ask our oracles...
What would Aluntino and Mooboy have to say on that question?
New Land or Other tree, for those hard earned Stars for our up and coming Farmers?

Well on my baby farm I was saving stars to open the LL rune. I had 3 sections of Baha open at level 43. I chose to spend the stars to open the new land. Time will tell, but I think I can earn the stars back pretty fast with the expanded space. CAC is so cheap to buy now that I haven't spent any stars there yet, only stopped to pick up the breeding runes.
I already have some Baha EP givers won from events that are sitting on that new land too. ;)

Hmmm....I'm glad I don't have to answer the question of new land vs the LL rune. Although I think I would still rate the LL rune as the highest priority. I would say that opening the new land had a higher priority than opening the spa which was the 2nd big rune I saved up for after the LL.

I got used to moving the trophies-- became part of the routine/habit of farming, just like pets first so if I were in a position of having to choose, I would opt for more land. Baha is so slow to level up in the beginning and with limited space on the original island, I would definitely go for the full field of the Rainforest before I went up the tree to LL rune. But that's just me.....

Moving of the trophies, another one of those things I thought I was intelligent enough to do....:sleepy:well it was just easier to say I like them in the meadow.... I was so happy when I opened that rune.
I am glad the new farmers will have the choice to open a whole area to build up the stock the little sections can be a bit disheartening, I was lucky and had a really great mentor glad I got that bright spot in the beginning.

For me the game has way too many shinny things, I forget things when fallowing them. So yeah, get more land 1st as you can raise more things to throw down that bottomless pit known as the LL.
Does anyone know if you can open the new land before finishing opening the sections of the 1st part of the island?

    @100keltic

To open new land/The Rainforest, you MUST unlock the Baha island at the first time. And since the new land required 250 stars (not the Golden Banana) to unlock The Rainforest rune on the Tree of Wisdoms, it doesn't matter whether you already have only 1st, 2nd, 3rd, or 4th part of the Baha island. You will get the exact same size as full part of Baha island (188 squares) and it has the same functionality, however you need Golden Banana to unlock any tropical crops, trees and animals on the Baha temple.
