Good advice, Mir!

 

hi to all you computer savvy farmers out there. How do you take a screenshot of the summer giveaway? Thanks

 

It may differ on your computer but on mine:

On the bottom row left side, just to the right of the ctrl key is a key with the windows icon. Press and hold that while you press the ptr scr key which on my computer is on the right side of the top row of function keys. This copies the picture and on my computer actually puts it in a file called screenshots in the picture folder (yours may or may not do this depending on your operating system). It is also in the "clipboard" so you can then "ctrl-v" paste it into a picture editing program like Paint where you can save it into a .jpg of the right size. If you then wish to post it on the forum, you will need to upload it to a web photo storage and copy the URL for it. Then you can use the little Image icon above to insert it into your post.

My computer/OS does it a little differently from CaliChrome's. This is what I do:

1) Open Microsoft Word or MS Paint (I prefer Word, but either works).
2) Open and center the program you want to take a screenshot of (the screenshot will take the entire screen, so make sure all the information you want to save is visible at the same time).
3) Press CTRL-PRT SC (the "prt sc" button is at the top of my keyboard, to the right of the function keys (between "f12" and "delete").
4) Bring the program (from step 1) to the front.
5) Press CTRL-v
6) The picture should now be present in your chosen program, and you can save it wherever you like.

For those that run windows especially newer versions 7 and up there is a tool called snipping tool. This is a super simple way to take a screen shot. When you open the program you get a cursor and can just drag a square crop looking tool over the area to take a picture and then when you are done you can save the photo.

 

I have the print screen button in the right between F12 and Scroll Lock. Push the print screen button then past in drawing or paint program and save. ^_^

Don't forget to tell em how to find it as it is not right open like, I don't remember how I did it but you can drag the icon<pair of scissors> to the desktop or bottom task bar for use later and you don't have to go looking for it again.

I have more than 40 Party Tickets in inventory since I never see the good stuff each time I visit the FarmWheel so never use them. Today, there was that Cap'n but the pointer decided to move to the next slot which had 10 x Suzy Supergrow...

 

That's very sad. You at least had a glimpse. I have never seen the Magic Scarecrow in this farm from the date of its release and Captain Scarecrow isn't obliging me with his presence in the Farmwheel.
