I'm getting nervous  I have a touch pad mouse that is 'touchy'. xD :p
I got the Lily of the Valley refinement for machine parts....I'm getting between 6 - 13 pieces per field...not bad :)

Refinements do not like me! I have tried on both lily of the valley and pumpkins and no joy here. Will have to work with what I have in the barn and the harvest rewards.

    Strongly agree! ;)
Since Lily of the valley is "Flowers" crop category, we may speed up Lily of the valley production by using Flowers CR.:inlove::music::inlove:

    Cooldown time: 48 hours
Effects: 30% more EP/BEP & 10% faster growing time for "Flowers" crop category
plus 10% more EP for event crops, all effects lasting for 24 hours!

I would highly recommend to focus on the Dropper Mechanical Part refinements (550x higher chance of receiving 1 Machine part when harvesting) on Lily of the valley.:)

I'll try both lures, but looking at the animations Arielh posted, I think I might be better off with the premium lure. If I can get a better fish with the premium than with the normal (most of the time), it will be well worth it. You need twice as many Bass than Rainbow trout to get a price, but what is more is that the silver prizes are better :)

Aluntino, yes, a lot depends on "saturation" of drops, as mentioned in my General Event Strategy thread. When I harvest my overnight stables... after the event starts... IF I get around 50% or better drops of lure feathers from them... I will consider switching to a faster stable. (Depending on the heat and RL.) If I'm only going to harvest twice a day then I will stick with the longer pens. A lot also depends on what the devs do with the drop rate. If they do a good job of tweaking the drop rate like they did with the Ocean event... then no stress. And long pens will NOT be the best choice for any player that has time to login more frequently than me.

But, since this is a mini-event... I'm pretty sure they don't expect anyone to finish the first time. Except... the players that like to spend real money, SuperGrow, etc. If I do finish this first time out, great, if I don't... I'm not going to be upset.

The best way to prepare, the day before...

Put your longest pens on all the fields that will produce gummy worms and lure feathers. Place trees or 12h+ crops on the fringes. Harvest after the event starts. Adjust daily as necessary. Meaning... if you need more gummy worms... pull some pens and put trees/crops out. If you need more lure feathers... do the opposite.

That's in addition to anyone that feels the need to trying to get machine parts ahead of time. If I had the refinements for crops that give machine parts, and felt I needed more, I would use those crops on the fringes during the event. I've got some coolish weather today and tomorrow so I'll be taking advantage of it and tending to RL and staying off the puter. ;)

Hi Suzee, I don't think this is a mini-event that we can expect to return. It was described as a mini-game, since we need to do something other than just donate the requirements. But I see no hints that this will be a recurring event. Although, if it is a success I guess we will see similar events in the future :)

Ah.. you're right. I misread it or mis-remembered what I read. Well... I guess I'll try to finish it then... UGH! I wish I could try to hire someone in Germany to do the event for me...

Oh well... I'll file an official complaint and do my best...

Less than two days and level 25.

Threw out the hook and a whole school of fishy fish came with cheap offers. Only no ccs to buy them. No need trying the event.

But I do not have the items to CR. But those with them might profit:)

Do not lose hope. One day you will get all the items to Flowers CR.:)
Using refinement is a long term plan to do. Many things that we can learn from this game. All can be acquired over time to time. No need to rush to complete this event. Stocking up everything is so important to manage any event requirements.

Enjoy the event and I'm sure the drop rate will be significantly increased during this event.:music:

Hint : There is a special rune (Special Helper rune) on Tree of Wisdom. It helps to increase the chances of finding tools while harvesting by 10%.

    Thanks SillyGuy !

I got the tools refinement for pumpkin :D just now. In the process got Brain Food, Early Bloomer, Water Love & Dropper Sugar for pumpkins & Brain Food & Always Fresh for Lily of Valley in the process. Spent somewhat about 100 supergrows from my reserve.

I suggest that if one doesn't have cloud row for flowers open, they try refinement for pumpkins. Its economical. You need only 900 pumpkins. For Lily of Valley its 1100. Cheaper to buy. You can speed up refinement process using Supergrows if you have them to spare.

After reading the thread on Refinements by Arrouquelas I have made it my goal to get as many refinements as possible. But never thought I would try for tools. Still 3 more to go in roses & carnation.

I think depositing the highest amount of crops increases your frequency of getting refinements. I am still in processing. So will let you know if its true or not.

Has anyone heard definitively whether workshops will count? I just looked at the FAQ, and it's still showing they're waiting for clarification. I think to be on the safe side I'll switch my workshops that are currently done for stables, and keep checking throughout the day for any updates. Currently all my mainland fields are a combination of stables/workshops and trees, with Baha mostly crops and a few trees. Thinking maybe clear one of my mainland fields to crops, but haven't decided yet. Right now can barely type right (keep making errors:p), just got up, lol, so making strategy decisions is temporarily beyond me xD. So hot, had doors open and fans running all night, still only cooled house down to 80 F :(.

Hi spots - I, too, have been replacing workshops as they are ready to harvest. Since it is the weekend, I doubt we will get a definitive answer about whether they will drop event drops or not. Right now I have a good mixture of stables, trees and crops. I kept working with pumpkins and lily of the valley to try for the refinements so I need to restock them. I think it was Suzee who suggested that the strategy be adaptable each day depending on what you need. My strategy includes the builder! No way would I want to change the structure of my farm by hand. Hope you get some cooler nights so you can get some sleep.

Ever since this thread started I have been slowly converting workshops with stalls.
Strange... but I haven't seen any Machine Parts on any of my fields since this Event was announced :(:wuerg:o_O

I couldn't agree more!! :) I've started pulling up workshops too. I don't want to start any without an answer. Trying to find that right mixture of stalls, trees and crops. :p

In my market the price of nearly all products are rising quickly, in part because there are fewer harvests, but more likely because all of the workshop quests award XXL toolboxes. Since I still only have 154 machine parts, I'm keeping all of my workshops up. If the pumpkin enhancement works out, hooray, I'll consider pulling them. If the quests for toolboxes are successful, then I'll keep them up to gain more toolboxes. And if neither pans out, at least I can make a little ccs from the event.

I just wounder, if the right mix has to be found will it count as all in one all holdings count as one or will the right mix have to be per field?

I've just gone on research to the Italian, the Spanish and the German FAQs.

Regarding workshops: It. says they'll work, Sp. says they won't, Ger. says they won't 3 times in one single paragraph. ---> I'll go for just stables.

Regarding the ability to gift mechanical parts: It. says it won't be present, Sp. says it may but they can't be sure since no confirmation was received, Ger. says nothing at all -like It.-. ---> I'm now inclined to think they won't be giftable.

Reminder regarding toolboxes, especially the XXL ones from quests: don't forget geese breeding is around the corner, bringing with it a new workshop -which will make suitcases, I learned in the Grapevine- that will involve a new tool; so, don't overdo any usage of the toolboxes you have; reserve some, at least, for that purpose. (I have over 1500 tools from the tools yielding-chicken pet in stock --> you can find them in "consumables" in the decorations tab; I found there also an XXL toolbox -I guess it is from the bats-catching event; I'm carefully avoiding to fulfill any quests involving toolboxes, by the way).

Regarding the CR: it's pretty useless: it yields much less B-EPs than if you placed the items in parks if you have some owls -indifference point: at least 3 owls-; the EPs-yield is lousy, hence, negligible; the givers by themselves are very good, both in B-EP- and EP-yielding terms; I'll use the ones I'll be able to get in parks; the only way I'll activate the CR -if I happen to get it- will be if I get at least one of the givers twice.

    100keltic,

The "right" mix involves, as always, all non-barren lands. Each single field doesn't matter by itself.

Aluntino- if I have understood you correctly, you recommend saving toolboxes for Geese breeding. Unfortunately, the tools that are in the Decorations instead of in the barn under 'other' do not have the ability to open only a few...it is all or none. I think the tools from the cloud row also are deposited under the Deco tab. Too bad we cannot select a few at a time.

As always, thank you so much for your time and effort in researching different forums to bring us information. Without direct confirmation (and conflicting information across different forums) I will plan on not using workshops.

keltic - once we see what the drop rate is for each event drop, we will be able to determine the right mix, but yes, it is the farm as a whole and not dependent on any individual field.
