Gone Fishin'

Just did my first 3 and got a Golden Trout (got the cloud row) and 2 Bass. Now I need to win the giver items for the cloud row
I used the premium lures and it was pretty easy. Good luck all.

 

Trees do not appear to be that great for gummy worms. I had 135 trees, 58 high end stalls and the rest in crops. Turned on the auto tree harvester and got very few gummy worms In total I got 83 gummy worm and 49 feather lures....Not Good!!
I'm switching to geese and orange chickens in 2 fields, lily of the valley on the main field. On the island I'm going to try my classic parrot II stalls.

I do not seem any come out,I forget to check my barn before I harvest stables, so I
assure that workshop don't work. But my neighbor tell me she got 1 lure feather from perfumery.. Now, I'm not sure!

 

Trees haven't worked for me either as gummy worm-yielders. This doesn't look good at all. If long duration pens don't yield at least 1 lure feather each, and trees are not enough for gummy worms, then crops should be set up for the latter, in 1x1s, but, where? Room will be sucked up by pens.

It'll be tough to figure out what works.

I think that, for the first time in years, I'll have to remove many trees during the event and replace those spots with crops. But I'm not so sure they'll work either.

Forget about using many premium baits: they won't be an affordable luxury.

So, I waste 1 premium lure & got me a Bass , not even a rainbow
the worst is I still don't know If I click the correct time or not!

 

thats amazing. i got 33 worm, 29 feathers and 53 mach parts. maybe its time i start to max out LL

 

I had my first two attempts too - I was rubbish despite being virtually 100% when I practised lol!

I used Premium lures, got one "good job" and one "fantastic" but not a big fish (haven't worked out the difference yet!). Still, got lots of machine parts, growing roses with some refinements to get some quick drops (I hope!) with trees and animals everywhere else. This is going to be fun but a bit hit and miss!

Edit: Just tried with a Normal lure and I seemed to be more accurate, still just got a "good job" but it was nearer the target line!

 

Trees did not work well for me either. I was able to make 5 Normal Lures and 3 Premium Lures. I did some practice but not great results so far. I also got Bass from all 3 premium but a Rainbow and a Golden from the Normal. So...have the cloudrow and 2 XL toolboxes so far. Now have to wait for crops and pens again. I am pulling out many trees. I am using geese, rabbits and orange monkeys.

 

Out of 14 workshops, I received 10 machine parts. Out of 28 comfort fields of meadow grass only 5 gummies and 9 machine parts. Trees were the most disappointing, out of 146 only 20 gummies and 18 machine parts. Stalls seemed to be the best, out of 70 I received 44 feathers and 39 machine parts. Hooray, I can stop smashing pumpkins against the walls of the refinery! I also tested turning in a tool box quest, out of 3XL toolboxes only 3 machine parts.

 

i only had enough to make 5 normal lures
1-golden trout = cloud row
3-bass
1-minnow
easy enough to get near perfect for normal lure

 

I was able to make 4 premium. I did get the cloud row on the first try but it went down hill from there even caught a minnow I'm going to have to start pulling trees too, I guess. I think premium bait will be a luxury. Good thing is it does look like machine parts are dropping good....I'm curious to see what my field of lily of the valley gives w/ the refinement.

@feelfree2win, The LL ruin really does help out a lot. I also have a couple of Howies too

I agree, it didn't matter if I was spot on or way off, my results weren't related. I got the cloud row from a terrible try and only a "great job" when the rings lined up perfectly. So far, I have gotten the cloud row and the pond monster (ep giver) just using regular lures.
I noticed I got exactly one feather per animal stall on baha. (pandas and camels) The other fields didn't give such great returns. I have baha covered in animal pens to see if it happens again.

So I have dabbled a bit more and I much prefer the results from the normal lure - this farm has got the Sticker and 2 Wonder Stables. Chevrefeuille has got the Cloud Row and 5 Wonder Trees (Bahas I think).

On one go, I am sure the circle glowed green but I got a Minnow!

Roses seemed to give me good drops of Gummy (?) Worms. Might have to re-think my strategy but I really do hate pulling out all my pens!

 

I am absolutely useless at fishing

 

I First did my Island Full of Trees - got 44 Gummy Worms and 48 Machine Parts, The did Glade full of High End Stables/Trees Got 42 Lure Feathers, 2 Gummy Worms and 39 Machine Parts, Green Meadow full of Carnations got 38 Gummy Worms and 38 Machine Parts Then Main Field got 42 Gummy Worms and 42 Machine Parts which was full of Carnations too.

• 170 Machine Parts
• 42 Lure Feathers
• 124 Gummy Worms

I also used 4 Howie Donuts too....I Think it did help lots with the Drops so i will keep using them bit so pain to move them around the farm before reaping my fields. I have not yet Made any Lures Yet. I will do some normal lures to start with. I will use Premium Lures bit later on in the game. Just to see how well we get drops on Gummy Worms and Lures and Machine Parts.

By the Look of Things it is the Lures that will be harder to Obtain during this Event as we can only get these From Stables. As we cannot use SuperGrow or Manure on Stables but can on Comfort Fields and Refinements. That Helps Boost Drop of G ummy Worms. So It looks like I am going to be using Mostly Stables in At Least Three of The Fields Just One Field of Refined Crops. Have out All XXL Trees around my Stables. Will see hows this Goes

 

Pulled out Baha trees and put out 17 classic II parrots...no lure feathers at all.

 

Got 27 feathers until now (6 from a field of geese), the rest from longer running stables I planted yesterday. Got a field of trees and about 1/3 Baha - field trees out, plus some crops there which got me to 51 worms, so guess I'll be putting out some more stables, maybe also on Baha as the shortage seem to the feathers. Machine parts drop quite nice, even without having any refineries. Though, my overall number is not that great, so I guess I'll be practising a bit for the normal speed

 

I put out a mixture on the island:
10 Classic II parrots = 2 feathers
10 Classic II elephants = 3 feathers
8 Classic II sloths = 1 feather
And then 26 Orange chicken stalls = 3 feathers
Waiting on my geese....hope they are better.
