So, to sum it up:

Try to guess what to plant or put out to get drops.
Hope for enough random drops.
Use lots of random drops to create a few lures.
Try to correctly get a green circle which appears to not make a difference. More random.
Get random fish.
Hope to get enough random fish to get a box.
Get random prize from box.

Random. Not impressed.

 

im not liking this event so many pens n so few feathers got way more worms than feathers thumbs down on this event make that both thumbs n some borrowed ones too

 

I just harvested 48 (!!) RED chicken pens...... ZERO lure feathers. Boo.

 

Used my first PREMIUM lure. Got the green ring. Result? Minnow.


Third cast, regular lure, green ring, golden trout and cloud row! Now I know it is just total luck.

 

It looked like so much fun and in principal if you have hand/eye co-ordination you should excel and the event should be great. However, the drop rate on animals is abysmal as is the drop rate on trees. The casting appears to be random - I have no hand/eye co-ordination and yet got the cloud row, haven't hit the green circle once. The game is not fun, it's frustrating even to seasoned players who have strategised about the best layout for their farms in order to maximise drops. A real shame.

 

Well I was very happy with my first harvest after the start of the event, woohoo Machine parts galore.... however, the lure feathers... oh my goodness. I won't be able to compete in this event if drops of feathers remain like that.... i got 24 feathers and over a hundred machine parts. I guess I have to put away some trees and put in some more stables. We will see what tomorrow brings. Additionally, would just like to say that I love.....love...... the beautiful background that's been added to the back drop of the game. It is lovely!

 

I like that you are trying something different.
After reading the above, I was concerned by the algorithm used. I used ten lures, (bought with BB), and won 5 top fish and 5 of the others. Its definitely not a random sample, but I got, in addition to the cloud row, 2 giver items, CC and EP... This is a pretty high success rate.

the second time, I got 6 bass, 1 golden trout, 2 rainbow trout and the top fish.
To check the rates, would require a much larger sample.

Even though I look to be doing well, I have to agree that the random prizes are a concern -- at least when it comes to filling the cloud row. I would like to see those given after a certain amount of effort, then have the rest be random. However, the event does seem to be following the FAQs.

 

I love games and I thought I would love this as well. However, I have 75 worms and 12 lure feathers. There is something wrong with the drop rates. Also, I fished 4 times and won nothing. I normally am real good at this. Because I love the meter game at Renzo's Fair. So, I'm not sure what is going on. Something is off. I will, hopefully, make 2-3 more tomorrow. If the drops don't change and my "aim" isn't better - I'm done with this. It sounded good. But I do NOT like it at all. Sorry

 

Great event!! This type of event allows us to continue selling/reproducing animals, crops etc.. along with doing quest without the time and expense of goods donated and the replenishment of said products/animals crops. As far as the event itself, another BIG, BIG hit!! Kudos to Farmerama!!

 

I have no idea how to play the game (I'm not good at them). So I made my first lure and just clicked the button. I won the cloud row. Now, I'm not complaining. But I really should not have won. I wasn't even close. Also, I have 100 worms and only 7 feather lures. I want to try again (maybe I'll get lucky) and fill my cloud row but the drops are insanely low for feather lures. I got lucky once but I don't think I'm going to make it with these drop rates. Yes, I now have 2 whole fields full of just animal pens but the drop rates are not any better.

 

I love this game. Ok, yes, the lure feather drop rate seems a bit low - but drops are always low at the beginning. Love the high machine part rate. At first I thought I was trying to hit the smaller circle, and I kept getting minnows. Then I screwed up, hit the bigger circle, and got the cloud row ! Aha! Went and actually read the how-to at the start, and that's what I should have been doing. Lesson - read, not skim! I don't think it's random. I can predict which result I'm going to have and on five different farms, I've been correct 11 times out of 11 since I started figuring it out.

You can't please everyone with every event. I happen to love mystery type events, and I don't really care what I get. I'm not putting much effort into this event, still growing my animals, crops and trees as I was, and I still get a game to play - I'm a happy farmer! The event runs for several days, we're not supposed to be able to complete it in one day. Big thumbs up for this event, and for BP in general for, by and large, listening to us and giving us much of what we've been asking for.

 

I like that this does not require an event crop. It will give us a chance to catch up on some needed crops. Also great prizes -- hope I get the trees/stables that I was unable to trade for during Gift and Trade.

HELP, Please??!! I just caught my first fish - a Golden Trout! Can anyone tell me how to find out what I won????
I clicked on the box, but that only reset it...and I cannot find anywhere else to look....


Edit: I found it! The cloud row. It showed up with the fireworks and I must have just overlooked it. Once the popup is gone, so seems to be the information, too....so keep eyes open, Peeps!!

 

seriously bp its not april fools 18 pens n only 5 feathers ? should get 1 feather for every pen!!!! i think ya'll get great joy in irratating your players

 

I just got with normal lure 4GB.

Obviously, it is possible so I continue with normal baits

 

The feather drops are so low as to be a joke and yes I'm using fields full of stables high low and medium. Field of trees including 10 Super Jumbo tree XXL's and XL's and wonder trees gave very little. The fishing is a joke it doesn't matter how good my cast is the results are poor. No skill needed just close your eyes and cast seems to be the way. I'm so disappointed in this game.

Edited because on reflection, I realise I panicked a bit at the beginning and was sure I wouldn't do well. Silly me! I tried to do it all on the first day. Now I plant my normal farm crops and stables and whatever I get is a bonus. I close my eyes when casting and get better results. it's another give away event. Thank you BP.

 

Something very very odd going on.... i took out trees and added stables in baha and also my back field (i did leave out my favorite trees I simply refuse to put away) and I got the same exact amount ...... of the lure feathers lol. Coincidence my dear friends... I will call this event "As the Plot thickens......the feathers don't change". I haven't gone fishing yet, I thought I'd wait until I was able to fish for a bit. Fishing is meant to be relaxed and carefree.

Why has the feather lures not been set correctly and what are we supposed to do with all these machine parts when the event is over?

The lining up of rings in the fishing pond is random with winning whether we hit the green or not so why did you advertise the event as needed to done this way?

Hopefully someone from BP will come back at the end of the event with an explanation of what went wrong.

 

I agree with what has already been said, it looks like a fun game with lots of great prizes, the sticker not being an isolated prize but ... the game does not work as it should and that makes it disappointing. I have got the rings glowing green several times and have received the smallest fish. I have more luck when I just randomly click.

I have got the Cloud Row for both farms, got a few mystery stables, some wonder trees, some BEP and a couple of wreaths but I'm doubtful if I will ever get the cloud items - or if I will ever get another "big" fish!

Top marks for creativity but the game needed to do what it said on the tin.
