Very disappointing game. Drop rate of feathers especially, is very low.
Just harvested 1 horse staple orange, 2 goat pens orange 2 rabbit pens orange and 1 turkey orange and got 1 feather.
Fishing skill does not match result.
To be clear, I do not like this format.

 

I wanna fish a different pond, all that's in mine is minnows (and if I'm really lucky, a bass).

 

Pros:
Great idea, great format, great rewards
Cons:
Everything else, this game is a mess. The exact field that gives drops yesterday gives nothing today.
When I use a lure I get better results by closing my eyes and clicking randomly, if I try to follow the instructions and be exact I'll get a minnow!
This is the first event I've seen that needs to be closed down, rewritten and introduced again in the future.

 

Definitely it makes no difference when you cast, rings aligned or not...it is random I had use Normal Lure and got Bass and I had use Premium Lure I got still got Bass....not happy
my feedback on this Event is definitely - (minus), I would not like to see another Event like it, unless the "random" bit is correct with some kind of rule, strategy or anything that does not leave "luck"/"randomness" to be involved. Having said this I will continue with the Event because, unfortunately, I had won the Row...so I am "randomly" trying to fill it with the required items...fat chance, at this rate!

 

I like the fact that you are trying new ideas. I think it is very creative. However, I don't believe this was tested properly because the chance of winning is pure luck. Also, the drop rates are so unreasonably low, it doesn't make sense. I rate this event (on a scale of 1 to 10, and 10 being the highest) A 1 (one). Fishing should be fun. This is pure frustration.

 

I like this event as a lower level player purely for the fact there are no event crops. On the downside my problem is that I do not have enough stables/buffs to get feather drops, but all in all a very good idea.

 

I Love this mini event!!!! First of all, the artwork is phenomenal!!!!! The new background is gorgeous....and the fish are very realistic & fun! So what if it's totally random....so is RL fishing....which also takes a great deal of patience. This is a 6 day event....why is everyone complaining? The rewards are very good(except for the turbo mulch). I also like that we can win the cloud row items multiple times!!!! I just won(or hooked) another pond monster & love watching him in my park! I also believe these items will be highly sought after during the next G & T!!!
I am enjoying trying out different strategies to get all the goods to make the lures. On the player questionaire(eons ago)...I was one that voted for a fishing game. I am so so Happy it was brought to the game!

I harvested 6 stables in Baharama and got 0 plume. This included orange Monkeys and orange Panda and Camel. Now I harvested 2 more and still no feather. Then on the glade I removed my field and put pen only. Harvested 5 stables and got again 0 plumes.
This quest is more frustrating than fun. If BP is serious about the feasibility of this quest, it should at least think about the percentage of the drop. I do get many machine parts and worms. So far in 2 days, I only have been able to make 4 baits. I guess, I'll just continue to produce my animals, and I'll use them in other quest, and forget about this one.

 

Exactly this. No matter how close I come with the rings, it does not seem to matter at all. From all tries I did until now I got one big fishiy (the cloud row), the rest only was good for a couple of stables and ep. Looks at the moment like another empty cloud row. The description of the game was promising thogh, if it only worked a little more like we thought it did

 

Hi, I am probably making myself the most unpopular farmer in the whole forum here, but I this event. I can still harvest normal crops and go about my business.
On the other side getting these feathers is a pain, but come on guys, the prizes are not sooo bad , I had some decent ones, however I do agree with my fellow farmers that the lining up of the ring business is not working...and it needs reviewing because I lined up a few and got minnos, but then hey it does say if you line up you have a 'better' chance of getting what you want

 

At The Moment I am very disappointed what we are not getting a Green Circle. When we do hit the Rings in Right place we do not get a Golden Trout or Rainbow trout. I been getting lots of Minnows Even from using Premium Lures. Which is very Disappointing Indeed.

I have been Trying very hard to Get All The lures Feathers and Gummy worms. I cannot seem to get the cloud row items as i am getting way too many Minnows even from Premium Lures which is very Disappointing Why is it do hard to get Cloud Row Givers !!!

 

I have mixed feelings about this event

In short: I really like the idea, not thrilled about the execution, but love the prizes!

A bit longer :

I really like the idea. It is fun to see an event that is not just grow and donate! I also really like that the event only requires drop items. While collecting the drops I raise geese for the upcoming breeding event, and raise parrots and chickens for sale. The event requires strategy and planning, but not resources from your farm, this I really like.

This is also an event you can participate in with a varying degree of effort, which is nice. Almost without doing anything you can collect the drops, mill as many lures as you can and collect some prizes. Or you can put more effort into getting the mix of drops correctly. You can also use super grow to collect extra gummy worms, thus leaving more time for stables and get more lure feathers.


It is a BIG plus that the milling time for the lures is so short. There is enough waiting around for the drops, it would just be frustrating to wait for the lures to mill too. Also glad we can use baha mill!

I think there is a bit too much random in this event, there is very little that we can control. Putting the cloud row in the first golden box is a good start. I think it would be good to do something similar with the items. Maybe let the Best Friends item be in the 5th bronze box, put the Pond Monster in the 5th silver box and the Fishin Fun in the 5th golden box. That would be a goal to work towards and might prevent players from giving up too early. The items could still be among the random prizes so that you could win it before the 5th box, and also win several (which I like). Fortunately the chances of getting the items seem to be ok, but I am sure some will be unlucky and not obtain all the items despite putting in a bit of an effort, and that I think is too bad.

I actually think that it is good that there is a random factor to the fish you get. Farmerama is not a game that requires these sort of skills, and I would find it unfair if some didn't get any great prizes because they didn't master the fishing game. However the results could be a bit more correlated to the performance: If you manage to align the circles perfectly (or as good as) I think the minnow should be excluded.

Premium lures: I tried a few, but they didn't seem to give me any better results than normal I would like to know if you really have a better chance at getting a good fish, or if the circle is just slower making it easier to hit the target? If it is the latter, they really are not worth the double cost, hitting the target doesn't seem to improve chances a lot.



As I had planned I started the event with cotton on comfort fields with instant finish super grow. That gave me 1 gummy worm per comfort field and I spent around 500 super grow. Since then I have just had stables out to collect lure feathers. But now my gummy worms are running out, so I'll do a day with crops on Friday.

I have caught around 90 fish, 13 of them golden trouts and 17 rainbow. I think I have been very lucky with the prizes, have won 250k BEP 5 times , 2 fishin fun items, 2 best friends items, 10 wonder stables and 5 wonder trees. I am already very satisfied with the winnings, the only thing I really must have is the last item for the cloud row, anything else I win during the next 4 days (!) is just a bonus


I am enjoying the event, but it is much due to the excellent prizes I have received. I am sure I would have found it much more frustrating if the prizes hadn't been that good.

 

One thought-- its nice that the cloud row is gauranteed, but without the givers its just a pain. If you do this again, make the cloud row automatic after getting all the givers, rather than in advance.

 

I don't agree with that. It is possible to get the items later, but not the cloud row. That would mean that some who wants the cloud row might not get it. The items on the other hand can probably be obtained from G&T at some point. Since many are getting extra items they won't be as rare/expensive as many other cloud row items.

Anyway, grayed out cloud rows won't be such a problem if we can soon rearrange the cloud rows as promised.

 

Trees do not give rewards. On main field harvested 11 XXl trees, got 3 machine part.
On Meadow harvested 6 XXL trees got 2 machine parts and 1 gummy
On Glade harvested 17 XXL trees including 2 jumbo trees and got 3 machine parts
On Baharama harvested 11 XXL trees and got 2 machine parts and 1 gummy
So 45 XXl trees give us 10 machine parts and 2 gummies. I will keep the trees, because I do not expect to get much from that quest anyway, but for those interested, it may be better to replace the trees by the fields, unless you need machine parts.

 

Does anyone know what crops give the most drop items or is it random?

 

I would prefer it if these types of events did not require us to use the mill to produce the necessary items. Although it doesn't take a long time to produce the lures sometimes I have to cancel the other mill products so that I can produce the lures. Why couldn't worms be dropped and used as bait?

I also have noticed the ring alignment problem in determining the type of fish you get. I have received bigger fish with the rings farther away from each other in some cases when the big fish should be when the rings are joined.

You just can't make everyone happy.

 

I think the problems people are complaining about could have been avoided if BP had told us they were likely to happen. If we had known how randomly fish were going to be rewarded, we would have been prepared that this was a game of luck more than skill.

This game was compared to the Renzo game, which is definitely a game of skill.

Just tell us how it will really be and then we can choose how to play or not.

 

Going Going "Gone" Fishin
Went to bed last night and had fish that I caught. Got up this morning all Gone! Game reset to zero! What's up with that?
