Gone Fishin' prizes

So today I tried premium lures and I caught 3 bass, 1 minnow and 1 rainbow trout, so I think I'll stick to normals. The rainbow completed my collection to give me 60000cc (I would eat my own arm off to finish the cloud row!)

 

Me, too, TC! Although I have gotten so many wonderful gifts - the 250,000 CC was awful nice and and the 250,000 BEP leveled me up two levels at once on Baha - the next golden trout gave me 4 GBs - so in two premium lures I snagged 14 GBs so I'm not complaining at all...but where oh where could that 2x2 giver item be?

 

There have been a lot of complaints re randomness, not enough drops and the type of fish you catch but on the whole I am happy with the gifts I got from Gone Fishing. I don't get many gummy worms (I know I could change all fields to crops to increase worm drops but I don't want to remove animal pens/stables.
I have more than one farm and have received:
Cloud Row + EP givers for it; golden bananas, blackthorn tree, sakura blossom, etc.
I was disappointed that my 2 baha trees resulted in 2 upgraded cocoa trees == really wanted the tamarind or the new one.
I would like this game to be added to Renzo Fair when it is done. Maybe the gifts wouldn't be as good or maybe they would juat let you win tickets like the other games and then trade them in.

 

the last 2 days I had a luck change, most of my catches were minnows and bass, with both kinds of lure, though I managed to get 4 golden trout that gave me 3 time 250,000 EP which made me close to level up, just another half million EP, and 1 more monster pond (now Extra 2) and 2 rainbow trout which sadly gave me the super duper gift, yes 4 turbo mulch, but no complains, it is still fun, and the wonder trees for the mainland were disappointing, the baha trees still in store, may be I will plant them after the event is done.

Today's menu selection at my home is golden trout and bass platters, with a side of rainbow trout! Several golden bananas, stables and two givers! If you have been catching mostly minnows, just keep trying. I ate a lot of minnowstrone soup before the fish platters arrived!

 

Here's what I've discovered - it really doesn't matter when you click. I missed by a mile and gold a golden trout. I was dead on and got a minnow. pfft.

I finally got the cloud row completed. Nearly fell out of my chair when that golden trout gave me the "fishin' fun" giver item.

I will say that in my "quest" to get that 2x2 giver item for the cloud row, I at least got some really nice consolation prizes. Total of 8 CAC, I'm clear up to level 99 on Bahamarama and need only 12000 BEP to level up to 100, so should get that easily today. I have Lyra stables
'plunked' right now. So far none of the stables have given me anything rare, but still nice to have more stables on some of the animals where I only had one. The trees have yielded an extra blackthorn plum and two more loquat. So all in all...I am happy with my take from this 'game'.

I now have 3 pond monsters and one best friends; I don't think there's any fishin' fun in my pond . I have had lots of BEP though and of course my beautiful rainbow trout turned into mulch .

 

Congrats sewinglady on completing that cloud and I hope you get your best friends Ariel (if you don't get it and they're giftable during the next gift and trade I have a spare you can have).

 

At this point I'm milling a lure or two as I get enough pieces...so I just picked up another 2x2 giver which means I have spares of all of them and if they are giftable during the next G&T - we can get cloud rows completed for those who are missing a giver item. I don't understand why those golden trout are so stingy with the 2x2s...or at least they were to me. then after I get one, they decide I should have a spare? Well I'm going to say thank you and collect the EP from it.

Was hoping for a Pink Pen but am not overly disappointed with the results since I did not have the Perfumery.

Like sewinglady and others have reported, the premium lure I won also caught a minnow.
I only made 5 premium lures; realized there was no apparent advantage and switched to regular lures.

Finally got 'Best Friends' today to complete the cloud row! My best returns so far:

FINALLY got the Best Friends giver, finished cloud row here on spots with only 6 regular lures left. bearbabe has just the Pond Monster, out of lures, tho might be able to make 2 or 3 more after last harvest of evening, hoping anyway. Will be content with leaving the cloud row empty for now, maybe pick up other 2 at future G&T. Caught a lot of minnows, got some CAC (always appreciated), some wreaths, some EP and BEP, some PF and mulch, trees, stables, can't remember what else. No CCs that I remember, but that's ok. Back to gooses and chickens once harvest these last fields in an hour or so, getting ready for breeding. Debating whether to put out those lovely mystery cargo stables from the calendar, trying to save them but it's oh so tempting! Can someone tell me what the final gift from the calendar was? I couldn't open it since I was still on vacation the 1st 2 days and missed the coconuts .

Hang in there pnp, will keep fins crossed for that last elusive Best Friends.

My last try before the event ends gave me another set of the 3 deco items with some BEP and CC, so now I have an extra set plus one pond monster, hoping the next G&T I can gift them, it was really quite an event, I hope that every one got something nice from it.

 

just got 4 golden bananas , more stables, seedlings, another best friends, CAC and some cc. The only thing I haven't managed to catch is BEP , but I have multiples of the cloud row giver items. Stable results have been rubbish as usual.
