Feedback Summer Giveaway

At Christmas, BP offered an Advent Calendar. It was the first of the kind I had participated in. Older players were upset then with the necessity of paying BBs to open missed days. Apparently this was a change from the previous calendars where missed days could be opened without penalty. Complaints were many.

Now, 6 months later, we are given a new calendar with NO option to open missed days with BBs. Hmm. Does complaining make BP decide to make things even harder?

I really enjoyed this even though I checked several times a day to make sure I had opened every box. I especially like the way all the prizes are shown for the duration, it really made me appreciate what a lovely selection of gifts I had won. Thank you.

In future please let players open boxes they have missed, preferable without having to pay for them.

 

I missed one (1) coconut. I then missed that weeks prize and of course the grand prize. Either its a gift or it's not. I play everyday since I joined and I did play the day of the give away. I actually thought I opened the coconut. Don't know how I missed it. But now I'm sour over the whole thing. I feel like I'm being punished by you. Why are we disqualified from the grand prize? This makes NO SENSE!!

 

This was a nice event but I feel everyone should be able to at least purchase the missed coconuts. When people become frustrated and say they are loosing interest in the game (especially long time players) this should be a RED FLAG WARNING to BP. I know if it was my business I would call a meeting and try to find a solution or a happy medium. I know you can't please everyone but I see their point. I am thankful for all the gifts and I love the cloud row. But I like to spread the joy!! (FYI - Happy customers makes a happy BP)

 

I really liked the give away, but I really wish there had been an opportunity to makeup. I missed 1 day because I went to collect the coconut after doing all my farming and the game crashed and I was never able to log back in for that coconut. I hate that missing the one coconut made me miss 1 week prize and the final prize of the event. I really wish there had been a little latitude given on this. I even wouldn't have minded paying to open the next day.

 

I really appreciate all the gifts, it has been great! The bonus boxes were well placed: 100% EP bonus could be used with the plume pools, +1 harvest bonus could be used at the end of MM, PF for BBD. This made me appreciate the bonuses even more.

It makes me sad though to see the frustration of those that for various reasons have a couple of closed coconuts. I think it would be fair if they got the cloud row too. Or one should be able to open coconuts later with BBs. Or the daily gift could be credited automatically when you log in, so to rule out glitches and not letting players forget to get the coconut even though they are logged in. As I understand it it should be a bonus for those who play every day, so I think it would make sense to make sure those who log in every day get the gifts.

 

BP Thank-You for your generosity, the gifts were so nice! The surprise to open them was really the best (especially cause the prizes were good ones) this event!!!

 

I really liked all the prizes from the coconuts. My only regret is that I didn't start my farm 5 days earlier. I missed out on the first 4 coconuts, the first bonus prize and the Bonus cloud row at the end.

 

You are far from the only one thinking this way. We do have to keep in mind that this is free, but hearing "no this cannot happen" (basically that it must be just player error and therefore not farmerama's responsibility) is, well, not the most customer friendly message, even if true. I am happy that they did not include a buy option, even though I would have used it to be able to earn the big prizes, because there is too much already that favors those who want to put down money. (and I am one who has done this) A truly free event is nice! However, there should be some mechanism that would allow people to still collect the big prize if they miss just one or even 2 packages and, as logs will show, have been checking in every day. After all, getting people to log in is part of the goal, right? That is, make the penalty to miss the day, perhaps even the week, but still allow people to get the big prize if they have logged in every day.

 

nice to get free stuff, but as I knew I was going to be away a large part of the month, with no chance of logging in every day I didn't bother much with the prizes, collecting maybe half of them. If I could have been able to buy a couple of missed days I would have made more of an effort.
It seems unfair that those who missed 1-2 days could not get the final prize, the ability to purchase a small number of missed days would have made many people happy.
Another BP failure, should I really expect anything different?

 

I really appreciated the summer gifts. However I also missed 1 day and I was sure I had opened that day. So I was very,very sad not to get all the gifts.
I understand that some people just waited til the end of the winter giveaway, then paid 60 BB to open everything, so BP decided not to let us open any missed gifts.
PLEASE BP there must be somewhere in between so those who missed very few gifts, for whatever reason, can catch up. Like a max number that can be opened late or increasing cost of late opening.

 

I for one, also forgot to open 1 coconut distracted during the fishing event, even though logged on Not having a good "roll" at the moment with events!!
