I agree, because I'm curious. We could have a contest for the most minnows caught.
So far I've had: 16 golden trout, 23 rainbow trout, 45 bass, and 65 minnows. That's 149 tries, and I'm still missing one item to complete my cloud row. I really don't like events where effort doesn't necessarily affect the outcome.
But, on a more positive note, there's still nearly a full day left to keep trying, so good luck everyone.

 

You'll be able to get great swaps for those in the G and T event. You will easily be able to swap them for any items you need for your cloud row.

 

I am glad that my luck changed on Friday. I went from having 220 more gummies than feathers to fairly equal and this morning I have almost 100 extra feathers.

Interesting that for me, all the cloud row and givers came from goldens. I am still missing the pond giver. I have gotten lots of coin and EP with a few stable, trees and only 1 set of golden bananas.

I noticed other days that there is a sweet spot for where you place the moving circle for the best cast. It is different each time you log in or refresh the game. Yesterday, casts ran well and I seemed to get nice casts, better than other days. I also noticed that today, I got 11 minnows from 17 casts and several were with the circles matched and I can't find the sweet spot.

 

Everybody gets the cloud row and so did I.

But I have a real serious problem to solve.

I don't have the stalk

I only caught 3 golden trout, and got bep and CC. No cloud row, no giver items.

soooo.... 66 lures or there about.... that's the maximum i managed to get/do/make.
Not a very well balanced event.

 

Today look lucky, I got Best fan from Bass Box
So, I only need pond monster,If I could not get it at the end.
I'm sure I could trade one on next G&T,only if:
BP let us trade it.

Unfortunately, I don't have either of the other two items.

 

The fish must have heard my complaints. For the first time, the golden trout gave me something other than EP - 4 GB. I'll take it. Would have liked to have gotten a cloud row item, but the GBs were nice.

 

todays fishing trip was worst so far for prizes, i did catch 1 golden trout and 2 rainbow but only some cac and 3 orion stables. with tomorrow morning only left i will need some luck. should be able to get around 12 normal lures ready.

 

The fishing event has been a very different type of cc making exercise. I did try the fishing and came out just as was explained here. This type of strategy thread does help many. The experiences shared by experienced and new farmers is indeed beneficial to all.

Although many types of animal pens have been sold and given, I have noticed the overall lack of preparedness in meeting demands placed by animals. There was considerable ccs to be made throughout the feed market. Surely the event prompted the activity.

Although farming is often crop production based, there is much more to real life farming and to this game than solely crops or solely animals.

Congratulations to everyone who met their goals and especially to those who did not but tried their best.

As the event draws to a close: goodbye fishy fishy ..... for now anyway!

 

I finally got a couple of Golden Trout that provided 2 of the 3 deco items. Still need the Fishin Fun. May be looking at the first G&T where they can be traded.

 

Did I miss something or am I just the village idiot? I was going to ask about this earlier today but figured I was just tired and confused. The FAQ states the event runs until July 6th (I have checked this several times today) but the timer says it ends on the 5th Which is it??? Although my stables seem to be pretty much out of lure feathers and minnows seem to be all I have left in my fishing spot so I don't know how much more I am going to torture myself by trying to get those silly worms and feathers. Maybe if I ignore them they will come my way Also I have been having to "refresh" or "reload" my page and all I can picture is a really big hammer but its my daughters computer so I better not do anything hasty

 

I hadn't noticed that the FAQ says the 6th, but the OA says the 5th and since that fits with the event timer I am sure that is the right one.

 

Luckily I only have 1 Best Friend. I did however catch 4, yes, 4 Pond Monsters. And am still missing the 3rd giver, Fishing Fun. No wonder I'm not having as much fun as I should be!

 

Several people have reported better results with premium lures, but I was skeptical since so many more posted their mixed or poor results when trying both kinds. Yesterday I won a premium lure, hit the target, got a golden trout, and thought that was way too easy - must be a fluke. But just in case I made two premium lures to test this, and hit both targets despite my bad reflexes, and got two more golden trout!! I don't think this is a fluke anymore and will be making premium lures for the rest of the event, even though that will mean instead of ten lures a day I'll only create four premium. My drops are still more feathers than gummies, so I will be taking some more stables down and replace with long term crops. Best advice for this event was take down trees, they had the worst drops for me. I have the cloud row and the givers, but I think the best prize by far is 250,000 BEP which I have won three times. I was able to unlock avocados, papayas and sloths with all the leveling up. Big thanks to my neighbors for sending so many feathers and worms!

 

well i don't know as I've had much better results hitting the gray circle on the outer ring or inner ring of the green .... for gaining Golden trouts lol ..... yet i've hit pure green ring and has resulted in many many minnows .... so i have no idea, I'm still going with the hit and miss theory lol .... but i'm ever so happy to have completed my cloud row and have a fair few extras of the ep givers
