Gone Fishin'

Had two normal lures left, and one of those got me the final Ep-giver. Happy as a pig in ....
Now I just hope everyone has had that much luck. If not I got three Best Friends so 2 will be looking for a new home at next B&T

 

I did get a Pond Monster but the Fishin' Fun eluded me.

 

Got a "bunch of stuff", some useful (GB,etc), some not. Did NOT get even one CR giver, in spite of all the golden trout I caught. Those golden boys prefered donating EP and turbo mulch to my cause. On the positive side, the empty CR is at the end of the line - at least it is for now.

 

was able to make 17 normal lures for last try this morning. got 2 golden trout for another 250k bep and some cc.
grey cloud row for me, no pond monster.

 

I got the cloud row and three deco items from my first four boxes.
As well as a full cloud row, I got an extra Pond Monster, two extra Fishin' Fun and FIVE extra Best Friends!
I don't think trying to keep five best friends is at all a good idea. They'll probably start fighting over me.
So...I'm really hoping we can swap them at the next Gift & Trade. It'll give me a chance to swap for some of the stuff I didn't get to win, since I was so busy dredging up deco items.

 

I guess I am just a minnow fisherman. They just kept following me around. I do have a couple of extra Best Friends but no Fishing Fun so also have a grayed out row. Would be more than thrilled to trade with someone. RL was too hetic to keep up with wins but am so excited to report a Pink Chicken and a Perfumery of which I had neither. Congrats to all who filled their rows and thanks BP for all the nice prizes these last few weeks. I also hope the fishing becomes part of the game somehow. Happy farming to all.

I did finally get the other 2 givers the last 2 hours of event, so my cloud row is not gray, it has been activated. I didn't even try to keep track of how many lures made or used, or what i won for them, I did get alot of bep though. a few stables, a few trees, so far none that i didn't already have.

 

I only got one Cloud Row item on each farm but got lots of other good prizes (apart from one lot of Mulch!). I managed about 10 lures a day and did get a fair number of Golden Trout but those EP givers were just too elusive. Never mind, I am sure there will be a few available at the next (or one after next) G&T. If not, just have to close my eyes as I go over the greyed out cloud!

Well done to all those who got all three Cloud Row items, I'm not really jelly ... much!

 

I got one cloud row and the first part of the cloud row. The other prizes were repeats mostly XP. Disappointed for the time spent.

Its true. Believe me. I found it out after lot of brain ransacking & research. See our bear agrees it too.

 

I have 2 best friends and 3 Fishing fun, so they are there to be won. I completed my cloud row too.

 

Regarding the fishing cloud row, I am curious why so many are choosing to put all the givers to fill this cloud row. The cloud row is 48 hours for 77 x Level EP and 66 X Level BEP. The givers are 12 hour: Best Friends 525, Pond Monster 1050 and Fishing Fun 2150 with EP dependent on where you place them. So as soon as I get to shipwreck island to place my givers, I will get slightly more, but more importantly all BEP. I'm at Baha Level 129 and would have to level up to 225 to get as much BEP. Am I missing something, or maybe it is the bother of having a 12 hour harvest versus 48 hour? Or is it the two random craft ingredients? I have a large stockpile, so I don't find more floral wire an incentive!

 

Maybe just Farmerama OCD - when you get to a certain level, if you work hard you want to achieve the goals...

 

@Aetheria14 You are totally right. I'd completely forgotten that this was suggested by Aluntino, until I'd already activated my cloud row. I got 1 sugar and 1 mandrake. Just as soon as the timer runs out, I'll be taking those bep givers straight to Shipwreck Bay.

 

For me personally it was never about completing the CR. Getting the 3 items became a FOCD obsession in the end, sad but true. I will never use that CR, the reward is pretty much useless, but it was the hunt for the third item that turned my life into a fishing-frenzy the last couple of days. I'm happy I was able to get all 3, and the two extra Best Friends I got will find new homes at next G&T

 

I have filled the Cloud Row but if I had room on my Shipwreck Bay I would move the items there in a flash. With five owls, five crow and a dragon the rewards would have been much better. I have several grey cloud rows which I will not fill as not worth it. I just click over them as I do the rows that are not ready to harvest yet.

Last week I was a hot SCHWEATY mess!

As usual I got a late start because of living on the wrong side of the planet. Because of the heat I started out with horses so I could harvest them twice a day. Then I realized that there was probably a better critter and swapped them out for beavers w/ water, CRs and maybe some Crafted buff. Still less than 12h. We ARE going to breed beaver someday, right? I decided to leave them out for 4.5 days. Then I switched to crops and SG'd and manured them. Funny thing about the beaver... cost of feed was about 3 times that of a critter during the event. Players selling feed were the CC winners this time.

My results...
Main farm:
GOLDEN TROUT -- 13
RAINBOW TROUT -- 12
BASS -- 24
MINNOW -- 95
worms -- 1
feathers -- 5
machine parts -- 1067 - 930= +137 more than I started with
Only two givers in the bunch. Still need pond monster, I think... the one in the middle is missing.

Similar for the other two farms. EXCEPT they got all three givers for the CR. None of the farms have extra givers.

Not at all impressed with the rewards I got from this event. Too much work for so little.

Getting the drops was easy. Drops are "random" in the sense that some players expect to get the same number of drops for the same crop over and over. But we don't because as mentioned they are "weighted". (Someone showing off their college edumacation with that "stratified" stuff. but... yeah! what he said! lol ) I found it interesting that they used the same drop rate algorithm for all three drops. But it makes sense since we needed equal amounts of worms and feathers but a lot more machine parts. For me... the most fun part of the events is the math and figuring out the drop rate. The rest is tedious and boring. A five year old could do the clicking.

I hated the clicking at the end aka fishing. If I want fish I'll go to the grocer and buy a can like normal people.
