Please post your constructive comments, positive and negative, regarding the Air Show event in this Feedback thread.

Please be sure to bring arguments for supporting your statements, simple comments saying you like it or hate it will not help the Team understand what goes great, and what needs to be looked into, when planning future events.

First, thank you for (again) posting the FAQs a couple days in advance. I realize release is largely out of English language mods' control, but it is appreciated.

ALSO, thank you very much for including the overall needs for the quest right there in the FAQs. Its, of course, usually posted by someone in the first strategy thread for each event, but having the basic totals in the FAQs is more convenient. Thank you.

Love that Baby Boom was early on my kids farm I got the event done in 2h

 

Thank you for giving us an extra 18 hours of BBD. I finished the event with plenty of time to spare. I'm sure like everyone else I'd been harvesting geese for a week or two now so was ready to breed them.
I really enjoyed this event.

 

Nice and easy, great skips, the prizes were okay but nothing to scream about.

 

I was able to take advantage of the surprise BBD and found the event to be easy and fun. I liked that we got luggage tags and toolboxes both. I also like that with the additional BBD you still kept the traditional one intact so that no one will miss out on the event. All in all a thumbs up and a nice way to introduce the new breeding animal.

 

I love breeding events and Baby Boom events so this hit all the buttons for me. It seemed easy, in hindsight, but you never know how the skips are going to go so there is always that element of surprise. I also love surprises so when I saw that a "surprise" Baby Boom had started, I was over the moon! Had to work so couldn't start straight away - oh the waiting was sooo hard!

Thank you for the extra Baby Boom - though I have few resources left for the regular one, I am sure that there are many who couldn't take advantage of the extra one and will appreciate the regular one!

Can't complain about the event in itself. Missed the early baby boom(didn't check the news or timer). So far the normal baby boom hasn't been too kind to me... very little skips.

 

Skips have been terrible, still having to breed all the way up to get last 2 canadas. Had a few expected 2 level jumps, even fewer 3 level and one bigger.

I gave up on regular breeding FSQ as I didn't find them fun, now these shorter quests are feeling tedious too.

 

Am thoroughly bummed by this event, because of the need of powerfeed. Nice of you to give some away, but not nearly enough to take part in this event. I started with only 15 pf, as the last event that needed it was very recent. No chance what so ever to mill it, not even with the mill subscription, as one can only mill 2 pf per NINE hours. so, i can do ONE breeding motel every NINE hours. ...yeah, that's gonna get me to the end of the event, is it?
Not everybody can afford to buy pf all the time, and it prevents me from taking part.

I was really looking forward to this. I wonder why i still do that, as every event has me commenting on my dissappointment.

More and more reasons not to play...and only a few left to keep playing.... the scales are tipping.

While I normally love BBD (I the anticipation of what skip surprises might happen), this one so far has been . My highest skip has been 2 levels up from the bred animals, and I'm using much more PF than I had budgeted to finish the event. One of the very few things I spend RM on is PF, but if these skips continue to be this horrible, I may very well decide to depend on only what I mill.
The low skips are very quickly eroding my BBD joy.

That said, I do like the geese (sooo cute ) and the rewards are acceptable. I like that enough luggage tags to build the base luggage workshop are provided as rewards, and the orange stables as well.

Not sure I am a big fan of Breeding events as too heavy on the PF but it is good that you can just do silver levels until you get to worthwhile prizes. I, for one, am not going to waste PF on an event sticker.... way too old to think of a sticker as a worthwhile reward.
Skips not wonderful.

Okay event, but FOCD didn't click in - used to have to finish all events, but not this one... Just went for Pens, Luggage Tags etc...
The last two events I wanted to finish (Fishing but way too random despite working hard) and Coconut Collection (I forgot one during Fishing Event - my bad!!)

The skips each breeding event are getting smaller & smaller which is disappointing considering the awesome skips before we were (feels like) constant bombarding breeding events for new animals. Several animals were in the game before me and still are excluded from upgraded pens & workshops.
Once again great work by the drawing team for the pens and the beautiful sticker. The sticker is what I imagine to be an experience of elegant air travel rather than the minimum 12 hour cattle call of today. It would be great if the stickers could be returned to the old sticker album so they could be viewed more easily once the tarzan grip was applied.

 

I disappointed by this event and unimpressed by the extra BBD since the skips were scarce and required too much PF for the prizes awarded. I will not be spending any cash on this game from now on, It just ain't worth it anymore.

 

While in general I do feel like the game developers are listening to the players and making the changes we'd like to see, the breeding event situation is one area I still feel is very non-userfriendly. Maybe we just got used to things being really great before, but most definitely, the skips are not what they used to be, and with the amount of resources demanded, still don't understand why four animals are required and why we totally lose them... and the two PF which is so hard to come by.... when the results are not that much fun, more and more people are becoming disenchanted. Add to that, the number of breeding related events which we have had in the past year, and it's just becoming overwhelming, and not in a positive manner.

I have always loved the breeding part of the game, it is one of my favorite features, and I do spend real money on the mill subscription so that I can mill PF faster, which allows me to breed more. After four years in the game, I'm to the point of having completely at least the sixth level on all the breeding quests, but the sheer number of new breeding animals that come along, with the short term quests and then the long term one, plus the Soup and Friends, plus the Baha quests that ask for breeding animals - it's just losing its appeal. With the low incidence of skips, it's becoming a huge chore rather than an exciting feature.

My advice - back off on introducing any new breeding animals for a year or so. Return the skips to their previous algorithm, which didn't really provide more frequent ones, just the odd more dramatic skip here and there. Happy players play more, which means they'll spend money. Making it so we HAVE to in order to get anywhere will just make us not care if we get anywhere! Making us happy is the way to get us to open our wallets, I promise. Give us some time to get caught up on what's already there, before making new things a challenge. Give us some more crop only quests, please, and stop adding to the breeding needs!

Even though I didn't participate in this event, I liked that not babies geese were needed. I would love all the breeding events didn't need babies so anyone could buy from the market. Not all players can spend so many Power Feeds.
