A Locking Device

People who use the machines, need a way to lock things.

Example, I recently did the FS quest Flotto Magazine. I had to grow many angora wool. For the very first round, I wanted to wait until the wool pens were all ready to harvest before starting the timer. My angora wool pens are of different UP level so some came in ready to harvest while I was still waiting on others. In the meantime, my field of crops came in ready to harvest. So that left me two choices. Harvest all my 1 by 1s by hand, as to not harvest the wool pens that were ready, or use my machines and watch my quest wool poof. Would have been wonderful if I could have locked the "ready" wool pens before using my machines. A way to lock things would sure help at times.

The cloud rows. I have seen people suggest that it would be nice if we could harvest them with our machines. Others agreed but brought up the point that we may not want to harvest all the rows at one time. We may want to save a row or two for a later time. Again, a locking device would solve this problem.

When I first read it, I thought you were asking to harvest only specific items. But now I think maybe you mean just to harvest specific categories. If it were an option to harvest just pens, just crops, just trees, just givers, it would help and be quite possible.

I am guessing if implemented it might be as part of a "superharvester" available for additional BB.

 

No Woody, I did not mean specific categories, I meant specific items. I had 4 wool pens out that day, it would have been nice to lock the ones that were ready for harvest while I was waiting for the others to come ready. Once locked, I could have harvested the field of crops that had become ready for harvesting. So just as we have buttons for the different functions on our pens for example, Feed, Water, Power Feed, what I was suggesting is that there should also be a little padlock for us to use when needed. Click on the padlock and it would lock the item so when I would use my machines, everything else would harvest but the items I have locked. I meant this for trees as well, perhaps even crops. Once it was alright to harvest the locked item, you could just click on the padlock to unlock it. I hope this helps to better understand what I was saying. Have a wonderful day Woody.

 

OK, now I understand. It would, indeed be helpful, but it might require too much programming. At any rate, its up to the team and who knows? No harm in asking!

 

I have longed for something similar many times myself so I think it's a great idea!
