SOS thread : Aces High! - Drop SOS

6 days, and 5 lands, Mainland, Green meadow, Glade, Bahama main & Rainforest

1 Event crop: Camelina 6h
1 drop: fuel cans
1 normal crop needed: Sunflower 1h (use Spring Boutonnière for +1 harvest, gold slot)

All 3 needs to be milled into fuel. 3 types of fuel can be made
The "1-step" = Biofuel : 80 Event Crop + 5 Drop + 50 Sunflower. Can change lanes.
The "3-step" = Biofuel XL: 160 Event Crop + 12 Drop +75 Sunflower. Cheapest per step
The"2xreward"= Deluxe Biofuel: 200 Event Crop + 20 Drop +100 Sunflower. 2 x reward.

We have 5 race lanes. For CR all needs to be finished.
1: 44 steps
2: 60 steps
3: 65 steps
4: 71 steps
5: 64 steps

How much is needed? That is rather tricky question to be honest. It depends on what rewards one want.

If we only go for CR+ giver = as many 3-steps cans as possible it would look something like this:

For me , a tad bit more greedy than that, have calculated to need 82 XL, 43 "1-steps" & 15 Deluxe, ends up at the whopping numbers of 19 560 crop + 1 499 drop + 9 800 Sunflower

Disclaimer: History has thought me that I tend to miss something, get a few whopsies here and there. Therefore please help me if you spot something wrong, and give me a shout. Also please let us all know what your plans are.

I absolutely agree with your tallies of the number of steps for each race.
It looks fun but challenging. Medium - we'll see!

Edit: I shall probably mill what I require as I go along as I can see that I might miss some worthwhile prizes if I always use the Biofuel XL! Oh, I do hate events where I have to think too much!

Another Edit: I edited my initial (hogwash) strategy as I don't want to mislead anybody!

 

Maybe I'm wrong bit I don't think you can switch lanes with either xl or deluxe.

Yup, you're right! It is coming back to me now. As said, I will probably grow as much stuff as I can and mill as I decide what I want next! I feel like Winnie the Pooh, the bear with the very little brain!

 

But when asked if he wants milk or honey with the bread - he wants both.Oh yes that is so me in this event

Edit: I made a visual plan to go with the races. I hope to stick to it. 1500 drops, hmm it sounds very doable to me, before the event starts. Feel like Lassie today!

 

Thanks so much for the numbers, Moraine! We have to use "normal" biofuel to change lanes. I've been doing this event just like illy 1996 described: analize the prizes and then mill! Let's pray for drops! Good luck everybody!

 

I'm still wringing the last drops out of the Creepy gang - but I am confident! This is not a call for help, I will definitely make it with my overnight crop. I find the less I worry about drops, the more they seem to come in my direction. This is probably a dream and when I wake, I will find that I am way under what I need!

Sometimes I stop to think and forget to start again!

Edit: Just noticed that the FAQs state drops will come from Crystal Falls even though we will not be able to plant there. Pretty good chance of a high level of drops ... isn't there?

Lots of nice things in this event

My strategy involves keeping all puppy paws on the ground and taking an event break. This gal is dog tired and needs some time to sort out farm stuff. I would have loved to get a bison or crocodile and a tiki totem or silver leaf tree but just can't face another event blanketing the farms in crops that we need by the thousands and will have to hope those items will come along at another time.

I think I'm going to pass on this one too I just filled all my lands with stalls and trees I'm really far behind on stock so I'm going to try and get my barns stocked back up but I'm wishing everyone going for it lots and lots of luck and thank you moraine for starting this thread

 

I took a break on the last event so I'm ready to roll for this one. Lots and lots of sunflowers in the barn.

I always get confused when we have lots of choices. I'll just wait to see what I want before I mill. So it's set up for drops, grow, grow, grow event plant and then see what I need to mill.

I'm not touching my rainforest or glade but I frequently do these types of events and leave those set up in their long term growth cycles. Just takes me longer to grow my crops but I still get the job done in the end.

 

Thanks Moraine for the numbercrunch. I will start flying but if the drop rate is not to my liking I won't mind running out of fuel at any stage.

Going to use the same tactics as previous drop events
- prepare with long timers on 1x1
- nuke initial crops twice then grow event crops during daytime on 3 main lainds only
- grow long timers on both Baha fields only, 24/7, because of low event crop TEP reward:

Event 6 hr Camelina gives 80 EP/TEP (on 2x2)
Mainland 5:58 hr Pumpkin gives 36 EP
Baha 6 hr Bell Pepper gives 84 TEP

lots of luck and lots of drops! I myself do not find anything that I really want, so I am putting my pens out, and going back to normal farming till the next event comes along! Enjoy and "Happy Farming!"

 

I'm in on this one. I like the rewards especially all those tools and the ability to double some of them is very enticing. I hate the whole milling part of it but not much I can do about that.

I've got a barn full of sunflowers, long term crops in the ground and fingers crossed for a good start.

My strategy is grow crops, mill a mixture of fuels and start flying and anything that is beneficial I will get the double rewards. Im taking this event as restocking PF, SG etc. I did want the Tiki tree or 2 but looking at FAQs it seems beyond me but you never know it depends on BP and if they have listened to us.. regarding DROPS...... Haha I cant resist bringing BP into it

We get only 10 seeds (15 if you pay for premium) to start with , for 5 fields.

Now Now Peeps CA What do you take BP for how dare you suggest such a thing. BP wont design events just to make more money

 

I have always liked this event, it was in progress when I started playing Farmerama. My Very Wise Mentor started me raising chickens and selling manure (made a bundle of CCs). Still trying to get to the finish line, but love all the goodies along the way!
My strategy is to get as far and as much as possible and have fun during this trip down memory lane.

256 fuel cans off initial harvest of 5 and a half fields, as no definate figure as to how many is required not sure if good or not time will tell with how many of each I mill

 

Going by Moraines figures, we need 204 or 250 per day(unless my calculator is broken).
