Ok I am all in... I like some things... and if I can make like 25 deluxe fuel cans I be doing good... I have a rough figure of what I need for this event... and all looks good but the drops I will need... Don't think I will make that number. So gonna wait to mill till later. And try to do it all at once.

I got 288 after I harvest my first event crops with this morning harvest and 2 from gifts.

My initial harvest was 238 cans. I know it might seem a bit on the low side comapre to others, but I hadn't really set my farm properly for drop. I had chickens, forgot a field of bamboo, Plenty of trees, monkeys, banana and empty spots. Yes you read it correctly, I had spots here and there I hadn't bothered filling with something. I am in the process of taking advantages of the pictures of premium. So I'm trying to have a picture of 2 of each tree in alphabetical order (so I can easier find what I have - or not). Also trying to have the feed trees on the edges of my menageries. Boring work, takes ages. Trees don't grow in a day

But as per usual I'm optimistic this event and cloud row will be mine, and I won't spend a penny (or øre as it's called in Scandinavia).

258 drops with rose hips and bitter ginger this morning. I have plenty of sunflowers in the barn, and the drop rate seems ok, so I will take on this event. What can I say? I love to fly!
For those taking a break from the event - happy peaceful farming.

Hi aslan64, I like your farm name. Some of my all time Favorite reading! Good Luck on your first Flight!!
This is not the easiest event to finish, usually. However any CR you get will be waiting for you when you open the Bean Stalk.

 

Gonna give this a try although busy weekend so see how goes, but got a nice 308 drops on first harvest so drops could be good for me to give it a good go.

 

Ask Mooboy for his Nuking Strategy for Event Seeds... I think you would really benefit from it.

 

I do not have a premium account, Personally it is not worth the benefits for it real costings in real currency It is not worth buying event bundle barkers either.

I use my resources such as Super Grow and Suzy Super Grow, that I have earned completing previous events. I uses these to have a flying start to build up stock of event crops so I can complete the first objective to build up enough event crops to fill all event fields with event crops asap

This is why I use my nuking strategy using 2x2 Field for this event I firstly used Bahamas, then rain forest, then all other fields. So I can use Manfield, Green meadowe and the Glade to grow many sunflowers as I can as they are needing to Mill Biofuels, deluxe and Xl too

I got 369 Biofuels on First harvest, I am please with that

 

I already picked up that trick several yrs back... I was pointing out they gave us 15 seeds (20 for premium) for the Swirl event, but cut us back for this event lol

 

Guess I wouldn't make a good pilot, not sure which plane I am supposed to be flying. Can someone point me in the right direction lol.

If you click on the plane arrows come up for you to choose which fuel you want to use. Be careful if you want a double reward make sure you land the step before it then use deluxe fuel. My head is hurting from all the thinking

After first almost complete day I have 468 drops. Which is a good start as I build up the event crop. Have a barn full of sunflowers. Thanks Moraine for the reminder that Spring Boutonnière gives plus 1. I was able to crank some out.

I still have some land areas waiting on carnations to harvest. So I hope to have a good drop day today. I have one more level to finish on the Crop trophy. My carnations have been handy for the trophy. I am also using them to get those elusive top three tier refinements on carnations. No luck in over a week of trying.

My goal this flight - Get more SG.

lol, more confused than ever. Used the red plane which I presumed to be on the bottom as it shows and it gave me all top rewards.

 

I quit. I have 40 Deluxe Fuel in barn, only to learn I don't need them. What a waste...

 

Aww c'mon Bhodho, there's plenty of time to grow lots more crops and drops and make your regular and XL biofuels... and you can DOUBLE 40 prizes with those Deluxes!! Extra boards, GBs, PFs, givers, Farm Coins, Eerie Wonder trees etc . Don't quit!

 

Peeps is right, and if you quit now all you will get out of those lovely 40 DFs is EP and CC.
Remember to check which fuel will put you 1 move away from the prize you want to double. You also have to be in the right lane, the DF only moves forward(the Biofuel will move you up or down at the back of the plane).

BLady, the three icons in the front of your plane allows you to choose whether you want to move forward 1/3/1+double rewards. The icon at the tail of the plane moves your plane up/down and forward one step. In the FAQ it is grayed out but if it were green... clicking would use one small fuel and move the plane up and forward one step. I find it best to move up/down as soon as possible, right after collecting a reward, so I make sure I'm in place for the reward I prefer. Sometimes I don't have a preference for the prize. I think I'm going to be using a lot of the high octane stuff tho. lol

EDIT:
I usually start by milling about 10 of each and replace what I use as I move along.
After about 24h I had about 500+ drops. More than 700 after morning harvest of refined and buff'd long crops. Don't forget to use alchemy when you can.
The drop rate is fairly high so if one is worried about drops don't bother with 2x2 plots in your fields, use medium or small plots to maximize chances, preferably small plots.

 

I guess I'm doing ok on the drops. Put out a field of parrots to get poo (already planted my main fields or I would have put out cuckoos and chickens duh!!!) Baha is a long crop. Just want to make sure I can get the drops as fast as I can I have yet to figure out my plan of flight but sure I will goof it up somehow
