I find it interesting that you say "We understand that ads are an important part of the players Farmerama experience".
(Quote is from memory as copy/paste doesn't work.)

I don't find ads to be important to me. I do understand that ads benefit BigPoint and help keep the game running but I am disappointed that BigPoint is trying to "spin" ads as being in any other way beneficial to me, the player. Just be honest please. It's not like anything I say will keep you from adding ads to the game. (I don't want them but I will deal with them when they show up.)

If ads do show up in the game, I do believe most of the players will drop out. I will always try to support this game because it is a precious game for me since it has been like 18 years first time I have ever played Farmerama. Just I hope that you will manage ads in a way that it will not get in the way of anyone. Much love from Turkiye.(Ah how I miss Turkish Forum. . .)

I agree with everything @BlackCaviar said. Also, Bigpoint already makes a lot of money via tracking our browsers and sharing/selling our data to third parties (for targeted ad purposes) even when you opt out of that. So to add ads that interrupt the game is a little overkill in my opinion. I've been playing farmerama for almost 10 years so I'll still keep playing unless the ads become intrusive; in which case I may sadly not play as much anymore or spend my money on the game. I don't agree with having ads overall. I don't think ads are an important part of a players experience in farmerama by any means like what was mentioned in the announcement on it.

Thank you for the chance to voice our opinions - much appreciated. I agree with all the previous posters. I do not want ads to interrupt my game as I have only a few hours a day to play and I would not want it interrupted. I have been playing since August of 2010 and do enjoy playing the game. I spend a little too much money as it is on this game and if I had to watch ads, I am afraid I would be so annoyed I may have to discontinue playing. I understand the need for ads to help keep the game up and running and if you could find a way to incorporate them without it being a constant nuisance that would be ideal or find another way to keep the game up and running. Thanks!

Thank you for the opportunity to share our thoughts regarding ads. Please excuse me for being so obtuse, but to what type of ad are you referring?

There are in-game ads for items directly related to our Farmerama playing experience. There are ads (not available in all locations) in the City/Movie area, and there are ads with nothing to do with Farmerama. For me personally, in any fora, I find ads intrusive and unless I have the option to turn them on/off, they annoy me to the point where I will deliberately determine to not click/watch/purchase whatever product/service is being touted. So, if Farmerama were to go the route of forcing players to watch ads before being able to play/continue in the game, I think the intent of the ads (sales and more money to BP/sponsors) will backfire.

Also, my personal opinion is that unfortunately, most things which are presented to the public are to enrich (not benefit/serve) the client/customer. It is just downright greed and too many in this world are focused on how much they can get for themselves with little/no thought of helping others.

I have no idea how much it reasonably costs to host a game of this type and to maintain it in a stable fashion. Are financial reports available to interested parties? From personal experience, I believe when there are good relationships of trust and respect, people tend to support each other.

My time is also limited and as I age and have to lessen screen time, then to what I devote my time depends on the enjoyment/ease I receive. This is the most enjoyable game I have played and I sincerely appreciate the enthusiasm and kindness provided by those involved with its function. I hope we all can continue to enjoy the game and the Forum in the years to come.

This is a bit concerning to me. One of the main reasons I've continued to play Farmerama for well over a decade is the freedom of ads. I spend money on this "free" game b/c I like to auto harvest and all the other perks. However, if there are considerable interruptions to play with ads. I may reduce my play or stop completely.

Ads are very welcome to Movie theater. I would not mind if there were "Company xxx" cloud row in some event and maybe a sign of them in mini game. Like ad on a fence behind goal in football event. Something which is not too disturbing, but which can be noticed.
I do not want ads, which disturb playing the game.
