Feedback Advent Calendar 2014

I have managed to get all the gifts from the calendar and I must say they were much better than last year

 

I am very unhappy with the calendar. BP did not consider at all that some people are traveling and spending Christmas with family. The calendar should stay open/available till end of the month and not to be closed at the end of the day December 27th. I left home for one week on 20th. I had been prepared to pay BBs for the missing 4 days but when I got home and logged onto the game... calendar was gone. I live in North America and with the time difference even though I landed on 27th at 17:25 it was already almost midnight in Europe. The game is supposed to be fun and Advent Calendar provide stocking gifts to all players but looks like BP is trying to choose who can get them.
Very, very disappointed... the more that from reading on the forum the gifts I missed seem to be quite good.

I am so sorry to hear that ag. I agree that the Advent Calendar should have been available longer. I would have suggested until new year's eve that's when my family usually got rid of the Christmas Tree. We only decorate on the 24th and then enjoy a little more time looking at the tree after christmas.

Why not let people look at the presents a bit longer, remembering how well the year ended and then moving on to a next new and hopefully wonderful year. And let the players that are staying with family over Christmas and then need to travel back have their presents! That they even would pay for!

I still think that the advent calendar should have been free. I would like to suggest already now that next year's calendar will be free again, so that everybody can be included into the In-Game Christmas as much as in the RL Christmas. Not excluding people that have less time than others but making them welcome instead... there are only very few events that can do that in the first place and now this one doesn't work properly anymore.

The people that spend time and money for their families are people that might just be the players that spend money to support the greater Farmerama "Family" by buying or asking for secret stablemasters for example. And me as a player I would rather have players in my community that value for example family over a game. Making players feel punished for their RL priorities in this way is chasing away exactly the players that this game needs to exist in my opinion. Because it is a community game; even if most players just play by themselves.
