Allow co-account play when in vacation mode

I go on vacation twice each spring, one that's about a week and a half, and a second time that can go as long as 3 weeks. Invariably I miss out on a really great event, and usually G&T. I know that BP doesn't allow account sharing, but maybe there could be an exception, such as the ability to temporarily allow one friend/neighbor to care for our farm while we are gone for extended time periods. The option could only be chosen if activating vacation mode, and the substitute farmer would be listed at the time vacation mode is activated. Only farming actions (planting, harvesting, milling, etc.) could be allowed, no market actions or purchasing things with BBs. The substitute would log in using (for example) my username, but their own password, so no issue of password sharing would occur. That way instead of missing out on awesome prizes, our chosen farmer could do an event for us that we would otherwise not be able to compete in. I think most of us long time farmers have made at least one friend here that we could trust with our farm in our absence. It would be nice to be able to help each other in this way. I have not posted since we switched to the new forum but had to say yes to this great idea, most of us admit we have focd and rl gets in the way sometimes. Major lol, most of you know what I am talking about. But for those who have met some very dear friends on the farm we have some who have health problems who go to stay in the hospital frequently or have family members responsibilities which stop us from being able to play daily. It would be a load off our mind to know our farms are being taken care of.

I love this idea. I play another farm game and they call it super neighbor that can do the seeding and harvesting and designing. The only thing different about this game and that one is we don't have super neighbors here and they use gas to use the machines to harvest,seed etc.

I am hoping that one day we can have people do our farms like this when we are here or gone. The main user can set rules when setting up a user to tend thier farm. Like say you gonna be gone a week. You know some events we can buy crops and stuff for it. So set a limit to which the super nieghbor can spend(CC). when that is gone. then if thier is a option for the super user to his/her own coins( CC's= Country coins) for the extra things make sure you can select that.(if it is added)

The cash money we get in the other game is always locked. I would like to think BP will make sure our cash money here( called barnyard bills) is locked. Now I do like the idea the super neighbor can use his her BB's. That is fine. I think there will be issues if we are allowed to use someones BB's. One can go on a unneeded shopping spree and wham we will have issues.. Well BP and our MODs will have the issues of extra posts and mailing BP support.

I do like the idea if we can use the persons BB's if there is a option to select it and the person going away for a week will select it for us, as I know there is a few people here I can trust with mine. I don't always have much BB's anyway to worry with it.. But others long as like it has been said, give the BB use to trusting farmers then all will more likely be great with that idea. Long as BP gives us the option to lock our BB use then it will be up to us farmers to give a player that choice.

One more thing I must say, the other game i play has super neighbors, there is no swapping accounts.. lets say 2 farmers name Mary and Sue. Sue sets super nieghbor up. leaves... Mary logs into Mary's account goes to Sues farm and does the work. So yes in order for us to go to ones farm we must be able to visit it. Otherwise yes we will need a way to log into the person account that is going on vacation to do the work.

 

In other games it's called being a sitter. As an owner you limit what your sitter can and cannot do. Like reading mail, sending mail, spending igm money (cc) real money (BB), delete items etc etc.

I think it would be great, and make a better purpose of that vacation rune.
