What would baby cows & horses eat?
Carrots & apples for the baby horses maybe? But for the baby cows??? Maybe some type of grain, corn & ???

In real life, they both would eat hay. Farmerama doesn't always follow real life though. I did once own a horse that loved root beer and I've known one that loved pizza. :)

Ironically enough I don't think hay is a good bet :p

Thanks, Brookeham. Due to its size I believe it is a Russian dwarf hamster. However, it is not my own picture.

:cry:Okay I'm lost .... I thought it was to be Chicken, Goat and Pigs..... and now I see you are discussing Horses and perhaps Cows? My chickens love oatmeal.... baby or otherwise.... especially on a cold morning, it warms their tummies!

Different event FarmerMolly ;) You can find the rumors about the Czeck event in my summary :) Maybe it wasn't very clear, but now we have moved on to the breeding event, scheduled for the end of the month :p Rumor has it, we have to breed cows and horses to get calves and foals. But these babies are apparently hungry and will want some food. Now we are guessing which ingredients will be needed :D

I know you said Farmerama doesn't always follow real life - but don't they both drink milk? They were called baby animals...just saying:p

This will be the 3rd baby animal event. Jan. had baby chickens & ducks, and we milled baby blankets. Feb. had lambs & piglets, and we milled pacifiers from rubber trees. This looks to be calves & colts, with the milling item some type of feed. The milling item hasn't been very high level, this is a breeding event and requires donating higher level breeding animals, so don't think rare tree or high level crop ingredients would make sense.

Edit: I should have said medium level breeding animals. I did not mean to imply high level animals. I was just going by the previous baby animal events.

hi dafodily :) I think they will be low level breeding animals, rather than high level ;) at least I haven't seen any rumors to the contrary :p

On an other forum was a suggestion for pears and fennel. Now, I am not sure for which of the April events.

So it looks like we'll be feeding carrot mash & apple oatmeal to the colts and fennel cereal & pear farina to the calves.
It will be interesting to see what other ingredients will be needed! Cow milk & goat (milk) cheese possibly?

don't get me wrong, I do use fennel seeds in soup, veggie side dishes or as tea to help with bloating. But I am glad I don't have to eat it with cereal. That sounds real strange.o_O
