FAQ is very difficult to understand.

 

Agreed. I find the FAQ very confusing. An additional step for no reason. Cant even begin to understand where to get the items needed.

I normally enjoy the fishing game, however I can only win lures every 23 hours...thats boring.

 

I'm pretty sure I said this the last time the fishing event was around, but here we go. I love the fishing game but not being able to do anything to get lure is frustrating. Let me correct that, anything BUT BUY THEM. The process to win lures is way too slow, as it is to fill up the pools with the crops. While it is cute and pretty (Shark stories), I have no interest in any part of it other than getting lures to go fishing. But again, can't do that in a pace that is fun. I'm hoping other planned games will offer more opportunities to get lures!

 

Verrrry slow. All the excitement squeezed out of a popular event. I too hope there's more lures available from the next companion event ... but probably not.
In particular, I keep forgetting to "use" my box of lures so doubly frustrating.

 

Got the cloud row and growing more crops to get those trade-in bonuses!
I agree, it is like watching paint dry and we can't even choose which lure to mill any more.
Surely the name 'box of lures' mean there should be more than one lure per box.

 

I agree with all the above. Found the event confusing & truthfully forgot about this part until yesterday. Kept checking mill to make the lures not realizing that I needed to open boxes to get them. This is usually one of my favourite events but not this time. Having to wait 23 hours for a couple of lures with no control over what you will be getting is boring! Usually I would make the deluxe ones only but with this event that is not possible. Two thumbs down from me!!

 

So, who at BP thought this was a good idea? To take a fun fishing game and now make us open crates every 23 hours to get in my case 1 regular lure? I liked it better when I could plant crops and "Mill" the lure "I" wanted to use and I didn't have to wait for days to get enough lures so I could fish more than once or twice at a time! I seriously can't imagine sitting at a meeting where all you people thought this was a good idea! I really hope we can get more lures in the accompanying events, and the next time we have a fishing event it is NOT this version! I am not a "Happy Farmer!"

 

I agree it's kind of boring right now, but I think the slow pace is necessary in the beginning to avoid having to play an unmanageable number of games in the last 2 weeks. I've already gotten 4 out of the 12 pearls required so I doubt we'll be getting extra lures in future events on top of what we get from the bubbles in the Aqua Mania layer.

I do think it's unfair that players who are only interested in fishing are being forced to do all the other events in order to obtain lures, but one could just as easily argue that players who would've done these events anyway are being given additional rewards without all the extra work involved in the old fishing events. People are always complaining that a typical event doesn't give enough of an incentive to do them, so there you go - an extra incentive. Be careful what you wish for.

What I don't like is having so many layers of randomness - we get a crate that gives us a random lure, which in turn gives us a random fish, which in turn gives us yet another crate with a random prize. I know RNG is a necessary evil in this game but 3-4 layers is a bit much, IMO. It'd be less irritating if, for example, the Crate O' Lures provided a fixed amount of materials needed to make the lures instead of a random lure, so we at least have a choice in the type of lure we use; then the event layer could subtract the required amount of materials whenever we clicked on a deluxe, premium, or normal lure.

 

Agree with everything above. This was a favorite event for farmers, and now it's just another tedium. That said, the graphics for the bubbles are good.

 

Im confused.. i have two whistles and can't work out how to "open" the bubbles.

 

You can only open the bubbles if they are "unlocked" - show no padlock. Click on the next bubble you want to/can open, on the right there will be a tab saying "Use". If it is green, you can click it and open the bubble. Don't forget to return to the Crate of Lure bubbles every 23 hours to collect your Crates of Lures.

 

Well I am glad I am not the only one that has been totally lost and unhappy with game. Can't figure out any FAQ about events lately and once I do and get started realize that I probably won't get cloud row and have wasted time and energy in event. Of course since nothing changes after we all complain, again posting this is a waste of time and energy.

 

Waited to respond until I had gone through the water-ski portion of this multi event. Complexity does not equal challenge; too much to do to get anywhere and results are so random as to take the pleasure out of what you do accomplish. Don't care if I finish or not, and will not spend money on it.

Ruined the fishing event!

 

Extremely boring ... Most of the lures are just basic. The skill required for the actual fishing is nil - what works once, doesn't always work again. Very random. I missed the chance of the last two Compasses from the current associated event so my chance of lures is diminished.
I really wish this event had not been made so complicated ... if it's not broken, why fix it?
On a positive note, I have got 6 of the required rare Pearls.

 

Too random...my concern is that after a month of fishing, will I have enough pearls to open the Cloud rows? We have now just completed 2 of the 4 events that contribute to fishing and I still do not have enough pearls for even the first row.

Events to open the bubbles are too much....too many crops, low drop rate, too many resources needed (including round the clock computer sitting) just to be able to open the bubbles to get crates that give random lures which catch random fish awarding random prizes.

I don't really want to participate in all 4 events that this event includes but feel compelled to do so if I want to maximize my chances of completing the event.

Overall, just as tired and disappointed as everyone else.

 

I usually like the fishing events but I can't say I'm enjoying this one. I'm NOT a fan of having to do extra events to progress in the current one. It all feels too slow to me and agree with puppiesnponies it's all too random and may not even win the required pearls for the cloud rows. I will keep going for now but hope we don't have to endure another event like the Skiing event to progress in this one (I won't be happy).

How many pearls have you gotten? This event is so bad now that I can see working on it for the whole thing and still not getting the 12 pearls needed for the cloud rows. Not to mention any missed bubbles from "companion" (read time and resource sucking) events and how that will impact things. I agree with everyone here that the formerly fun fishing event has turned into a drag.

 

I have 9 out of 12 pearls now. We have over 2 weeks to go with more lures than we got during the first couple of weeks, so I think it's still too early to panic.

 

I've got 8 so far, so I'm confident. Mostly from marlin, but 1 today from puffer fish. I found the quicker you reel in your line usually the better fish. If I wait too long I will mostly always get the bottom one. So bored with that one I cant remember its name.

I too am disappointed that the lure boxes rarely release deluxe lures. Even the couple I bought at the beginning. Doesnt affect game play though
