Arboretum

I love the idea of the new "consolidation" houses, however, it seems the arboretum is unusually small (as compared to the animal and craft house version).

In the animal and craft house "space savers", we get 4 squares for 16 squares worth of houses.

With the arboretum, we use 4 squares for 6 squares worth of trees. It should be 16 trees, using 4 spaces - if the prior house format is followed.

Please consider changes to the arboretum to allow 16 trees, prior to upgrade.

I completely agree BonbonQueen!!! I've purchased the menageries and manufactories......but am holding off on the arboritum....b/c it seems totally out of line to only get a few trees slots for all those stars and bb's.

 

To call something that holds six trees in a 2x2 footprint a great space saver is a bit ridiculous, especially since trees fit so well in those odd corners along the edges of fields. The fact that it can only upgrade to 8 total is even more ridiculous given the upgrade procedure/cost. I must admit I was expecting something along the line of at least a dozen trees to start.

I would suggest the same as the previous posters; make it hold more if you are trying to sell us on space saving. Gaining access to 2 extra 1x1 plots is hardly exciting. If you really need the space for trees, you're better off getting the other storehouses and using the newly freed field space. It's not single click control, but we're already used to that.

Please consider expanding the holding capacity by 2 or 3 times; otherwise it's just a terrible value and just looks ridiculous compared its siblings.

 

I agree - I have not 'bought' the Arboritum purely because of the cost v number of trees it holds initially.
An alternative is perhaps the Arboretum should only take a 1x1 square to bring it in line with the Animal ones.

 

Please expand the Arboretum to allow for additional trees in the base storage facility. Its capacity is out of alignment when compared to the menagerie and manufactory.

 

I am not going to use my stars for Arboretum as it is huge let down in terms of space savings on our farms. We have an Pineapple Cake to Boost by +1 on All Tropical Fruits it would be nice to have one to boost Farm Fruits !!

I will get Arboretum when improvements are made. Until then we have to wait and see

 

Have just read that technical limitations prevent the expansion of these buildings above 8 slots. If there really is no way around this in the code, then I'm with farmerumf on making it a 1x1. Better yet, make it a 1x1 and give 2 or 3 per purchase! At the rate of increase of new trees (we're about to get 4 more), this would not be extravagant.

 

Bp... I have over 2000 (!!) useless trees in my inventory...

I would really like an arboretum that holds 500 trees, or an orchard field.


Something USEFUL for trees would be nice.

 

I agree. I also think its very unfortunate that we HAVE to open the arboretum before we can open the manufacturer on the tree of wisdom!

EDIT: I was incorrect. Accorring to puppies ponies, you Can open them individually.

To me all these menageries etc are waste of time and space for the amount you can put in them ... I have 500 stars but am not buying any of them ...would sooner farm as i am now
