Auto harvest

I am having trouble with the Auto Harvest function again.
Here is the link to my first report.

This has happened several times since I purchased the premium membership. It is my understanding that with the auto harvester off, I can visit each field to activate pets, then go to the city to turn turn on the auto harvester and then harvest my trees. I have since discovered that I must allow it to harvest the trees on each field (that I want to harvest), go back to the city to turn it off, and then return to all fields to harvest everything else (crops, stables, and parks) or otherwise, it will harvest my rainforest which is in trees and which I do not want to harvest. I have only harvested the rainforest once accidentally when I forgot to turn off the auto harvester but today, when I was harvesting my park, the rainforest was harvested instead.

Please tell me if I am using this feature incorrectly. It is most frustrating for trees to harvest when I don't want them to. (not all appropriate buffs were running as I did not intend for trees on rainforest to harvest).

Please note that I am using Google Chrome and all housekeeping functions have been done. They are done regularly and most recently this morning.

The Auto Tree harvest function is the primary reason I purchased the premium membership so I would really like to understand what I am doing wrong so that I can get the maximum benefit from it. Please help and thank you in advance for you assistance.

With auto tree harvest on, it will not harvest any trees on the fields until they are visited (remembering not to visit is the hard part) Yes you need to keep the feature turned off if you do not want them automatically harvest when visiting that field. If you have animals as well, it is best to harvest them by hand, then finish the remaining actions with the harvester machinery so trees are not harvested as well.

Your problems with the harvester may be due to game lag or display issues. You can try the usual clearing browser cache and Flash cache to see if that helps solve the problem.

First, thank you for your reply.

Second, I think I need to make some clarification to my post as you are reminding me how the function works, and that is how I have used it, but it is not the result I am getting.

The trees in the Rainforest are being harvested and I have not visited that field with auto harvest on. The only thing in the Rainforest is a pet owl and the rest is trees. I did not want to harvest them this morning and did not visit it after activating the pet and going to the city to turn on the auto harvest. As stated in my post, I have done all the usual cleaning. It is done regularly and was done prior to this morning's harvest. Cleaned browser, cleaned cache, restarted router and computer before harvesting.

Let me walk you through step by step of what I did so you can help me solve the mystery of why my rainforest continues to harvest when I specifically make all attempts not to harvest it.

Log In
Visit cloud rows and activate any buffs there
Activate buffs in buff menu
Activate pets in the following order: Main field, Green Meadow, Magical Glade, Park, Shipwreck Bay, Baha Island, Rainforest, return to Shipwreck Bay to harvest Kitten Caboodle and when its 40% has been added, I then harvest the Tunnel of Love and Kitty Crib pets. All those wonderful EP boosters!
Go to the city and activate auto harvest
Go back to Main field, auto harvest trees. When I then attempt to harvest the rest of the field with machinery, it automatically harvests the trees in the rainforest. This has occurred at least twice that I can remember (see link in my original post) but I think it has been more like three times.

I have only been successful in the auto harvester not harvesting the Rainforest if I actually make 2 rounds of the farm. One round to harvest only trees, go to the city to turn off auto harvester, and then another round to all fields to harvest everything else. The problem with this is when there is game lag, my pets run out of time before I can finish.

Today, I activated all buffs and pets, went to the city to turn on auto harvester, and then went to the park instead of main field to see if I could harvest without the auto harvester capturing my rainforest trees. The screen shots above show that I was not successful in preserving those trees, fruits and BEP.

Please advise what to do to keep the auto harvester from harvesting trees that are not intended to be harvested. If I am doing something wrong, please tell me the correct steps.

As another matter of interest: when I apply turbo mulch to my turbo trees (on main field), it shows that the mulch has been applied and time reduced but when I finish harvesting the trees on the rest of the farm, turn off the auto harvester in the city and return to the main field, the turbo mulch is no longer on the trees and must be reapplied. This does not happen with other trees that I put it on, only the jumbos.

I hope I have made my situation clear and am eagerly looking forward to your feedback.

 

The trees should not harvest with the auto tree harvest off unless you use the Harvest Machinery in which case, even the trees will be harvested.
Can you please follow the steps here to clear your Flash cache.

I did not harvest the trees with the auto harvest off. I did not use machinery to harvest the rainforest. I only visited the rainforest to activate the pet owl. The trees were harvested by the auto harvester in error when I was in the park yesterday and on the main field previously. I understand that sometimes there is can be a cache/lag issue and the game may not register that I have switched fields and the auto harvester mistakenly harvests the wrong field. However, I have visited the Shipwreck Bay, the city, and the park in between being in the rainforest so those trees should NOT have been harvested by the auto harvester.

As I have stated in both posts, all cleaning/clearing steps were followed immediately previous to harvesting. Everything was clean, dusted, spic n' span, no farming dust anywhere...could pass the white glove test.

I respectfully request that the steps I have outlined be reviewed again so that it can be determined why the Auto Harvester is misbehaving and what can be done about it.

 

I have checked your farm and everything seems to be working normally The display issue must be on your end otherwise we would have many other complaints from our larger communities.

Your trees are ready to be harvested, would that be the case if they had been harvested automatically as the Parrot Feather takes 20 hours to mature?
I have cleared your user cache from our end also to see if that helps.

Can you try next time you are ready to activate your pets, and if the trees are showing in the Park, upload a screenshot again.

Update:
I logged in and activated all pets, went to the city to activate the auto harvester and returned to the main field. The trees were auto harvested, leaving just crops needing to be harvested. I harvested the crops and instead of the crop harvesting, the rainforest trees were harvested. It appears that when I used the farm machinery to harvest (I cannot manually harvest 1x1 plots) the crop (sorghum), it harvested my tropical trees instead on the main farm field. They were not auto harvested as the time and BEP indicate the loss. The only work around I have found is to make 2 rounds of the farm which is very time consuming. While you say the display is on my end, I am not looking to blame the game/BP, but just want to know how to fix this issue. Here is tonight's screenshot as requested:

 

Please contact Support to see if they can get to the bottom of your problems as I can suggest nothing further Link them both threads and provide the details of when you started experiencing this problem.
