Baha +2 diamond bonus not working

It is supposed to work for 8 hours but on 1 1/2 fields it is only giving me the normal yield of 2 instead of 4. I have sown vanilla. Half field in the rainforest farm harvested already at only 2 and my main island field is showing 2 also.
The other half of my rainforest field is cassava and it is showing 4.

Ok, so I just tried other crops and anything under cassava comes up with 2. If I sow cassava or longer growing crops it comes up with 4.
Quite pointless really if I want to use up my 8 hour bonus to the last minute.

Is this meant to be like this? A bonus that is only good for one harvest?

 

crops - the only +2 diamond bonus that lasts for 8 hours is the Yellow Coconut. Is that what you are using? If so, it only works on vegetables which is why it is increasing your cassava crops but not vanilla.

Can you advise what buff you are using? Some crafting buffs only effect certain categories of crops as puppiesnponies has suggested.

I thought veg was everything not growing on a tree nor a flower.
