I have a slightly different question from those above. How important is it, really to move up in the Bakery? I am currently at level 2 bakery, level 3 confectionery and level 3 florist. What would be the best/most important to move up in? I am also level 2 in the spa. Level 2 was a disappointment, but should I hurry to move up in any or just take my time?

    My recommendation:

Right now, I would say the only important one to level up in is the confectionery. CAC recipe on level 4 is great (for those who don't know: it costs 199BB). The level 5 recipes are also very good :) But make lots of traditional chutney while you are still at level 3, it is needed to make CAC ;)

The only good recipe in the florist is the spring wreath at level 5. It is best not to make anything until you get there, because all the recipes require so many products. The best way to reach level 5 is to use 5 white innocence per day, for months and months :sleepy: Right now I am not sure it is worth it. Because of all the bonus codes last fall, the price of spring wreath dropped a lot. So if you watch the market you can find good deals. This may change of course. Some also like the terror bouquet recipe, but I prefer to use my moonlight mania crops on other things.

The recipes I like in the bakery are carrot bread (level 1) and zucchini apple bread (level 4), both for BBs. You can find zucchini apple bread quite cheaply now (at least in my market), again because of the bonus codes. But again, that might change.

Mango orange smoothie (spa level 3) is usually a bit cheaper to make than red punch (relative to the BEP it gives). But there is no rush, just make red punch until you get there :)

    Hope this is helpful :)

PS. Make sure you have some zucchini apple breads, carrot breads and easter marmalade or spring wreath in your barn. Might be useful in the next event ;) (a few will do)

I think it depends on your overall goals...I wanted to be able to make my own products. I was not savvy at the time about the market so my goal was to be able to make what I use so my initial goals in the game were CAC and ZAB. For the bakery, what I use most is carrot bread, cheese balls (level 1), pineapple cake (level 3) and most importantly ZAB (level 4). In those days ZAB was much more expensive than it is now so I could not afford to buy it.

I still have not leveled up the florist as I rarely produce anything there. Mainly terror bouquets. I do use valentine pots but they are cheaper to buy than make because of paint palettes. When manure hits very low prices, I will use it to make the boutonniere.

The spa is where I would focus my efforts if you are trying to make significant progress on Baha. Level 3 you can make MOS!

    Good luck!

woody, It's changed since I was in your position. I forget which trade... florist? has recipes you can use to level up. Something similar for spa. For spa I just made as much RP as I could til I got to MOS. Florist I make VP and TB cause I don't have time to compare prices. I make CAC and ZAB too. Not necessarily the most efficient regarding CCs but... it works for me.

Currently, I think the Confectionery is still the most important because of CAC. Spa for MOS. Bakery for ZAB. But if you have the time do the cost analysis to see if it's cheaper to sell crops used to make the trade product and then buy the finished product or make it yourself.

If your going to buy the recipe... do so during a half price sale.

neily - you can use 5 products a day in your artisan shops to use for trade points to help you level up. Pinkie Pie Pie gives 270 points making it great product to use.

In the barn you do not have the option to use it to upgrade your trade, go to the bakery in the village and click on a product, you should have 4 options the second one on the right(top) is the one that allows you to use it to upgrade.

yes, instead of the regular gifts you can send 5 products to 5 different neighbors each day, with the rune on the tree unlocked you can send 7 gifts.

    Ok, remember thick here.

TP?,20CC? total? ok, how do you read this? I understand it's important but can someone s-i-m-p-l-i-f-y this? o_O

TP in this instance is Trade points for leveling up the bakery.

In order to determine which product is the best for leveling up, you should go to the market and compare prices.
Divide your cost by how many trade points that product gives you. The product that gives you the lowest CC/point ratio becomes the price/point you would pay for other similar bakery products. Then multiply the trade points for each bakery product by the CC/point amount and you will find the maximum cost you should be willing to pay to purchase the product for leveling up. In the example above, you would not buy a PPP for leveling the bakery as it is much higher than the 5400 CC even though it gives the most points. Hope that helps!

Ok trade points, Where do you locate them? the amount by product in barn?

market prices, Compare to what? a few different sellers, by the price over 1 week? the total of product values you put into the product to what finished product sells for?
I just been looking at prices in market and go like 500.00 lower, so far every jam I put up <pink jelly I wait till breeding time, it sells then> but every single other product comes back in 7 days.:( I will be into bakery heavy soon, and don't want the same thing to happen.

I am sorry to be me, I take a bit to get things.

keltic - Here is the link for the Bakery FAQ

Scroll down to the list of products and in the column that says 'Points', those are your trade points. That is how many points you get from making them and/or consuming them to level up your bakery.

Compare the finished product market prices of each one to see which one is the most cost effective to use for leveling up.

As far as selling in the market, if you are having products come back every 7 days, I would suggest watching your market for a while before listing since you are losing the listing fee upon return. You don't want to sell too high that it is returned nor too low that you are giving it away. Some products sell regularly and some will fluctuate in demand with events or newly released quests.

Never apologize for being yourself:) It is good you ask questions. The more you learn the more you will enjoy the game:)

Well idk where to place this question. I hope someone can help me.:p I'm trying to use Valentine's pots to speed my stables. I understand I need to activate the pot before I feed my animals for it to work. What I don't understand is what happens when the buff wears off.
The buff is good for 8 hours. If I use the VP [valentine's pot], feed the animal, but the stable takes 20 hours then I'm out of luck for the last 12 hours right?
If I try to use another pot before or after the current pot is done it still won't help with that stable... Is this correct?
If I'm posting in the wrong section please let me know, I can delete the post and move it to the right section.
Thank you for your help.;) :)
