Bears For Sale

This really makes me angry because I've spent my real life money on BB's to try and win them during those mystery events, and now they come up for sale for CC's?????
I feel really ripped off!! Whats the point in spending my hard earned money during those kinds of events when we can wait for them to go on sale in the shop for "pretend" farm bucks!!
Youve lost my business BP!!!

I guess the difference would be if you had received a bear pen earlier you would have some bears in inventory and might be able to complete the bear breeding event without having to purchase baskets
If you purchase some pens now for the cc's you can partake in the event but probably won't have enough to finish it without purchasing bears from the market.

I think the BP offers the pens in the market so that everyone can partake in the breeding events--the bear pens have been around for quite some time now. Even when you purchase a mystery item (tree or pen) or receive them from events/quests it doesn't mean that you will get the pen/tree (unless you purchase the package that guarantees you get at least 1 new pen/tree). I have received some mystery stables/trees and am still missing some.

Spending the BB's to obtain them just give you an edge over other farmers who don't because you get them sooner.

I understand your Frustration, that we can buy Bears Habitats from the Stores. Since i have been playing this Game for at least 7 years.

Bear Habitat is not the only Rare Animal that has become Breeding Animal. Previously Rear Animals such as Cats, Dogs and Mouse. As Rear Animal can only be won from Wonder Stables at First.

But also we can Obtain Bear Habitat from Barter and Gift Event too.

It now becoming Common that Rear Animal Stables will become an Breeding Animal sooner or later.

I am not really upset with the players who can now purchase them in the shop, but I just recently got mine when they did that event where you picked what pens you wanted to try to win for 15 BB's. It took me several several tries but I was finally able to win 2 bear habitats and I was so excited, especially when I learned a bear event was upcoming!! Just dont understand why that was a choice on there when they knew it was going to come up for sale in the shop for CC's!!
I promise, I am not trying to rant or make anything more out of it than what it is but I did want to voice my opinion and thought this section would have been the right place to go. If I posted in the wrong place then I apologize to the MODs!!!
I dont think I was playing when dogs, cats, or mice were considered rare animals, so I wouldnt have known that. Thank you for clearing it up!! I will just wait patiently for the animal pens or as Mooboy stated and try to get them during Barter and Gift Events!!!

It's o.k. CandyDandy - I think most of us 'lose it' at one time or another over this or that or the other...especially when it concerns the loss of real $ or BB's.
But this is just a fun, imperfect game with many, many, M-A-N-Y things going on all at once. Rare animals are usually introduced a long time before becoming a breeding animal, and none of us know exactly when they might be chosen to become the next breeding animal, so it's not hard to do things just like you did. (I know I've done my share!) It helps to remember how happy you felt when you won them!...and let that joy be a recompense.
As for the bears you bought, they will be helpful to you so it's not really a loss in the long run - the more you have, the better you'll do at the breeding events...
Here's hoping your bears 'produce' a whole bunch of baby bears!!!

But I will still just wait from here on out, or do what Mooboy reminded me of and try the Barter and Gift Event!!

 

oooo, yes - it is exciting to win the stable you are trying for, isn't it?! I won a weasel...and was grinning from ear to ear!!
Nowwwww....if they would just offer that elusive Crocodile.....!!

 

I totally understand the feeling of frustration and annoyance. Been there too. What made this totally okay for me was the thought of all those players that for different reasons doesn't spend money on the game, also get the chance to have those not-rare-any-more pens. For me those players really are a huge part of what I like about this game. Taking an old rare item turning it to a normal one, helps lessen the gap between spenders and free players. And makes it easier for BP to introduce yet another BB item, not sure if that is a good thing or not

I think if you'd had your pens for longer, the feeling of wasting money would have been smaller. So next time it won't be as bad. Check out the grapevine thread as well, quiet often it gives you an idea of what is to happen in the nearest future. (Mind you it's rumours so they are not accurate, can even be wrong).

I too find myself sitting out rare items sale a lot, to see what is worth the money. And which one is easier to obtain from free farming. Bears could have gone the same way as the moose, suddenly gone from the shop and not in the mystery stables.

Better letting out steam, then let all boil inside. This is the chit chat section, in my view a perfect place for a polite and nice rant

I totally agree with you about the other players being able to get them, that was never my frustration!!

If you see the rare animal pen having yellow, orange or red upgrade ie butterfly, penguin, fox, reindeer. Chances are it is going to be a breeding animal in the future.

Alternatively like what Moraine said, keep a look out for grapevine rumor for next month's event

I got very lucky and acquired my OR bears through mystery stables done through events. Some of the rare animals that now have YL and OR upgrades are Eagles, Owls, Moles, Foxes Those are the ones I can think of off the top of my head

 

Eagle breeding That would have been something. Owls and foxes are in very high demand in the quests, so it's not impossible one of those are up next in about 6-12 months time. Then again cats and dogs were on of the least demanded animals, so who knows.

Usually early or later in Farmerama you can win almost everything offered with BBs. That's why I like farmerama so much you can get the same things as players who pay for the game. I am patient and I don't care about getting everything new right away so I can keep up with the game at my own pace without paying.

P.S. Thank you for starting this thread now I know I can buy bear habitats! I only had one habitat and one orange upgrade but I don't have enough bears for the breeding. I am actually thinking about selling bears than breeding them.
