Beaver not upgrade-able to orange (still having problem)

Read the answer to my prior (closed) thread, but I am afraid it does not apply.

The problem I had, am still having (double checked just now) was/is with an orange pen I made in the workshop, not the event-won pen. Further, I am not able to place it alone, so even if it were a combined pen, I am still having an issue. Also, I have now deleted the event-won pen, so unless there is something unusual about these pens, they logged in as a separate upgrade and original base. I can also say for sure it is not that I am using the wrong version.. I even went and bought a new base, just to check. I will leave my base pen out for a time, in case that will help you check this issue, but want to delete it shortly after to work on the event.

Also, as stated before, clearing cache, etc is not fixing the issue. (its now the 3rd day I am having trouble)

EDIT: To clarify further, I had several base pens and 2 orange pens, one from the event and one that I made in my workshop. I placed a base pen, but am not able to place the orange pen, either manually or using the builder function. (just tried again)

EDIT 2: I left my beaver pen out most of today, but have now removed it. Problem persists, but I am doing event.

EDIT3: Still no response... I have put out another beaver pen, tried to upgrade it again, this time in my magic meadow. Still no success. Note that this is now day 5 of the problem.

Again, just to reiterate (because the prior closed thread is now in the back pages) I put out the correct pen, the one that should be upgrade-able. I even bought a new base just to be sure there was not some glitch with previously purchased pens. I tried manual and with auto-harvester (builder). I have logged off, cleared my cache, etc multiple times. I WAS able to upgrade earlier. This is not, as SS indicated in my other thread, because the event-won pen was already upgraded, I even had an open slot, using the auto-harvester, more than once, to verify this.

Please at least acknowledge that my new message has been read. If no one is available to fix the problem or truly investigate it at this moment, I can understand. Just say that, please. If I had realized this would be anything other than a very simple problem, I never would have said to go ahead and close the other thread.

I apologise for the wait. You had 2 Orange II Beaver Dams in your inventory - one of them (the first one) was placed without a problem directly on the field, then the second one placed without problem on top of a basic pen, since only one of them was the upgraded one.

I have placed both of them successfully on your fields, removed them, so now you have 2 upgrades and 1 extra base stable - so you will have to place them on the basic Beaver Dams from now on.

OK, just checked again and now its upgrading just fine. I am still puzzled why it did not work for 5 days, but I doubt you can provide an answer.. and it really does not matter.

Unfortunately I am unable to explain it because it worked for me just fine from the first attempt . It was indeed weird since the Beaver Dam II: Orange were shown as 2 upgrades - but only one of them was an upgrade, the other one was already upgraded. So, they should have been confusing you by being displayed separately in the inventory.

Actually, it is more weird than that, because I was able to use one, but when I deleted all my pens and tried to auto-deploy using the builder and manualy, they did not work. All I can guess is that the upgraded pen got "stuck" as an upgrade (maybe because the even was still running or some such), even after the first deployment and removal, then when I tried to place it, the program did not know whether I was clicking on the upgrade or the already upgraded one.

Anyway, everything is working fine, the rest is just "curiousity" or "mere trivia" to me, so feel free to close the thread. Any additional issues will be just that -- brand new issues. Thank you very much. I know you have been very busy.

(especially since it looks like our lovely "friend" the spammer is back)
