Birthday Event Strategies

Still slow here, but nowhere near as slow as yesterday - I couldn't even play Renzo due to the lag. And I've just been asked for 8 cooking pots - seriously? And that's level 1 - I'm dreading the higher levels especially since with the introduction of the new product quests that's where all my products have gone .

 

okay Miss Bunnilyn is annoying. She wanted 16 ostrich eggs. I cancelled and now shes back wanting 13.... ostrich eggs

She better not ask again for them in 2 hours....

In what world is 7 Pine cones equivalent to 14 Koi? or 520 of a level 91 crop?

 

Bunnilynn wanted 6 cooking pots - I said no and now she wants 13 ostrich eggs I have one and they're always really expensive. Guess I'll try again

 

I keep waiting (hoping) for an announcement that there was a big mistake with Bunnilyn, and that the requirements were supposed to be 1 (koi, etc.) instead of 13.

 

I'm level 89, and for the first level of the event I've been asked for 116 raspberries, 5 almonds, 2 beavers and 12 honey

I'm going to attempt the whole event. My plan is to use the crops I grow to push ahead as fast as possible on the customers I'm going to be most picky about, and hoard as many clocks as possible for the end of the event. I've ranked them as follows:
Most difficult by far: PRODUCTS!!! I'm hoping with clocks and regular resets to get buy mostly donating eggs, milk, honey and goat milk. NOT donating any cookware thank you!
Second most difficult: ANIMALS. I'm quite low on some animals and the prices for some (like donkeys) are pretty high. Chickens are always a bad thing to draw as it tends to require a stupid number. I should get buy with very few resets.
Pretty easy: CROPS. I'll be resetting if I draw a low level crop which requires vast numbers, but there are a lot of mid and high range crops and I have decent stocks of most of them.
Very easy: TREE FRUIT. I will probably not need to reset at all for this group.

I'm looking forward to this event. It's nice to see a new mechanism (though it could definitely be better balanced)

 

This farm is level 84
requesting 120 Artichokes, 7 Olives, 2 Donkey, 11 Timber


For my other farm at level 88.

Request is for:
569 Dentallaria (I had none, just bought 600 at the market)
5 Almonds
2 Donkey
8 Cooking Pots (I may reset, as I only have 30, part of which I just bought at the market)

I hope the other levels don't ask for more of these same items!

 

I planted hazelnuts and onions last night and coffee beans on the island, I could not activate the clouds buff for the drop items, but the drop items were plenty, each field gave me 20-23 batteries, my requirements at level 91 were 116 barley, 7 olives, 2 ostriches, and 12 honey, so I had barely and ostriches in stock, the second level ask for 106 spelt, 5 almonds, 2 beavers, and did not finish the first step of the fourth to see what's next for the products, so far very reasonable demands, but from what I saw from other players, the products part worries me since there is cooking forges, ostrich eggs, koi fish, and wood, it can be done but needs good organizing.

 

I haven't paid close enough attention so my question may have already been discussed....

Does anyone know, the BB amount asked for to finish a request, does it go down after giving what one does have and therefore making it cost less to finish?

My other farm that is only level 78 and the requirements are :

Iris - 122
Pine Cones - 7
Beavers - 2
Koi - 14

How is asking for the same amount of products for 2 very different levels considered equal ???
The last several events have clearly been geared towards higher level players. It's no wonder so many lower level players get frustrated by such high demands for products and breeding animals, and just give up, or even worse, leave the game.

For Pepsishot: you can't donate partially, it has to be done one time all the requirements for the step, so my guess the BB amount does not change.

I finished the first step for the fourth guest, 12 honey, and the there was 11 woods, I did it then luckily 12 honey again which I have plenty, so farmers, if there is a part you cant do, cancel and you may get the thing you have stock again.

 

Cancelled my 14 koi and got 8 cooking pots, of which I cancelled again and got 8 cooking pots again. *sigh*

Cancelled again and was given 13 ostrich eggs. Two more cancels for 8 cooking pots and finally 12 honey. Not looking forward to the next levels for products.

 

Wonderful - I finally get to make my own CAC and what do you know, an event that will defeat me. So the question is do I do it or do I cut my losses since I only really want the cloud row and sell products for a tidy profit?

 

Ok, that's what I needed to know. I so far have not had all of any of them so I wasn't sure how it worked yet. Thanks!

Bunnilyn want ostrich eggs which I have none of, so reset and now need 12 honey of which I have 1400
others want 2x ostriches, 7x pinecone (got 16k) and 186 cauliflower, so that stage looks easy

 

Bunnilyn Bunroe seems to cycle the same three required products.. (at least for me @ LvL 89)
it has been ostrich eggs, honey, cooking pots.

7-8 cooking pots

so not sure canceling/skipping the task to wait for the next requirements will be beneficial.

This is not good news for me. I hope this will not be the case although I fear you may be correct as these are the same 3 items it has asked me for.

 

So far animals:
2 ostriches
2 peacocks (better get the pens out I suppose)
2 beavers

Crops it's asking for 197 winter jasmine - better grow some of that quick too!
Tree fruit is 5 almonds.
So the only issue is those cooking pots, which thanks to the "fixed" rune now take ages to make.
