    I'm in!
I love hidden object games and I like some of the prizes in there! I finished the last one so I'm optimistic about this one as well. I like that instead of it being 13 days across the mainland (The Great Chase) that we can use the whole farm and get it done in less time. This version requires less plants per game.

I will put out long crops as I have crops longer than trees. Had I not, I would blanket my farm in trees. I will leave all storage facilities out along with a few workshops I have out for some products I'm low on.

Good luck to anyone doing this event and for those who are sitting out, enjoy working on quests or building stock in the barn :)

I'm in and I'll play this one as I usually do when drops seem critical. I will keep Menageries, Arboretums, and trees on my Magic Meadow and Crystal Falls, I do not like to mess up with that... -.-
Plant crops on other lands and see where I get. Adjust if more crops are needed or if more drops are needed. Repeat.

Thanks Sebe for the thread and numbers!

Six days ago I wrote in the Polar Bear Feedback thread: Everything in these three connected events is heading towards the Extravaganza disaster. "Celebration" and "Party" seem to have a very egoistic meaning to the Farmerama Game Team.

Wish I was wrong at the time but ..

Aiming for both CRs and givers only:

    To play 100 games = 8800 crops/day and 624 drops/day
    8800 crops/day, using all 6 fields = 1467 crops/day/field and 104 drops/day/field

With everything cleared out, let's say each field = 200 1x1 plots (in fact some fields have less plots!)

1 1x1 plot with CAC applied yields 3 crops and 1 for replant
1 field, 200 1x1 plots yields 600 crops and 200 crops for replant per harvest

To get 1467 crops/day/field, every field needs to be harvested 2.5 times per day -equal to harvesting 15 full fields in total per day-
To get 104 drops/day/field, every field needs to provide 42 drops per harvest (1 in 5 plots = 1 drop)

OK, this is the rough calculation, without drop amount from initial harvest, IF ALL 6 fields and ALL available plots are filled and harvested with the event crop from day 1 on. But we start with 10 seeds only and need about 1200 to fill up all fields... that's quite a few extra harvests…
I don't want to imagine the struggle if a player isn't able to nuke (using water + manure + Super Grow + Suzy Super Grow) the crop.. and how many of us will be willing to clear all and everything just to have a chance to reach the CRs?

Hmm, sadly, with such insane high requirements I don't see any festivity in this event.
I'll consider the alternative; the prize on Poo might go sky high.

Haha... BP is really ..... one of a kind:

    from the FAQ:
    • Reloading/ Crashes:
      • If a player reloads the game or the Game crashes, the previously active mini-game will be restarted upon returning to the event layer with a time penalty of 20 seconds.
Hello BP... do you want to make the players now responsible, when your game fails????

I had an interesting experience with one event I failed on. I had carnation on big plots, one field with comfort fields and one with normal. Harvested both 3 times. All 6 harvested yielded 44 drops. Makes me think there was a cap on the drop. As I've understood it, Comfort should grant you more drops. Not enough data to really draw a conclusion, but enough to make me suspicious.

Anyway, yes I am going to give this a good try. Love timed games that doesn't require my pc to sound like a jumbo jet taking off. I have some grey matter that is in mint condition - never been used, and still in their wrapping. Could use a couple of those.

There is a cap on the drops.
You can only get one drop (of the same kind) out of each field.
You had 44 normal plots and got 44 drops, an output of 100%.
You had 44 comfort plots and got 44 drops, the same output of 100%.
You cannot go higher than that :)
In such an event only using smaller plots would allow you to make more drops.

Thank you Sebe for the thread and the numbers. :) I really hope BP decides to be generous with the drops, but at least we can gift them this time. For anyone needing a bit of help, the SOS thread is posted. Good luck to all, whatever you decide to do. :music:

Hi Moraine, this is an interesting comparison. Can I ask what you mean by 'one with normal'. Is that a field of 1 x 1s with carnations?

Sadistic (insert your favorite expletives).... This Event is pure torture... One of the best appealing things about Farmerama is it didn't require you to spend hours playing the game with a fair amount of personal satisfaction after completing Events... Clearly BP is changing tactics, especially with this type of Event as it takes HOURS upon HOURS just to complete... And as mentioned from others, the CR's reward is complete crap.. It truly feels like there is no incentive to play this Event...

"We're gonna intentionally drive you insane after forcing you to play this ridiculous Event. Then, after dragging you through hours of torture with little to no possibility of completing each timed game within the Event, which BTW you still might not complete, we're gonna give you the crappiest reward possible for your personal efforts... ....but its gonna be soooo fun!"

But I digress... 1 X 1's will always give you maximum reward, drops/crop production... Factually, anything else is a waste of your time. Comfort Fields are a joke, quite literally created just to make players feel good because they didn't have time to play the game. ( I realize that comment will upset some of you, but......its the truth.)

So! I suppose I'm gonna call in sick from work for the next 5 days, lube up and take deep breaths.

    Pain meds anyone? Yes? No?

I'll go all out on this here on spots, tho I won't tear out my favorite trees unless it looks like it's absolutely necessary. I completed both of the other events, so would feel like wasted effort if I don't do my best to finish here too, so can finish Ingrid. This is the only farm that will get full attention, since it was the only one to complete both other events, tho I'll do as much as can without stressing on bear and mini-me. Not expecting many magnifying glass other than what win, as only have 6 pens out, 3 on main, 3 on Baha, but hopefully will get the hang of the game quickly enough to not need them much. :p At least my SG is back up where I'm comfortable with the level, since was able to save everything won most of the month. Hoping I won't need it. This year's birthday event seems a little more difficult than in the past, but I'll reserve judgment until fully up and going and have a better idea on drops, etc. Have to say, I'm a little disappointed, tho. We've gotten some kind of birthday gift from BP every year I've played, but I haven't seen anything that mentions one for this year so far (unless, of course, I missed it, which is entirely possible since I excel at looking right at things and not seeing them xD). Good luck to those trying the event, and thank you Sebe for the numbers! :)

The benefit of comfort fields, at least for me, is when you're low on time and need a high number of drops. Achieving 44 guaranteed drops instantly (with the right buffs and refinements, plus water and poo, and the flower cloud row) allows me to get the drops I need in minutes rather than hours, and it uses far less SG than nuking an entire field of 1x1s. I don't seem to need to use them much any more, thankfully (knock on wood), but it's nice to have the option if I am desperate for drops.;)

Sure. Just like the polar event when I was getting 12 off each field...a failure. I scraped by and finished it but not the other two; the resources for the temple were too much for anyone starting from scratch. Now this humongous crop and drop
You could do it with No meals, bathroom, laundry, housecleaning or work outside the home.
90+K is alot people. Those drops make me suspicious. I don't trust those numbers will appear on our fields but the games have me concerned about finding anything hidden and the max 913 drops a day? it's like: goodbye stock of supergrow and suzy's.
I'm so on the fence on this.

I did consider stocking up the freezer with meals for Hubby and taking myself off to a little hotel with superfast broadband for the duration. I could get reception to wake me at appropriate times for harvesting!
However, I will try for the first cloud row and see how far I get with other bits. I find setting a low expectation takes the pressure off and I often amaze myself by finishing completely although the crops numbers make me think not this time. Good luck everyone.

Still trying, Neddy. Done all that you have said & much more. May be it is the Bug point like you said. Must be some sort of alien planning to distrupt Farmerama's Birthday Party. xD:p Where is Superman, Spiderman, Batman, Captain Marvel ?????

Harvester, cloudrow buffs for increasing drop rate all gone waste.

    edit*
Harvested only 2 fields. Moving across fields is very difficult & refreshing for howie donuts is much more tough.

    Didn't know this. Thank you
Not comfort, but still 2x2 (small is 1x1)
Yes, was trying to stretch what I had.
That was the plan, but the normal fields granted just as much, so there was no benefits of using comfy fields only 1h longer. Which meant if I had my wits about me I could have had close to 2 carnation harvests in the same amount of time. Dooohhh. Now I know.

So sorry for farmers who are having trouble playing :-(

I got 717 initial drops, and so far, the drop rate using 2x2 with all the goodies, and oats and grapes to fit in around that, has given me over 1000. I have played six games. The three scenes that repeat from last time are almost exactly the same items. The three new scenes are quite good. The garden one, in my opinion, is the toughest. The others are possibly easier than the original three.

Here's to speedy resolution for those having problems, and happy farming to all!

thanks matselleste for give out information for the scenes.
Happy to hear that the 3 “old ” scenes are exactly same as previous event!
Just hope that the information of new 3 scenes will come to EN forum like
    the great chase.
