Birthday Prep

When I was down to my last 3 blue gifts, I milled green instead! Awk!! I was still able to finish with hundreds of drops left over. I hope that those who were low on drops earlier were able to get enough. I wish I could pass on my extra! Good luck to those still finishing up!

 

Due to being gone all day Saturday, I am a day behind on this event and wasn't sure I would be able to finish in time. However, I was able to catch up by doing one round with SG, plus activating a 100% harvest bonus I got from a crate, and I won a +1 on the wheel this morning, so I only need one more harvest for 5 more green gifts and I'm done.

I hear you. I would have easily been able to harvest multiple times from my android phone Saturday, but without a laptop, and no internet even if I had the computer, no dice. I find it more than a little annoying that with 2 years lead time the best BP could come up with for game continuity was Unity and/or the downloadable client. I chose Farmerama in the first place precisely because it didn't have to be downloaded.

 

This farm turned out to be the bugaboo. Finished the teenager farm yesterday afternoon. Stayed up until midnight to get in one more harvest last night on DB's farm. That got me the last nine blue boxes. Then I got up at 4 a.m. and harvested the last two fields of the event crop (had plenty of drops, as I had put in a long overnight crop night before last). That got me the last two purple gifts. This farm has no green goo and no propellers left. Period. None. Nada. So now I'm gonna go look at the fairytale, er FAQ that's up for the next event.

 

it is sometimes not reachable to complete the mini events without the help of bonusses. you then sit with a game not fully operational and layers using more time to unfreeze the game or reload the game. The ever present turning daisy also do not help when you want to gain time. No wonder more and more players are stop playing the game. I have previously played under another name and started a new account to check out some problems. I must admit the new account have much less problems but is it worth losing more than four years of building your farm with assetts?

 

Oh how the F5 button has become my new best friend. The loading daisy of death met its match when the techs restored the F5 button's functionality to a full reset without having to sign in.

At this point, I generally can get through a full farm's harvest and replanting with only one refresh. Usually, somewhere near the mid-point, I get either the loading daisy of death OR I get the "Hah! I'm not loading this field!" never-ending sheep of loading. So the F5 button makes it all right as rain once again and onward ho! I go.

I also have a fairly new laptop with lots and lots of RAM and am playing in the Unity Client (trust me folks, it's faster!)

Okay, now back to the topic at hand: The event. Yesterday I decided to use my precious saved up bonuses to give my farms a leg up. I'm over half way through the event. I think I'll make it. This farm is lagging a bit (cuz I goofed on the first day and missed a harvesting). And the teenager farm is seriously short on guitars. Other than that, I think we're fine. I put long crops on the other fields overnight so hoping that helps the teenager farm's shortage.

Off to bring in the harvest and start the day...
