Breeding - How many Animals and PF needed??

Sorry if someone has figured this out before, but Im just curious as the numer of animals it takes to make breeding animals and how much power feed.

for example for a level 1 breed, we need 4 base animals and 2 power feed. I know my figures cannot be correct, can someone who is good with numbers help me with this? Or if there has been a thread about it before let me know where it is.

I know it can not possibly take over 65,000 animals and 30,000 power feed to make a level 8 breeding animal, I have to be doing something wrong, but I keep coming up with same numbers.

Mathematically your chart appears to be correct. (You may want to edit the last level and make the 4 an 8.)

In practice, presently and in the past, there is/has been no possibility of ever using 65,536 base animals in order to reach a level 8 breeding animal. It cannot be done. There WILL be skips in the breeding process regardless of whether or not one breeds during a Baby Boom or not and regardless of whether one has breeding rungs unlocked on the tree of wisdom or not.

 

Wow, I realize we get skips, even if it takes half or a third of that amount, just WOW LOL, Thanks for checking for me it just seems unreal. Also during baby booms we seem to get part of the animals back even if we get no skips, like if it takes 4 base animals to get a lvl 1, if we dont get a skip, we will usually get some base animals back.

I guess I was trying to figure out, whether to buy lower level breeding animals for CC's and start the process in the middle or so, and also how to go about figuring out if its worth it to sell breeding animals, I think I will just go with the flow as I have been and not even think about numbers, I made my mind up along time ago that the breeding quests I will most likely never finish. LOL . I either sell them for something that needs to be done for the EV value like the Menagerie quests, etc. or I get broke and sell like crazy during baby boom/breeding events. I usually make many millions in CCs and is how I stock up other things that I dont grow.

 

To go further with a little accuracy one must work with the numbers.

Okay, so you generated revenue from sales in order to purchase what you needed.

Now I can play with you a little: Fine, you sold something, but did you make a profit from the sales? If you think you made a profit and refuse to work with the numbers, I know you cannot begin to tell me how much profit you made (or loss).

Always breed when there is a Baby Boom event. That's my only strategy for breeding because these numbers are unreal!
