Bring back the Steam Room...

Given some recent events, this little place where we could commiserate with each other and rant just a tad is sorely missed.
While I'm sure BP saw it as a place we all went just to complain, many times we were able to lighten the mood with jokes, make some feel better about what was upsetting them and to be truthful, one just felt better having others who understood their frustration.

 

I was not here when the steam room was active, but every site where I have been that has had something of the sort has wound up removing it because things just get too easily out of hand. Either you have the same "family friendly"'"play nice" rules (which sort of eliminates the point) or it becomes a nightmare for mods deciding what is and is not OK. Even without that, you always have a much greater risk of overly inappropriate posts that would quickly make this site not family friendly. There is always a chance of that now, but its much rarer.

Also, there ARE both a feedback section and a chitchat section. Myself.. if I am going to complain I want it to go to the people concerned, not the "public at large". Tthe truth is we can relay the same information politely as in steam.... and it doesn't hurt us to do so. I say this even though I have been chastised myself and have not always felt it was justified. The jokes and humor to which you referred would likely be tolerated in chitchat, just as an example. Its my opinion that too many people see the internet as a place where they can just post, without thinking, things they would NEVER say in person. A little of that goes a very, very long way... and there are plenty of true steam-type, adult conversation sites already for that purpose.

So, sorry, but I have to disagree.

 

Yes thank you, Steam room is a must, let me scream when i need to.the last last thing i need is someone that thinks my problem is there's if u have nothing to do with your time is to get into my problem go away u dont help. No one wants your help, it's a way to vent when u spend the time it to do this, were all nuts, the last thing i need is for some fool thing i need there help so get a life quit burning down the market and giving everything away. GO AWAY
