Broken ingame mail

Hi Team,

I've been trying to send ingame mail for months from my main farm. It will almost never work. The only thing I can send are the suzy flying mails.
On rare occasions the reply does work, but most of the times I write a message or response, click send, and it just disappears. Poof, gone, and I can start over.

Copy paste doesn't work either, so every time I lose a mail I can really start over.
Yesterday I tried helping a returning player, and again I could only send a flying suzy mail.

Could you look into why I can't send anything?

Hello farmingfreebird,

I can see no reason why there should be issues sending IGM's. Does this happen over different browsers and also with the Standalone Client?
I have cleared your server cache. You can also try clearing your browser cache and cookies to see if that helps.

I've just done the cache clearing, (can't believe I forgot about that!) but it didn't help. I just tested with three attempts. Two on chrome browser and one on firefox, and all three disappeared on me again.

I can't download the client. My operating system is Linux Mint 20.1 Cinnamon version 4.8.6

I used to be able to send mails but, for at least several months now it's like this. But I've been using Linux for years, so I can't really blame it on a system change yet.
And the weird thing is, none of my farms can send mail but the newest two. (I think, I haven't tested all of my 15 farms yet, as they're mostly sleepers now.)

 

I just tested three of my other farms. I can mail to my main, but not to for instance my good farming friend puppiesnponies.
FarmEleven Id: 51302451, 2 attempts. to myself went fine, to puppiesnponies it dissappeard.

From my main; farmingfreebird to farmeleven also sends fine...??? I don't get it at all!

Twee attempts on each farm... I can mail to my own farmingfreebird, but not to puppies or sassy. Those dissappear. poof.

Edit to add: First farm where my message did go through with confirmation window and all, to puppies. Don't know if it's a fluke:

Edit to add: it's not my "old" farms. One of the other older ones can mail just fine. I wonder if farmingfreebird, FarmEleven, Gwen40 and JudgeMental are all on the same server or something. ? I can't figure out any other common thing.

 

You can try deleting some older messages if you have a lot of saved messages to see if that helps. Have you tried using the Standalone Client?

As I explained above, I cannot download the client, as I am on LINUX.

However, when I first came back to this game, I tried it anyway, I couldn't get it to work.

So, today I tried again, .....
It failed spectacularly. It's meant for windows, not LINUX. I don't know how to get that to work.f (tried with wine in linux)

Thus, I'm playing through browser windows.



Ps: There were 6 messages in my outbox, old ones. and 17 in my inbox. Now all deleted. ...

Edit to add: just tried to mail. One to puppiesnponies went through with confirmation window, the second one to Sassy22 dissappeared again.
I have gremlins. Or maybe sheeplins, or Tarsiers....

I can ask the Game Team if they have any further suggestions as I don't know why you are having this issue. Since the IGMs work intermittently, please try to refresh your browser before you want to send a message to see if that helps.

I just tried your suggestion. Refresh, and then immediately mail. It disappeared again.
