buff crate

Just purchased buff crate . I got a 100% harvest bonus. I don't think it
it is fair that we have to use our diamond slot. If you are going to give us something like this you should add an extra diamond slot..

Just checked with Mod in 'General Issues' Farmers.Almanac gave a detailed answer.

100% Harvest bonus does use the diamond buff slot. It will replace CAC but will give 100% on everything, not just crops.

With the bonus:
1x1 fields will give 4 seeds just as CAC does (normal 2, bonus 2)
1x2 fields will give 6 seeds (normal 3, bonus 3)
2x2 fields will give 10 seeds (normal 5, bonus 5)

Orange/Red stables will yield 4 animals.

Trees will yield 8 fruits.

 

Compared to the 100% harvest bonus won from farmwheel spins (8 BB max price and doesn't require a slot), this 20 BB one is a rip off.

 

Although I am following a hands off behavior on this offer, I would like to point out that:
1. You may activate the buff when all your items are ready for collection and
2. You may extend the effective duration of the buff by 30% with a Pinkie Pie.

The main issue is how to set up your farm in order to make the most out of this buff.
Personally I would not use such a buff on crops unless they were in comfort fields.
Anything pink or neon in the stable section would also be nice.

 

For me, the 100% look worth only if
It is like the wheel prize, can add up with CAC, yes, it give 100% on other like trees and stable etc,
And it cost 20BB, whereas, you might need to spin alot to get a +100% on wheel. And it also can
control the usage on your own.
However, the prize is come by random, just like spin the wheel,
So, BP spin off those great prize and let players buy in 20BB each, and it let you to gamble if you are
lucky enough to get the jackpot +200% 24 hr!
It is just another party spin but each spin need 20BB,, to buy it or not really on your own choice
For me, I am very happy that I buy the jack O’ gift pack, It is much better than this!
I found that the 4.99 Euro is worth as it can place in pet ground and when to harvest it is on my
own choice, the buff +2 crop last for 10 hr, had 20 charges.
And effect is on all crop(spooky, main, baha, and most important: event crop as well )
This is really helpful if you need just extra one or two harvest of event crop to finished before event
end. Today, I can finished circus event is just in this case!
The other charges I will keep untill next time I very need to get more crop.

 

The only time I can really see this being worth it is if you're working hard to complete an event and won't be able to finish it without extra help.

100% bonus seems good, but when you think about it it's really only 1 extra day of harvesting, give or take. Maybe 2 if you can squeeze two main harvests out of it. That's not to say it's not useful or helpful, but if someone asked me to pay 20BB to get 1-2 days closer to the next goal, it seems an exorbitant price.
