Bugs Unleashed

I have bugs all over my farm - Upside down stables trees and givers! I was expecting MM and harvesting for Easter event when I got home tonight. NOT BUGS! BP caught us on this. Lol!

So it looks like drops happen only on the mainland fields. Since I couldn't farm today - I planted two fields with 2x2 long term crops and have one field with stables and trees. Some stables and trees sprinkled on the others. I have 101 droprats with out knowing to plan!.

Two givers - Which do I give? Nests or droprats?

 

Mixed feelings on this one. I would have rather been prepared but i'm just going to do what I can. Hopefully we will see something about if there are any rewards But I will say all these things running at once makes my comp s-l-o-w.......

 

Mindy, like Moraine said it is the giant bug. Sorry, I was not clear enough. The little box turns off or on the little bugs at the edge of the field. Those are what we Swat.
Let's hope the Droprat will be kind to us all!!

Thank You Moraine and joanc...I clicked the big bug...bottom left on the progress bar, and my fields are back to normal.

 

You know if I wasn't so busy with family coming for Easter and just the whole big holiday thing this would probably have struck me different. Right now I can't deal and just want to turn off the bugs. Maybe by Monday when I'm back to normal I'll see if I can play catch up. Good luck to everyone else participating!

 

Where is the progress bar? I still can't figure out how to turn them off.

All my field have animals and workshops. I'm not tearing up everything for bugs.

EDIT: Never mind. I figured out how to turn them off. My problem was I could not see the Polar Bear, because I have so many animals & workshops out.

I looked at the gifts on the progress bar - 5 GB & 5 stables make this event doable, but I'm still not tearing up my fields on the mainland. Too bad, we can't grow them on Baha.

 

If there is anything that I really don't like it's creepy crawly pesky bugs...... and I normally don't rest until their gone! My fields aren't upside down but every time I click on something new bugs come crawling out and scattering to hide.... oh my GOODNESS.... I just may take a vacation till they go away. Something curious though..... after harvesting my three main fields I already have 59 droprats! lol Amazing..... right!

Ok, now mains are upside down and i got the bugs that appear for the prizes to go away..... but not the scattering bugs..... Oh My Goodness!

Got my fields right side up.... I can stop feeling nauseous!!!

The Ice bear..... where is he.... I haven't seen him since I first came on tonight and how do I feed him lol?

 

How to start the event.

Candy Chocolate is given free to us. There is a polar bear in the bottom of our screen. Unless we feed that polar bear with the candy chocolate, we will not see the progress bar with steps and we will not be able to start the game. So first feed the polar bear at the bottom of farm. Then we will recieve the sticker & a prize. I got 2 copper wonder stables. Our field will turn upside down. Our event will then start. The event icon will appear near the breeding hut. We can then start swatting the bugs by the fly swatter we make in the mill. It will be the bugs which appear in our field and we have to swat it with fly swatter. The first polar bear is an exception. Only the bugs will be appearing thereafter and we need to swat them with mill product. In order to turn your field back to normal from upside down, go to the event progress bar, click the bug at the bottom of it (there will be a slash across it), your fields will be back to normal.

So to activate the game, feed the polar bear at the bottom of your screen with the first free candy choclates & activate the game.

Event crops & drops are from the main fields alone, I think. Planting & collecting drops have no link to feeding of candy chocolate to polar bear. We need to make 60 fly swater. 13500 event crop & 780 event drops to finish the event.

I have shooed 7 bugs now(the droprat is great), and I have not laughed so hard in a long time.
To get the full effect you will want to turn on the Topsy Turvy Bug. Each new trick shows up when you shoo a bug, and then goes away after shooing another one. I am stuck on 7(until crops are ready) so I Had to turn the Big Bug off.
You will see why!

 

I'm on level 5 now on 2 of my farms so far wow is all I can say

 

Well that caught me by suprise, Im glad I had long crops and workshops out ready to harvest when I got on.

I will give it a go, but thats 3 events at same time with 2 donatable items, and we have another event starting on Wednesday that will require some sort of prep.

Theres always one thats not happy haha

My fields are still upside now, it makes me feel sick!
Turned off bugs but they still come every time I go to a new field. Is that right?

 

@AniE , in the Bugs Unleashed event's progress bar you need to click on the big bug on the bottom that has the red circle around it and a red line thru it to turn your fields back to normal.

If you unchecked the box under the fly on the progress bar... it will shut off the bugs that show up on your fields to Shoo away, but it doesn't turn off the scattering bugs that appear every time we change fields and navigate around. We are stuck with those

 

Go to the event window and click the bug with the slash. You field will become upright & won't turn upside down.

Am I mistaken but do we recieve a flyswat for 1st reward, if thats the case then 1 less to mill.

You're not mistaken @phoenixboy12, one less Flyswatter to mill... 225 less event crops and 13 less drops needed!

These bugs not nice when you swat them, I wont spoil suprise for those just starting. but GRRRRRR
