Butterfly Garden Strategy

Excellent advice, Peeps. mini me made over 40 million CCs on 500 butterflies selling at roughly 81,000-86,000, so it's definitely worth selling if you can't/aren't going to do the event. Prices have dropped a bit now, down in the 55,000 range, but that's still really good, and usually prices roller coaster several times during breeding events. I'd list more, but only have 20 left, lol. Was a great relief to see them sell, as I was down to my last million CCs on that farm . I'd be more disappointed that I can't complete the event there, but there was no way I could get even close, so I'll save my PF for neons next month, and hope I can compete successfully in that. spots did the side bars, was easy - just closed my eyes and pushed enter . Now hoping for good skips tomorrow to get as far as I feel like going on main bar. I'd like the CR, as I agree with pnp and others that even level 1 breeding animals are appreciated, but I'm not going to use all my PF to get it.

Oh, and I agree, I don't care much for the pink pen either, too much like the pink bee. I was really looking forward to a beautiful pink with butterflies. I'm not much of a yellow person, but I do love the yellow upgrade, makes a beautiful contrast with the blue flutter bugs.

Hi peeps, sorry not been posting here lately. As I been busy on Trip to Scotland, Looking at a Venue for our wedding.

I agree the rewards are not to our liking for this event. My stare is going go be different due to Butterflies selling very High in my markets now at 95000 cc for 1 butterfly

Firstly to make a killing selling my Butterflies while pies are sky high. On Sunday try snap up Butterflies at cooled down prices. Plus snap up any breeding Butterflies in the market where ever you can. They will be sold in seconds

I won't be donating to either side bar due to very high market prices. With CC I have made buy stuff to work on other Quests for better rewards
I will Grow three full fields of Butterlies thiughout the whole weekend

Will have a Busy weekend too. Thank God to Unity conversion of Farmerama, to be able to maintain my farm via Smart Phone

Tips for buying colored butterflies in the market:

When the colored butterflies start appearing in the market you'll need to be fast and/or lucky to get them. Seing all the butterflies on the same page is an advantage. You can get them there by having "sort by level" on in the market, then type "e" in the search bar. Go to the last breeding animals for sale (beavers) then backtrack until you get to the butterflies. You should now have this view:

Clicking the "Breeding" button will update the page with any new offers, so you don't have to leave the page and come back to see if there's anything new. Now all you need is patience and a fast reaction when the "Select" button turns green and some CC in the bank

sglick - I finally installed an app on my smart phone. It's called "time buddy" - now I don't have to do math to figure out when things start/end. Plus I know what time it is where friends/family are so I know when not to call, etc.

Would unity work on tablets/phone as well ? I know other games that have chosen HTML 5, have decided not to extend their programming to browsers for smartphones/tablets (can I write phablets for short ?)

I have 158 butterflies, and a nice stash of PF. Decided to skip sidebars. Since Mir mentioned something about comparing I decided to see if I can finish the event to CR with those 158 butterflies. Well, it's going to be a tad bit more as I still have butterfly domes out and about. I'll keep count on how much PF I use. Oh and I also opened the runes, so I have 1 gothic as well. Experiment will start when BBD starts in about 1,5h.

I have a Breeding Buff question?

The Pink Cake buff that gives 1000% EP for breeding. Is it worth using? I would have to deactivate my EM to do so. I'm not even aware of how many EP's we get during breeding to know if 1000% Increase is a good thing or not.

What does the community think?

 

Each breeding = 50 EP, with Pink Cake (1000% for 8 hrs) = 500 EP.

Other breeding EP boosters are the following CRs:
* Peak Bragging - 1000% for 5 hrs
* Wild About Animals - 500% for 5 hrs
* Bunny Love - 350% for 1 hr

Combine all prior to harvesting the shack and keep smiling

 

Thanks Haba, unfortunately, I do not have the others. They must have come out last year while I was gone.

Since I only have the cake, I will just keep my EM this time.

 

My 50 breedings of base Butterflies gave me all but 4 Yellow Swallowtails and 3 Monarchs! I already have the Gothic Butterfly so I will be finished very shortly! So far that will be 300 Butterflies and 75 PFs! I consider that pretty good!

Be back with the rest of my results shortly!

Edit: Got the required 3 Monarchs (plus 4 extras!) and 2 Swallowtails so doing 6 more breedings to finish the event I hope.
LOL! Got a skip to a Sapphire from my Monarchs!

Done with 86 breedings (172 PF!). Yippee!

Late edit: forgot about the PF I won which makes me about even on PF. Result!

 

I loaded my shed with 132 breedings.

528 Butterflies, 264 PF gave me all I need to donate to the event except the Gothic butterfly and will redeem 50 Stars for final donation and be done. I skipped the side bars in favor of selling the butterflies and shimmery powder.

 

OMG! I'm in shock!!!! - Almost speechless, but I will do my best to overcome this.

My 1st round of 120 or whatever number that is. I think, I got all the top bar requirements. PLUS, 2 Gothic & a Virtual.

Yippe - Dippy - Do - Doh - Me and Tygerlilly are doing the Happy Dance!!!

Update - I am one Sapphire short. I can easy get this. Now the big decision. Do I waste my supplies getting the side bars or go for the greed by selling. Decisions decisions decisions!!!

I had 900 in the barn and 35 powder. judging from Habablala I'm not in a good way for stock! and thanks for the update..it does look a better reward and easier time getting them. I did a first round of 40 and the skips were 54 Blue, 8 Monarch and 2 Swallowtail. not great is it? after 108 I'll try again and see if the Gothic shows up. I hope I can make it through with those powder.

 

Oh boy, I am loving this event! At over 80,000 cc for a butterfly right now, I will sell, sell, sell. If I decide to opt in to this event, I am okay with waiting. I will buy back butterflies from all the leftovers after breeding remorse kicks in towards the end of this event and the prices bottom out again. Not sure why anyone is buying at these prices, but I am delighted and appreciative that there are so many different ways to enjoy this game! I had pre-stocked the love shack with 132 = 528 butterflies. My results (with baby boom and the tree bonus): 190 butterflies, 176 Blue, 43 Monarch, 2 Yellow, No Sapphire, No Gothic, 1 Red, No Virtual and No Cyber. It doesn't feel like a good result but with all the ccs from sales, I am still a very happy camper.
