Can't donate to event

Happy Sunday, lovely mods! I'm having trouble with the event layer. When I click on a selection to choose which level to donate goods to (silver/gold/diamond), the totem comes up (with skeleton cookies), but no items are shown, just numbers (999+/180). This happens no matter which level I choose. Then, if I click on the select button for a totem, the totem goes away, the illustration goes away, and I am unable to donate. If I then leave the event layer, I return to my field, where Shaun runs endlessly at 100% and I have to refresh my game. This happens every time. I am playing on the standalone client. I have refreshed, refreshed, refreshed 'til I'm so fresh it's scary, but to no avail. Is this a common problem with the event, or am I the only one experiencing it? And can you please instruct me as to how to fix it? Thank you.

edit: I've just loaded the game on my browser, and it shows up correctly, but it is soooo sloooowwwww! I'll try to do the event from here for now, but hopefully the issue with the client will be able to be solved.

You can try deleting the downloadable client from your computer and then reinstalling it to see that improves. You can also try lowering the graphic quality and turning off animations if not previously done to see if that helps also.

You can also try using a different browser and clearing cache and cookies on your browser to see if that helps.

Thank you shooger, too much trouble to delete/reinstall, lol. Graphic quality and animations are at recommended settings already. May try switching browsers next time I log in that way, but have donated as far as possible for now, so will wait until have more crops.
