Care Packs - Can't Use

I have the same question. I have milled many care packs and I can't use them. I do not see anywhere where it says that there are certain conditions to using them. Can someone explain how they work? Also, if there is a restricted use for them can someone show me where it says that? I would never have milled them if I couldn't use them. Thank you!!

The care packs are one of 3 options to be used for donation. You craft them in the Baha mill. They are the favorite choice for each animal and therefore, provide 3 steps, whereas, the other 2 options allow 2 steps. They can be donated like any of the other requested items as long as you have enough milled for each step.

Is the animal grayed out or the care packs grayed out? If the entire animal's donation box is grayed out and there are 3 meerkats above, it means that animal is resting and you will need to work on a different animal.

If the individual care pack option is grayed out, it means you don't have enough for that step.

The individual care pack is greyed out. I have 4 already milled and they are just sitting there. I can not use them. Shouldn't I be able to use the 4 I have milled?

 

Which animal are you trying to donate a care pack for and what level are they on?

 

Well at the moment they are all on level 9 and I used up all my drops that I got this morning harvesting. But I milled the Giraffe care packs 2 days ago. I milled 4 of each (one for each animal). I could only use 4 on the lion. Which I did and it was fine. It leveled up but the others I can't use. Right now, I understand, my giraffe is greyed out but that is because I had to use the balls are bears individually (not the care pack) to continue. It stayed greyed out. I could not use any of the care packs on it.

 

The next requirement for a giraffe that has completed level 9, you will see that it asks for 10 care packs. Those 10 packs will advance you 3 steps of the level. If you have less than 10, you cannot donate yet. You will need to mill more care packs.

One more quick question. I thought the care packs equalled 3 steps while the ball and the bear gave only 2. Therefore one would think that the care packs would be more efficient - correct? But what you are saying is that I need 10 care packs to advance the animal up to next level?

 

For the giraffe:

You can donate:
75 toy balls or 77 toy bears or 10 giraffe care packs.

The toy balls and toy bears advance 2 steps (so you would need to donate them 6 times). The care packs advance you 3 steps (so you need to donate them 4 times).

Total for giraffe on level 10:
75 toy balls x 6 = 450
OR

77 toy bears x 6 = 462

OR

10 care packs x 4 = 40 care packs (360 toy bears, 440 Macademia nuts, 440 Baobab fruits)

Giraffe Care Pack
Ingredients: 9 x Toy Bears, 11 Macadamia nuts, 11 x Baobab fruits

As you can see, you will need less drops overall by donating the care packs than donating the drops.
