Thanks, I haven't really been following where I get points, I only have 4 points so far and that seems very low but it is extremely slow getting enough drops on the event field.

 

Why to save? You won't get any extra from Popper peas which you do not get today after 14CET.

New drops will come from Main field today. Only the Artist's Palette will come from event field and we'll get that drop, when we get second event plant on 6th.
I have my longest crop on main field. I was a little bit late last evening and it will be ready after couple of hours the drops will start. I already accidentally harvested my magic trees, which should give Candy fish. I remembered to turn off the cloud rows which give increased drop chances, hopefully I remember to turn them on, when drop part starts.

 

I don't bother with Magic Trees, I harvest them once a day, it is too time consuming and confuddling to have different harvest times (for me anyway). I figure I might lose the drops on the first day but will pick up on the following days without changing my harvest schedule!

I also messed up for the drops today, I had long-timed animal pens out. I cleared them this morning, put out XXL trees, added Super Mulch and when I have harvested them, I will replace them with non-XXL trees with the hope I catch up with drops.

This event is really all guesswork for me, I know there has been a ton of help in this thread but trying to process it all is quite a challenge!

 

The numbers given by Chamomile* are good, but the harvests/donations must be done on a tight schedule and there's no place for mistake. As of today, you should try to make full donations asked by customer #1, the reset time of 7h will be limiting what you can get as Progress Points, so do not hesitate to donate to orders 3 & 4 if you have enough event drops, event if the client will reset before you can make the Poppy Peas donations.

Now that customer #1 has all 4 orders, if completed entirely, you'll get 2 rainbows to play the mini game. That's a bonus, nothing more. The most important thing is to get the Progress Points to get the 2 cloud rows and even maybe the 2 Piccolo Boxes at the end (if this is your goal).

Hi, can anybody tell me if customer #1 really has now 4 orders as it's supposed to be??
Because I don't have it... Maybe it's because I "started" the 7h chrono order before 14h so I have to wait for the next orders...

Got 4 orders here completed 3 3 hours 34mins till complete 4th That will make it 13 progress points Not sure how good or bad that is?

 

You'll get those 4 orders when customer has new 7 hour orders. I had to wait them also.

Actually you get 3 rainbows, if you complete all 4 slots. You get one from slot 2 and two more completing all.

 

Ali - no spend the fish NOW on the customer - every point purchased is a point closer to the 250 total we need for the second cloud row!

Sorry I was absent yesterday...I told my long-suffering DH that I wasn't going to go Joann Fabrics one last time and then my resolve just disappeared and I spent all afternoon there waiting in line to get fabric cut. More of the stock of that store is going to reside in my house than I'd like, but the good news is I should never have to buy fabric again. Wait. Is that good news? I'm not sure. Not only do I have FOCD, I am a "fabric-a-holic" and I probably am going to have withdrawal symptoms even with yesterday's haul. Is there a 12-step group for fabric addiction? If there is, I'm pretty sure it's a quilting bee (and I don't quilt).

 

Changed my mind - senior moment - and have been growing crops and harvesting when I can. So far played 9 mini games and if someone wants to send me an ED, I won't complain (blush).

I have no expectation of completing the event, but thought I'd try and see how it worked since I can't do many RL tasks on weekends.

For main field drops, is it better to fill the filed with crops, or a mix of trees/crops? I just collected about 90 from my harvest of yesterday's amaranth and earlier had about 35 from trees and a shorter growing crop.

I am having a hard time catching items from the float. Is there a strategy to it? Maybe it's just my ancient device, internet connection, or poor hand/eye coordination as I seem to be able to line up the basket with items being tossed, but the basket isn't filling up, and is barely half full most of the time.

 

My goal is not to stress about this event.

One cloud row is enough and its situation is 14/80 points.
Experience points and coins come from the pirate parade quite nicely.

It's not really exciting to be stuck in 4h 20min and 7h cycles for 2 weeks without the opportunity to use the hard-earned aids.

 

Are you playing on a pc, laptop, tablet, phone? Are you controling with a mouse or touch screen? In the past I had some problems catching things because I had reflex to push the cursor upward with the mouse as I was moving it sideways. At some point, I'd would stop moving.

 

I'm playing on a laptop that has an external monitor, mouse, and keyboard (our PC went belly up about a month ago). Laptop's old, but functional (me, too, I guess one could say!)

I have also stopped moving at times when I get to edge of the mousepad. I use a vertical mouse, but don't think that makes a difference.

I just did another harvest and filled an order, so now at 10/250. I've been filling orders that usually require crops + something. Will get one more harvest today around 8pm then tomorrow morning sometime around 7am CST (US) - I don't get up to harvest

 

I'ce decided to join in late and simply to get an electric dancer prize. 110 points. It sounds like that shouldn't be too hard to achieve.

 

I filled my field with trees, no XXLs or XLs and got about 130 drops, not bad I thought.

 

I think the drops look pretty good, I got 42 drops by planting lilac, no problem this time.

 

I have ALL my howies on the main field so drop rate is good with longer overnight crops, even on this farm.

I put in hydrangea this morning that Pigston customer wanted almost all I had the other day, so now I'm trying to replenish.

This farm and SL's are at 25 masks. Waiting for the reset to donate more.

 

I must have missed the fine print, but what are the masks for? I see them as a reward when filling customer orders, none are in my inventory and I am fairly certain I received at least one as a reward.

For the mini-game, do you start with your basket to the far left and move towards the right? I seem to only be able to move left or right, not up and down.

 

The masks are the Progress Points needed to move farther along the progress bar to get the cloud rows & givers. The mini game iteself doesn't count towards getting event prizes besides SG, SSG, TM, etc.

Yes, the basket just moves left - right. We used to see our mouse cursor but noe anymore. That's how I could tell that I was always pushing my mouse slightly upward during the last event and that's ne it reached to top of the event screen it the cursor would move in a clunky way.

the rainbows are just free fancy bonus items that give a minigame with the float. It gives out good EP. Move left to right and then back left as the float leaves the screen.

I noticed really long crops are pretty much guaranteed to give a drop on every 2x2 field but so do aubretia. So it's not really worth doing the ultra long crops. For cranberries I got about half what aubretia dropped. Anything faster than cranberries and drops drop off considerably. I am now trying out some lilac which should be a good drop rate too.

as a ps: Fern was terrible. I think I got zero drops from Fern so I'd avoid growing that one for this event.
