Carnival Queen strategy

Just a quick total as I got it, to finish 36 rounds of the mini game we'll need:

9000 sweetheart roses
900 candy baskets

Crops can only be grown on 3 main fields, but drops come from all fields except Crystal Falls, so prepare appropriately.

This is undoubtedly my favorite repeat event. I was a little worried when I heard they were changing the format for the carnival this time, but was greatly relieved to see we still get all the goodies to catch. This is a good event to grow as much extra as possible, as you can still gather the freebies even after you reach the CR. And, the event crop can be used in the breeding event occurring simultaneously.

Feel free to correct my numbers, everyone, I'm half asleep and headed back to bed.

 

I go by your figures Sports as I will be still here next week working them out.

Happy to see GB, PF and other goodies are still available.

To any new people grow and mill whatever you can, this is a win win event and enjoy

My plan, use as much Suzie and SG I can afford, get the growing quickly out of the way so I can play. That way I can gather more goodies. Time was the bottleneck last time. Also I want to grow stuff for the super pheromone, so need this to be done quickly.

 

Moraine, you get 10 deluxe pheromone from 2nd part of Bunny love also as one of the rewards from Carnival Queen shop if you can wait till got enough coins

 

The more the better I thought. But the clue is still to get to the queen asap. And make as many baskets as possible

 

Five day event, would go much better if we could grow on Baha. The event is very Tropical! Ohhh... so many goodies!!
At least we get Basket drops from two Baha fields. Good Luck to all of us!!

Basket - SOS has been posted, (this is not a hand out - just a helping hand, from someone who can). Remember only 5 days, if you see your drops are low on the first harvest, please let us know. You can only receive Max 20 gifts per day.

 

My own personal strategy...

Skip the breeding event... and focus on throwing all my event crops at milling baskets for catching as many goodies from the queen as possible . I still have surplus left over from the last goodie catching event (from hundreds of baskets), so IMO, this is where it's at for my farms and is the most beneficial vs throwing a billion (lol have not added it up) EV of expensive valuable high end colored animals and a LOT of PF down the BP black hole for limited rewards. CRs... not all that appealing to me this time, vs what I can gather in the baskets

TY for pointing this out phoenixboy... now I just might have to do a few steps of that event after all... since we can save those deluxe pheromones for other breeding events... they will come in handy eventually ​

 

I missed the Carnival Queen last time - I was on my hols and it would have been impossible to manipulate a candy basket with a tablet lol! I was also very new to using it to farm so everything was a trial. I was so jealous of the lovely booty you all got from Queenie but I still wouldn't attempt it on the tablet so really happy to be home (mostly) for this fabulous event. I want mainly PF and FC but I am happy to catch any and everything!

I am not sure how far I will go with Bunny Love - but as the event crops are the same, I don't have to make up my mind too quickly. I will also wait to see how the medals fall and hope for 2,537 Gold Medals (my guess at how much stock required is 253,630,000 EV) so I can save all my precious barn stock!

Of course, I am looking forward to the Valentine's Giveaway! That's one extra event I won't make any complaint about!

Note to self.... reboot laptop and put fresh batteries in my cordless mouse in the morning so all the zooming of the baskets back and forth does not lag or hang.

 

Don't forget to clear cookies and caches today. Less lag/hang time that way, too.

What does deluxe pheromone do? I think I missed something know how to get it and use it but what does it really do?

 

So happy the Carnival Queen is back But this Bunny Love event leaves me shaking my head I've had a bad headache for the last week or so and trying to read the actual number of zeros needed for each level hurts Just seems like alot but I know I will go back and read the FAQ afew times and the rewards to see if I think it's worth it. I know the deluxe pheromones are supposed to help but......will those skips really happen? Best of luck everyone!!

 

Adding a Deluxe Pheromone when selecting a breeding process, increases the chance of jumping one animal's breeding level to the breeding process that the Deluxe Pheromone has been applied to.

I love this event where you go insane gathering up loot. Grow at all costs peoples! You can really do a level up here. Too bad I don't get a cut of the proceeds for endorsement but I recommend getting a basket to start.

Also, I had a look at the Bunny love event...thats waaay over my sensibilites to send a half a billion worth of animals off for a cloud row. So, I'll send drops to my neighbors but for me? it's a flat no.
yeah in turn I wouldn't bet my life on getting enough medals to make a dent, I'm still not parting with my breeding animals; I'm using them for the manufactories and menagerie quests.
been through enough of these to know what the real cost is.

Good luck everyone! This will be fun! I wasn't able to finish this event last time around because I had to work a lot, but this time I should be able to. The CR isn't really great imo but all the potential prizes along the way definitely are wonderful!!

 

As usual I skimmed the FAQ and missed something. I had left my Tropics mostly bare. Had to run back to the farms and plant some honeydew melon on small plots for drops... I already planted rose hips in small plots for drops on the main farm.

I did well with the first Carnival Queen but RL interfered with subsequent events. I'm going to try to make time for this one. I'm going to grow as much event crop as fast as I can but I doubt that I'll use any buff other than water or manure. This is the MAIN event to grow event crops as fast as possible for the duration. I guess I'll put some critters in the Tropics for manure so I can use it for some of the harvests. I expect the cost of manure to sky rocket.

I'm going to do part of Bunny Love since we get the medals for "free". And I'll have some extra event crop to mill, maybe... I'm probably going to use the BBD to breed for some FSQs I'm working on for the Tropical critters. RL permitting...

BTW:
If playing in Puffin browser on an Android tablet/phone... there is a group of icons at the bottom left of the screen... the one on the left looks like a gaming console, on the right a keyboard... the middle one is a mouse. Tap the mouse and you get a trackpad on the right hand side of the screen. You can move the cursor via the trackpad. You can also use this technique to hover the cursor and get the popup info. Actually, now they have a way of controlling the mouse w/o the trackpad, but it was too complicated for me. lol.
