Carnival Queen strategy

*sighs* Alas, I will be going to bed shortly before the event starts. It's 4 a.m. here, but we can't seem to kick night shifts, tho husband's been retired over a year now. So, finish dinner (yummy eggrolls and sweet & sour pork, which was supposed to be dinner 2 nights ago, but just got around to tonight ) and off to my pillow, which I hear calling me very sweetly. For a few hours, at least.

 

Huh? Ok it's way early here, but what am I missing? I don't see the connection between candy points/candies and Star Coins.... we'll get how ever many Star Coins we can catch, just like everything else tossed at us. And then we can spend our accumulated collection of Star Coins that we've caught in our baskets on goodies for sale in the Carnival Shop (and yes, I'm buying those Deluxe Pheromones ASAP too lol).

Did you see This Thread ? To me, this means we do not need to catch the candies this time around for any reason, but when/if they do happen fall into our baskets we will still get some exchange for them after the event is over just like we always do with all our left over drops, event crops, milled items etc. The animated pic in the FAQ doesn't even show a running total of the candy points this time, so to me it doesn't appear they will even be counted, for any purpose. The totals may show in our barn, under Other tho.

This part of the FAQ should be deleted, IMO it's incorrect info, left over from the last 2 Carnival FAQs:

• There will be a mini event requiring you to collect points coming from 3 different types of candies that will be thrown by the Monkey Queen during the parade (more info to be found below):

Bonbon

Value: 3 Candy points

Chocolate bar

Value: 6 Candy points

Lollipop

Value: 10 Candy points


I wish we could grow event crops on Baha too... 250 crops and 25 drops for each basket is really going to limit how many baskets we will have for catching goodies . The last 2 Carnival events my winnings of SG, SSG, PF, Farm Coins etc were all well over 1000 each, and I racked up hundreds of GBs. Afraid that's not gonna be the case this time tho


Sigh, a little less than 2 more hours before we get going on all this grow, mill and catch craziness. ​

 

Another thing, you can activate these buffs- crafting products that reduce the time of growth for grains, flowers...they are only silver slots buffs. So you have free slots left. There are 2 crafting products for each 6% + 4% = 10%. Just find them out and activate them before planting you long time flowers, grains etc., & then if you want activate the 2 buffs for Supergrows and apply supergrows. You can always try an sample in one 2x2 field - ordinary or comfort fields. For flowers, you have refinement of roses, carnation & some might have the cloudrow for flowers too. There are also refinement for grains. But I always stick to carnation or roses. Its easy for me. I don't have the cloudrow for flowers.

I have somewhat typed like Morse code. So if you don't understand, you can ask me. I know long time players know these tips. But the new players might not.

 

12ss12 Would you please explain that in further detail? I've yet to really understand the nuances of making the most of buffs. I seem to learn a little at at time by trial and error.

To make your crops grow faster, you can use crafting products, cloudrows and supergrows. To get more drops you need to do do more harvest. So these are helpful for faster growth.

For example, if you grow carnation (flower)
source of life ( Speeds up production of flowers in normal farm by 6%) + Elixir of live ( Speeds up production of flowers in normal farm by 6%) + Refinement of carnations ( which reduces the growth of carnation flower when you add water, manure, super growths) (you can make them in your Greenhouse in Farmhouse) + Cloud row for flowers( if you have them) + White innocence (increases the effective of super grows) + Fruit Cake (increases the effective of super grows)+ super grows + Carrot Apple Chutney (gives you 2 more crops per field) + Pinkie Pie (increases the time period for crafting products)

Note : you have to activate the crafting products & refinements & cloudrows before planting the crops & applying supergrows, water, manure.

same for roses

You can try these in 1x1 plots, 2x2 plots or comfort fields depending on the time, supergrow stock you have.

Similarly there are crafting products for grains too.

 

What is everyone gonna grow on Baha to help boost drops? And which buffs will you use? Just curious, still devising a plan of attack for that...

 

I will try to keep long time production workshops & animal pens in baha.

 

I will do my usual. 5 minutes before start eat CAC, white innocent, fruit cake, EM and whatever else I have in pantry to assist. Nuke my first 2 sets of 2x2's then hopefully have a full harvest of 1x1's done then long crops for overnight. But up at 4am UK time for work so long crop for me is a 10 hour crop with water to reduce to 8 hours.
Baha Peeps is whatever I need to work around real life/work.

PeepsCA, if ive read FAQs correctly the candie gets converted to points and you recieve game coins to use in shop. I think. I need to re read FAQs

Ok re read, it mentions candie will be converted into points but it does not say what these points are for I assumed they were converted to coins. So now Im more confused

Now now Peeps you asked what we were growing so I replied as my time constraints is what controls what I grow and that varies each day. so I couldnt specifically say what I was going to do

I think I'm gonna go with Healing Ointment 4% Silver slot, Essence of Wisdom 6% Silver slot, Tiki torches 20% no slot , and the Veg +1 CR on Baha for the first 24 hrs. I'll experiment with short and long veg crops. And maybe I'll put out my manufactories and menageries too, maxed out with longest stable/pens. Not sure tho.

 

I'm the same as Phoenixboy, early start tomorrow so will grow the longest possible on Baha that will be ready when I get up.

 

WOW Im not worried about drops dont know what Ive actually got but they are abundant

 

It says, "Each Player will get 1 x Floral Candy Basket at the start of Event to try the mini-game."

I didn't get my first free floral basket. I can't seem to find it. What about others ?

i got 170 baskets so far with all my harvests i had..

I have reached level 7 of Bunny Love with the medals I received and a few lower level breeding animals!

I couldn't believe it, I didn't realise the donations were accumulative - the total requirement is 50,000,000! I thought that was just for the last level! LOL! Colour me a little foolish (or a lot!).

And um... I already have 13 Star Coins, without doing anything but harvest, nuke my event crop seeds and plant filler crops... where'd those come from?

I got 153 baskets & have few more workshops to harvest. I too finished 7 steps in bunny love event. Let's see what happens to the free floral basket. May be BP will run a script and then gives us a floral basket.

I got 201 baskets from rosehips, melons and menageries/manufacturies, (LL at 29%). 206 on my other farm with turnips, melons and menageries/manufacturies (LL at 30%). 1 more manufactury to harvest still for each farm in an hour. Hmmm.

I have not posted about the free basket... somebody else can. I complain enough as it is LOL
