Announcement Chat feature shut down

    Howdy Farmers,

    Our chat was sure not too crowded most of the time, but we are still very sad to inform you about the following news we have received :( :​

    "After long discussions within the Farmerama team including other departments, we have decided to remove the in-game chat function from Farmerama in the upcoming weeks. It wasn´t an easy decision for us as we know that some of you really like the chat and the possibility to exchange with the moderators and other users in a quick and convenient way. But unfortunately we have faced more and more issues in the last few months not only from a technical perspective, but also from a user experience perspective (just to give you one example; we experienced that more and more users misused the chat in a way it was not designed for).​

    We considered all the pro’s and con’s and in the end the list with the cons was longer. It was a really hard and well-discussed topic – but finally the decision was made.

    We are sorry that we have to remove the chat completely and we know that some of you won´t understand and/or appreciate this decision. Some of you have a lot of fun in the chat and find a lot of Farmerama friends in it – we know that you´ll miss this opportunity. Of course, we´ll make sure to give you a nice home in the forum!

    All the chat teams are doing such an amazing job and we are more than grateful for their support and effort during the last years. We´ll make sure that they will find a new home in the national forums.

    A big thanks to all of our chat moderators!! We know that this is also a very tough decision for you to take as you were always really passionate about the chat and really connected and helpful to our users. We are genuinely very sorry to bring you this news.    ​

    At the moment we are planning to remove this in calendar week 50 but as soon as we have a fixed date then we will be sure to update you.

    We hope you can understand the decision and hope you continue to enjoy Farmerama."    ​

    Howdy Farmers,

    The chat will be removed on Thursday, the 10th of December, so after the sync you will no longer be able to use this feature :( .

    Also, on December 16th , two Forum sections will be renamed:
    1. Forum Competitions to Official Forum Competitions
    2. In-Game Chat Issues to Forum games

    The section you've been waiting for will now be back :) !
